Chapter 25: "Clearing Up Some Loose Ends"
A/N: Well, welcome back to the world of Sailor Space Jam, ladies and gentlemen! Now that the Looney Tunes, Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn have been freed from the cages Swackhammer was holding them in, the Tune Squad is ready to go up against Swackhammer to rescue Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus from his clutches. Once Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus regain consciousness, they start finding out more details behind Swackhammer's latest scheme that focuses on taking over the NBA from the inside out.
Chapter Synopsis: Since the Looney Tunes, Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn have been rescued by their teammates on the Tune Squad and saved from eternal slavery of delivering nothing but jokes and gags on Moron Mountain, the Tune Squad decides to challenge Swackhammer to rescue Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus from his clutches before their powers are drained for his nefarious scheme to take over the NBA. Luckily, the two girls manage to regain consciousness as they start finding out more details about Swackhammer's scheme.

Animation and Toei Animation. Also, the story will be set in the year of 2016, 20 years after the release of the original Space Jam.

Date: Tuesday, November 15, 2016 – Moron Mountain Intergalactic Universe – Moron Mountain, Outer Space
While the Looney Tunes followed the Inner Guardians and Sailor Starlights up to their spaceship where Kaolinite and the Witches 5 were sitting, the Tunes were surprised upon seeing the girls inside as Daffy's eyes widened in shock, then he turned to look at the girls and said to Sailor Mars, "Wait a minute, you girls had Kaolinite and the Witches 5 fly you all up here? I would've expected you to ask the Ayakashi Sisters to do this!"
"Well, Daffy, they volunteered to help us out," Sailor Mars said as she shrugged her shoulders. "Besides, I guess they wanted to make up for all that had occurred during the Ultimate Game tonight."
The Witches 5 and Kaolinite all exchanged glances among themselves, then they gave sheepish smiles as Mimete said, "Uhh… yeah, I guess you could say that…"
Before Daffy could make a comment in response, Sailor Venus looked around and asked, "Uh, guys, where's Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn?"
The Looney Tunes, Sailor Starlights and the other Guardians looked around for Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn, but eventually came to the realization that they were not with the group. Upon coming to this realization, it increased concern among the Tune Squad as she said, "Oh, no! They must've followed Bugs Bunny to catch up with the rest of the group!"
The group in the spaceship gave looks of simultaneous shock and surprise as Wile E. said, "I guess those two are hoping to rescue Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus from Swackhammer's clutches, but will they be able to handle all of that pressure?"
"Well, Bugs mentioned that he was going to catch up with the others to stop Swackhammer, so I'm sure they will be well-protected," Sailor Star Healer said in a reassuring tone.
Although there was a sense of relief in knowing that Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn were going to be alongside Bugs, Jimmy, Neptune, Pluto, Bupkus and Nawt, the group was still concerned because they thought that things would go wrong that would cause them to get hurt really bad. Eventually, Pound, Blanko and Bang returned to the spaceship as Blanko said, "Hey, dudes, I guess you all managed to make it back up here without a hitch, huh?"
"You could say that, Blanko, but there's only one problem here," Sailor Venus said with a sigh.
Blanko raised an eyebrow in confusion, asking, "What do you mean by that, Sailor Venus?"
"Apparently, Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn decided to accompany the others to battle Swackhammer in order to rescue Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus from his clutches," Wile E. explained. "It's hard to say what will happen, but, by my calculations—"
Lola then jumped in and added, "We hope that the two girls will be in safe hands while they do battle with Swackhammer."
The Monstars were surprised about what Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn were going to do, but they did feel a little better when they realized that they were going to catch up with Bugs and the others. However, they still had their concerns in regards to what would happen if Swackhammer sees the group coming in to rescue Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus. Besides, if there was one thing they knew about Swackhammer, he would do literally anything to ensure his victory, no matter what the cost was.
Date: Tuesday, November 15, 2016 — Moron Mountain Intergalactic Universe / Swackhammer's Main Office — Moron Mountain, Outer Space
Back with Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus, the two Sailor Guardians finally woke up, rubbing their heads and groaning lightly as Sailor Moon looked around the room and said, "Wha? What happened? Sailor Uranus, are you alright?"
