"So… how exactly did the three of you meet?" Anna asked, while looking at the others. They were hanging around the front of the archer's house. After saving the world, they definitely deserve an overdue rest. Though they've been together for a long time now, Anna never really asked the three how they've met. "It's a long story!" Matt smiled, burying his sword to the ground. Natalie and Lance nodded in union. The trio walked closer to the green-haired girl, being followed by their cat. "Even I didn't originally own NoLegs!" Matt added, looking at the blue-furred cat. NoLegs meowed and hopped onto Matt's shoulder. "It all started in a tournament…" The Pirate sat down, in front of Anna. Natalie sat right next to Matt, while Lance sat a little closer to Anna. Matt began talking
"I was walking along a city road. While walking, my eyes caught a glimpse of something interesting. A poster that advertises that there will be a tournament held on the gigantic coliseum near my home. It said that there will be a hundred thousand gold coin award for the winners. Seeing this, I immediately made my way to the coliseum to see if they needed anymore warriors to participate. Luckily for me, they were still one warrior short" Matt smiled at the green-haired ranger. Anna nodded her head, looking very invested in the story being told. "Eventually, the event was finally started, and I got to see all the warriors that I was gonna face off. I was a little nervous I guess, but I was pretty confident with my power and speed." Matt grinned sheepishly. He adjusted himself to a more comfortable position. "My first opponent was actually NoLegs…" He sweatdropped and looked at the cat. The furball pouted a little, and quietly hissed. "I uh… defeated him…" Matt carefully chose his words to avoid making the cat anymore angrier. NoLegs seemed to have sighed, but rested his right cheek to the boy's hair. "Anyway, we'll get to him later. I fought multiple warriors, including the annoying Red Mage" He narrowed his eyes a little. "You really hate him, huh?" Anna rose her left brow. Matt nodded, before sighing. "Anyway, after fighting about 7 warriors, I got to face off against Natz" Matt looked at the female mage. Anna looked at her with wide eyes, getting a giggle and a nod. "She looked a lot kinder than the others, so I decided to just scare her with my giant sword" Matt added, before Lance laughed. The pirate looked at the gunner, obviously confused. He let out another laugh, before looking at the pirate. "You scared Natalie with your Massive sword, huh?" He patted the boy's back, who quickly hit himself in the face. "You know what? YOU'RE just dirty-minded" Matt sighed, revealing his slightly red cheeks. Natalie just looked at another direction with squinted eyes, hiding her own rosy cheeks. "Oi, stop messing around and tell me the story!" Anna crossed her arms, changing her sit. "R-right… So I managed to scare Natalie off, and I then I battled two more enemies. Death Goku, being my last one. He was incredibly fast, and was surprisingly powerful. But, I was still able to get the upper hand, and win the tournament! I got the hundred thousand reward, but I was thinking to myself. I don't really have anything to spend this money on, since I don't mind living in a small house. And my parents were already gone, so I had no one to share this gold with. Winning this thing also proved that I was pretty strong. I also loved venturing at different places. So I decided that… I'm gonna spend this money to go an adventure around the world!" Matt finished with his hands up in the air. A few second later, he put both his arms down, and continued with his story. "So, now we go to when I met Natalie" Matt smiled, looking at the mage, again. "Ah!" Anna smiled, looking at the mage too. "This is gonna be interesting!" She quietly mumbled to herself. Natalie sighed, looking a little embarrassed. "Ah geez…" The mage exhaled before sitting properly again.
"Okay… so, I was planning on adventuring. I knew I was strong enough to survive, but I still thought that it'd be too dangerous to go alone. And it would probably be more fun with others anyway. The question was, though, Who would I invite to join me?" He started to talk, again. "And then I saw in the corner of my eye, Natalie. I remembered how she looked like a really nice person" He smiled to himself. "But… she looked like she was part of a royal family" His smile turned into a frown. Anna glanced at her female friend, before looking back at Matt. "I still decided to introduce myself to her, though. And when I did, she was just as nice as how she looked" Matt let out a little laugh. He looked at Natalie and smiled even happier. "Even to this day, she is just as kind, as she is pretty" The pirate laughed again. Anna couldn't help but smile. She looked at Natalie, who was smiling herself. though she looked a lot more embarrassed than the other two. Lance rolled his eyes, before signaling Matt to continue his story. "A-anyway, I asked what she was going to do since the tournament was now over. Natz told me that she was probably just gonna stay at her house since she had nothing else to do. She also told me that it was just very boring at her house, too. I really thought about it, and agreed to myself that this was a good chance to ask her if she'd like to go adventuring with me" Matt grinned at Anna with a very lively look. "And surprisingly, she accepted my offer! I was so happy that Natz actually agreed to go in adventures with me! So I told her that I planned to spend my winnings on gears and materials. She agreed with my thought, and we quickly set ourselves up for an adventure" Matt looked at Natalie again. "Yeah, I told my parents that I would be out for a long while, because I wanted to venture out. They both denied me at first, but I was eventually able to let them agree, because I was bored, and had nothing to do all day" Natalie explained, receiving a curious nod from Anna. Matt waited for a couple more seconds before continuing with his story of their origins.
"And so me and Natz went on a big adventure! We fought golems, Mechs, Death Worms, and even Hydras!" Matt grinned happily. Anna looked at the blonde boy, noticeably shocked. "Wait wait wait… JUST the TWO of you… were able to kill a HYDRA?!" She yelled in a very energetic tone. "Mhm!" Natalie nodded and looked at Matt. "Yep! Me and Natalie were the perfect duo!" He grinned and put his arm around the mage's shoulders. Anna giggled, before sitting back up. "Ah…aha… M-Matt, please continue the story" Natalie weakly smiled while holding her slightly red cheeks. The pirate nodded and let go of her shoulders. "While travelling, Natz and I saw NoLegs again. He was very angry, and wanted revenge since I destroyed him in Brawl Royale. After easily defeating him, though, he became part of our team. After travelling a lot more places, Me, Natz and NoLegs noticed that a VERY creepy forest had an intense flashing light at the very middle. I suggested we check it, and Natalie eventually agreed after a bit of persuasion. We got to the light, and found out that it was Undead Goku! Turns out, he was upset I killed him twice now, and planned to destroy, not only my town, but the entire world! He seemed even more powerful than before, and it looked like he really could destroy the entire world. With Natalie, though, killing Undead Goku once and for all was easier, and a bit more possible! After a long grueling battle, We were eventually able to defeat him one more time, and save the world… oh! and NoLegs was there too…" Matt slowly, sheepishly smiled. Anna rose an eyebrow, looking at Natalie. "Yep, we saved the world" She smiled. Lance nodded at the archer, before looking back at Matt. "And after battling him, Me and Natz went back to adventuring. And after a while, We noticed a trail of burned, toxic, and dangerous forests. Craters, ashes, and smokes were everywhere!" Matt squinted his eyes at Lance. Anna furrowed her eyebrows, looking at the boy as well. "So you really like destroying forests, huh?" Anna growled at him, causing Lance to sweatdrop. "L-look, I never destroyed another forest when I met these two, okay? And I definitely won't destroy anymore forests, now that I've met you, alright?" Lance sighed, raising his pinky. "Pinky promise… or whatever…" He slightly looked down in evident embarrassment. Anna blushed aswell, but brushed it off. "R-right… pinky promise…" She held Lance's pinky with hers. Matt snickered at the two, getting himself a couple of death stares. He just shrugged, and sat properly. The pirate started to narrate, again.