Sailor Uranus woke up with a stirring feeling in her head as she looked at Sailor Moon and said, "I'm fine, Sailor Moon. Just a little dizzy, that's all."
The two Sailor Guardians looked up and realized that they were back in Swackhammer's office, where he planned to drain the two of their powers to create his new superteam. Before Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus could stand back up, they were stopped from an ominous voice saying, "Well, look who finally decided to wake up once and for all…"
Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus both turned to see Swackhammer standing at the doorway of his office, lighting up his cigar with an evil look on his face and said, "You girls thought I forgot about my plan, huh? I wasn't going to let you both leave without getting what I need from the two of you."
"Listen, Swackhammer, you are not going to take our powers away from us, so you could create your own basketball league!" Sailor Moon said as she and Sailor Uranus stood up, ready to do battle with the Moron Mountain owner. "Besides, you know how this story is going to end: you are going to lose once again and you will end up—"
Suddenly, in the middle of Sailor Moon's speech, Swackhammer grabbed her by her neck, glaring at her as he said, "Oh, why don't you save your little speech, you little pixie? Why is it hard for you to admit that I actually won over you, your friends and those stupid Looney Tunes? Just face the facts, Sailor Moon, you finally lost and I actually won!"
Swackhammer proceeded to throw Sailor Moon to the wall, knocking her out for a moment as Swackhammer pulled out his device that would drain Sailor Moon of her powers. Once he turned it on, he walked up to Sailor Moon and tried to get her powers, but he was quickly stopped by Sailor Uranus elbowing him in the stomach, causing him to drop his power-sucking machine and land on the ground. With Swackhammer temporarily incapacitated, Sailor Uranus picked up Sailor Moon and ran out of the office to catch up with the Looney Tunes, Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn.
When Swackhammer regained consciousness, he looked around and realized that Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus had gotten away from his clutches. Upon making this realization, Swackhammer seethed with anger and decided that he had enough playing nice once and for all. He proceeded to pull out his ultimate weapon that he saved for a special occasion: the Moron Mountain Toon Destroyer 3000, which would instantly destroy any Toon he could find in the Multiverse.
Date: Tuesday, November 15, 2016 — Moron Mountain Entrance / Witches 5's Spaceship — Moron Mountain, Outer Space
Eventually, Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus had reunited with the entire Tune Squad as they had caught up with each other inside the spaceship that the Witches 5 and Kaolinite was driving. While they were overjoyed to see that they had survived the ordeal, they knew they had to move quick because Swackhammer's bloodlust had grown to severe levels of depravity as Pound said to everyone, "Listen, guys, I'd hate to be the one to end the whole reunion tour, but you think we could get a move on and fast?"
At Pound's word, everyone quickly rushed to their seats on the spaceship as Kaolinite turned on the ship to leave Moron Mountain before they ended up seeing Swackhammer. Once they left the infamous outer space theme park, everyone breathed a sigh of relief as they knew they would never have to deal with Swackhammer and his corrupt business dealings ever again… or, so they thought until they heard a loud blast from outside the ship.
"Whoa! What was that?" Sailor Mars said as she tried to get up from the floor.
"Sheesh, Kaolinite, I never thought you found a way to take this thing into hyper-galactic overdrive!" Lola snarked as she rubbed her head for a bit.
Kaolinite was befuddled by Lola's remark as she said in response, "Uh, Lola, I'm sorry to say, but that wasn't even me. I've got a sneaking suspicion that there are some other sinister forces at play…"
However, Daffy quickly brushed off Kaolinite's concern as he said, "'Sinister forces'? Ha! Come on, Kaolinite, don't you understand that we've already gotten away from that demented, intergalactic slob of a theme park owner? Besides, if I didn't know any better, I would say that we're about a million light-years away from—"
Just as Daffy was making his declaration, he found himself ducking from a nearby laser blast from the Moron Mountain Toon Destroyer 3000, causing him to look around his surroundings to see where that came from. However, he was shocked to see that Swackhammer had made his way up to the ship they were traveling in, sporting a deranged look on his face as he said, "Well, Mr. Duck, I guess you and your little Tune Squad weren't expecting to see me again, eh?"
Before Daffy could respond, Bugs and Lola both popped up to see Swackhammer as the former rolled his eyes and said, "Oh, brother… Swackhammer, why can't you just acknowledge that the game is over?"
"Yeah, and there's no way we're ever going to be your attractions at your rundown amusement park," Lola said.
Swackhammer started to seethe with anger until he realized that Kaolinite and the Witches 5 were present on the spaceship, then he realized that he could regain the upper hand by having them step up and do his dirty work for him. He proceeded to smirk deviously at the three Tunes as he said, "Ah, what do I need with the Moron Mountain Toon Destroyer 3000 when I could have the Witches 5 and Kaolinite destroy all of you myself?"
With that, Swackhammer proceeded to burst into the spaceship, shocking the other members of the Tune Squad and the Witches 5 as he said, "Boom, baby! You all thought you got rid of old Swackhammer, huh?"
Sailor Mars still wanted to get in a quick punch at Swackhammer's face for what he did earlier, but she found herself being held back by Sailor Moon as she said in a reassuring tone, "Wait, Sailor Mars! Don't do anything that you might regret!"
Sailor Mars turned to look at Sailor Moon in shock as she said, "Wait, what? Sailor Moon, this guy literally kidnapped you, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Mini-Moon and Sailor Saturn, along with the Looney Tunes, and you're telling me to—"
However, Sailor Moon quickly stopped Sailor Mars as she gave her a knowing and reassuring smile, giving a light nod of her face as she said, "Trust me, Mars, I have a plan."
Sailor Mars was confused for a moment, then she realized that Sailor Moon was alluding to something involving the Witches 5 and Kaolinite. Upon making this realization, Sailor Mars gave a smile as she said, "Oh, I see where you're going with this… I hope you know where you're going with this."
As Sailor Moon nodded her head, Swackhammer was busy threatening the Tune Squad with his Moron Mountain Toon Destroyer 3000, saying, "Do you see this? This device is going to erase each and every one of you from the animated world unless you all are willing to be my new attractions at Moron Mountain! So, what do you say: are you all in or are you out?"
The Tune Squad stood in stunned silence for a moment, but they all shook their heads and decided not to heed Swackhammer's demands. Feeling more enraged than ever before, Swackhammer proceeded to pass the Moron Mountain Toon Destroyer 3000 to Eudial, saying to her, "Alright, this is it! This is your one shot of you girls being on my good side! Destroy these stupid Looney Tunes, Monstars and Sailor Guardians, and I will give you all full ownership of the Moron Mountain amusement park! Just heed to my demands and I promise you: none of you will be harmed!"
The other members of the Witches 5 and Kaolinite were all left in confusion as far as what to do, but Eudial seemed to feel that desparate times called for desparate measures. Just as she powered on the Moron Mountain Toon Destroyer 3000 and pointed it at Bugs, Daffy and Lola, she was stopped by Sailor Moon, who said, "Wait! Eudial, you and the others don't have to do this!"
Eudial was shocked to see Sailor Moon trying to be the voice of reason for her and the rest of the Witches 5, raising an eyebrow in shock as she said, "Huh? Sailor Moon? What are you doing?"
"Listen to me, you girls don't have to follow the demands of this gluttonous greedy monster here," Sailor Moon said, pointing to Swackhammer. "You girls have already proven yourselves as being worthy opponents during the Ultimate Game, so you have nothing else to prove to Swackhammer. Besides, if you girls are morally against the idea of destroying us on behalf of Swackhammer, why did you all put up with the constant disrespect?"
"Why? Because he's bigger…" Tellu said while shuddering.
"…and more powerful…" Cyprine added.
While the Witches 5 were putting together the pieces of what Sailor Moon was alluding to, it finally hit them as Mimete said, "…than we used to be… Wait a minute, that's it!"
The Witches 5 then turned to look at Swackhammer, who went from being threatening and intimidating to a scared little kid in a matter of seconds as he reared back and said, "What are you doing?"
Much to his shock, the Witches 5 proceeded to move towards him in a threatening manner as Swackhammer tried to beg for mercy, saying, "Wait a minute, girls, there's no reason for you to turn on me at such an integral time like this! I could make you girls megastars! I could make you all the face of my new basketball league! Please don't kill me, I'm a world-class entrepreneur in outer space!"
However, Swackhammer's pleas for mercy went unheard as the Witches 5 proceeded to pounce on Swackhammer, much to the pleasure of the Tune Squad as Yakko said to the audience, "This hurts us more than it does him!"
Dot then popped up and added, "But, not really."
Soon, the Witches 5 revealed that they had wrapped Swackhammer up and had him placed in a Nike-brand rocket as Viluy said, "Well, what do you know? It looks like we did get the upper hand on an enemy for once!"
Swackhammer was sweating nervously as he looked up and said, "Wh-wh-what are you gonna do?"
Eudial just looked at Swackhammer with a devious look as she said, "Oh, you'll see…"
Date: Tuesday, November 15, 2016 — Entrance at the Warner Bros. Rectangular Gardens — Looney Tune Land, Animation Multiverse
Once they made it back to Looney Tune Land safe and sound, the Witches 5 placed the Swackhammer rocket on the ground as Kaolinite walked up and lit the fuse, causing Swackhammer to look at Kaolinite in shock and say, "Kaolinite, even you would turn on me at a time like this?"
"Listen, Swacky, the perks were beautiful, but you're too much of a psycho for my tastes," Kaolinite said as she lit the fuse to fire the Swackhammer rocket back to Moron Mountain.
Once the Swackhammer rocket landed back onto Moron Mountain, the Tune Squad all cheered as Jimmy gave a look of approval and said to Kaolinite and the Witches 5, "I guess you girls had it in you the whole time, huh?"
The Witches 5 all gave warm smiles and blushes, then Jimmy remembered an important detail as he turned to Bugs and said, "Oh, just one more thing, though—pass me the ball real quick, Bugs—you girls gotta give my friends their talent back."
The Witches 5 all gave sad sighs as Eudial sadly asked, "Aw, man, do we have to?"
Jimmy calmly nodded his head as he added, "Yeah, it was part of the deal. Don't worry, you girls won't forget about this whole experience: you just won't have the NBA players' talent anymore."
The Witches 5 could only look at each other, but they proceeded to honor their end of the deal as Tellu said while placing her hands on the basketball, "Oh, okay, we'll do it."
"I mean, fair is fair and you Tunes did defeat us on the court," Mimete said as she added her hands to the basketball.
Soon, the remaining members of the Witches 5 followed suit and proceeded to place their hands on the basketball, which caused them to shake as the talent was placed back into the ball while the Witches 5 turned back to their normal selves. Once the talent was transferred to the basketball, the Witches 5 found themselves back in their normal attire as Mimete said, "Wow, that was so much fun!"
Viluy just looked at her basketball uniform as she said, "I don't know about you, but did we have to keep the uniforms, too?"
However, Eudial was impressed by how her eam uniform fit so well as she said, "Well, I gotta say: I can make this uniform work so well!"
Cyprine rubbed her head as she said, "Wow, what a trip!"
Tellu just giggled in response as she said, "I know, but I'm up for another one, though!"
Kaolinite just looked at her watch as she said to the rest of the Witches 5, "Well, no worries, girls, I guess we can go back home, seeing as how we don't have to worry about the greedbag anymore."
"'Greedbag'? Witty, very witty," Mimete said while giggling a bit.
Eudial then walked up to the Tune Squad, leaving them confused as to what would happen next. Eudial specifically looked at Sailor Moon, who was ready for whatever tricks Eudial had up her sleeves, but she was surprised when she saw that Eudial… walked up to her and gave her a hug as she whispered, "Thank you, Sailor Moon… thanks for everything…"
Sailor Moon was still left in surprise, but she reciprocated Eudial's hug as she said, "Uh, no problem, Eudial. It's wha we do best."
Wih that, Eudial proceeded to catch up with the Witches 5 and Kaolinite as they all boarded the spaceship and left Looney Tune Land. Bugs then walked up to the Sailor Guardians and said, "Well, that went a lot better than I expected, but thanks for all your help, ladies. You girls really impressed me with your skills on the court during the Ultimate Game."
"Yeah, I guess you could say those little make-out sessions with the Monstars really worked wonders, huh?" Daffy said, snickering for a bit until he received a head smack from Lola. "OW! What? What did I say?!"
The Sailor Guardians just giggled in response as Sailor Moon looked at Bugs and said, "Oh, no problem, Bugs, it was just an honor of playing with such animated legends like yourselves, not to mention the chance of playing with an NBA superstar in the form of Jimmy Butler."
"Yeah, I was kinda wishing that Michael Jordan would've been here to see this, but I'm sure Jimmy will give him all the details when he gets back to Earth," Bugs said as he took a bite from his carrot.
Jimmy then walked up to Bugs and knelt down to his level as he said, "Believe me, Bugs, I just know MJ will be amazed to hear about this one."
Suddenly, Sailor Mini-Moon walked up to Sailor Moon and said, "Sailor Moon, do you think it would be possible if we could stay here in Looney Tune Land?"
The other Sailor Guardians gave looks of surprise as Sailor Moon said, "What makes you say that, Sailor Mini-Moon?"
"Well, it just seems like it would be a lot more fun hanging out around here," Sailor Mini-Moon said. "I mean, don't get me wrong: I love our home and everything, but I just love the energy, the atmosphere, the wackiness of Looney Tune Land. Do you think it would be possible?"
Sailor Moon thought about it for a moment, then she looked at Bugs and said, "Well, Bugs, what do you say? Are you up for it?"
Bugs had mixed feelings about it, but the Sailor Guardians all gave big grins and puppy-dog eyes as they all said in unison, "Please?"
Daffy could only roll his eyes in disgust as he said, "Oh, brother."
However, Bugs decided to give them a little motivation as he said, "Well, you know something, girls? I'm sure all of you and Tuxedo Mask would bring a little more star power to Looney Tune Land, but I'm not sure if you girls are looney enough."
"Looney enough?" Sailor Venus said in a tone of surprise.
Suddenly, the Inner Guardians dressed themselves up as the Looney Tunes characters and performed a little song-and-dance slapstick routine, which all culminated in a big explosion. Luckily, the girls pulled themselves back together and gave a bow as the Looney Tunes and Monstars gave them applause.
"Well, I'm sure you girls could stay with us, but what about your homeworld?" Bugs said. "Unless you girls would like to come back and visit anytime you want."
The Sailor Guardians thought about the offer, but they ultimately decided to keep in touch with the Tunes, hoping to come back and visit whenever they would like to. Suddenly, Jasmine rushed up to Jimmy and said, "Jimmy, thank goodness I caught up with you! Do you know what time it is?"
Porky looked at his many watches as he said, "It's s-s-seven-fi-fi-fi—seven-fi-fi-fi—eh, quarter past seven."
"Exactly, you've got a big basketball game in five minutes!" Jasmine said.
Jimmy nodded his head for a bit as he said, "Alright then, just hold this for me real quick while I say goodbye."
Jimmy then handed Jasmine the mystical basketball as he gathered his Tune Squad teammates together and said, "Well, it was a long time getting to it, but I really enjoyed playing with you guys. It was such an honor to be part of a tradition that the great Michael Jordan had started. You all on the Tune Squad have got a lot of…"
"Uh-huh?" The Tune Squad asked in unison.
"Well, you all got a lot of, uh…" Jimmy said, trying to find the right adjective.
"Yes?" The Tune Squad said.
Jimmy was unable to find the right adjective to describe the Tune Squad, but he managed to wing it as he said, "Well, whatever it is, just know that you all have got a lot of it."
The Tune Squad all smiled and said thanks while the Monstars offered to bring out their classic Moron Mountain spaceship to escort Jimmy and Jasmine back up to the real world. Before Jimmy left to go back home, he quickly turned and looked at Bugs as he said, "Oh, and Bugs?"
"Eh, J.B.?" Bugs said, raising an eyebrow.
"Make sure you stay out of trouble," Jimmy said with a laugh as he caught up with Jasmine and the Monstars.
Bugs then looked at Lola with a playful smile as he said, "Don't worry about a thing, J.B., you know I will."
Lola then giggled in response as she and Bugs exchanged an electrifying kiss, which caused Lola to go Looney as Bugs said to the audience, "Yeah, I know, but Lola and I always have that effect on each other."
Well, what do you know? We are finally getting to the homestretch of the first