"We followed the destruction that was left behind by what seemed like an absolute monster. The further we went, the worse the destruction became. And after a long LONG time of walking and fighting, we came across the cause of the massive problem. Apparently, this idiot thought that the world will be way better with him as the ruler of it" Matt finished, pointing at Lance with a grin. Lance sighed and rubbed his temple, looking disappointed at himself. "We quickly approached Lance, and started the battle. He was surprisingly more powerful than Undead Goku, especially with his tank Neon Valkyrie, which can launch nukes. Being the perfect duo that we are, though, Me and Natalie were able to defeat him, and save the world a second time!" Matt smiled. "Lance begged for mercy. And since he was already weakened, and his tank was destroyed, we decided to show him some mercy, if he joined our team. He agreed, and helped us in our adventures. Me and him quickly got along, but Natalie… he…" He sweatdropped, before looking at the mage. Natalie's eyes were narrowed, while looking at Lance. Slowly, though, her frown was replaced with a smile. "I don't mind anymore, since Anna is here for him to cling on to" She grinned happily, pointing at the archer. Lance and Anna peeked at eachother, before quickly averting their eyes again."Gah… Shut up, and just continue with the story" Lance said, with his hand on his face. Matt chuckled, and nodded. "One day, while hunting for treasures, we discovered an ancient looking tomb. Going deeper inside, we saw a chained creature that was wrapped in bandages. It seemed dead, so we went closer. But then it suddenly caused a giant shockwave that stunned the three of us. It started to drain our powers, and tried to kill us. But we were so powerful at the moment, that it couldn't take all our power, so we survived. We woke up in some sort of strange village, and remembered what just happened. We knew the world was in danger if we didn't kill that thing, since it was now so powerful. Akron, or so we called it, was in a tomb that we would be able to easily recognize. So after days of travelling, we killed a giant mech, a giant squid, a giant mammoth, a giant ancient robot, an even more powerful hydra, and finally saw the tomb where Akron lies. It looked stranger, however, since fragments of the universe were starting to show up on the entrance of the structure. We entered, and saw that Akron seemed to have started to consume it's surroundings. And so, we approached him for another battle!" Matt balled his right hand into a fist. "Very dramatic…" Anna slyly smirked, earning a chuckle. "Hey, this one was the hardest battle we've ever had so far, okay? I have to liven it up!" Matt grinned at Natalie and Lance, before looking back at Anna. "Anyway, we battled Akron!"
"After an even harder and longer battle than with Lance, the three of us were able to kill Akron. He, along with his powers, just disappeared into a black shadow, that vanished into thin air. And with that, we saved the world a third time… Well, we DID cause that problem to happen… But yeah, we got him" Matt paused for a second. Anna nodded again, looking even more focused at the story. "No evil really tried to take over the world for a long time. We were just going on adventures, and finding treasures. Killing lots of dangerous monsters for fun, and ya know… kinda stealing" Matt awkwardly laughed and looked at Anna. She looked back at the blonde with an unimpressed face. "Let me guess, This is definitely how you guys met me?" She rose her eyebrow, sounding disappointed. "I told you that I didn't steal the gem, though" He sweatdropped, earning a sigh. Anna sat back up again, getting ready to listen again. "So… ya know what happens. You caught me, I hold back, We reunite with Natalie, I explain that I was too awesome to kill, we kill the Mighty Oak, We reunite with Lance, I explain I just held back, We kill even more ridiculous monsters, GodCat introduces herself, We eventually stopped her with an even LONGER and HARDER battle, And now… We're here…" Matt smiled, looking at all his teammates. He stood up in excitement. "Now there's four of us that are going on adven… tures…" Matt suddenly frowned, slowly turning his head to the archer. Natalie and Lance also looked at Anna in union. She curiously looked at the four with a frown. "Oh yeah… You finally helped the villages get their gems back…" Natalie frowned. Anna's eyes grew a little, before her frown turned into a smile. "After going on that adventure… I'd happily travel with you guys… if you want" She happily grinned at the three. The others looked at her with their own wide eyes. "R-really?" Matt asked the girl. Anna nodded her head. Lance's smile grew even wider, suddenly pulling the girl into a hug. "Welcome to the team, Anna!" He hugged the archer even tighter. Anna couldn't talk, as she was too astonished with his sudden act. Getting back to her senses though, she began to slowly turn red. "U-uh… Y-yeah… Thanks, Lance…"She didn't hug back, as she was still a little too embarrassed. Matt and Natalie just smirked at the two, along with NoLegs. "Meow" NoLegs seemed to sigh, before going back under Matt's Pirate cap. Lance, however, couldn't care less. He was just happy that Anna was staying. He let go of the girl, showing an unfamiliar cheerful smile. Something he's never shown the others before, and something that Anna really liked. She couldn't help but smile herself. Matt sighed and looked at the sky. Their fantastic adventures and battles will be really epic.
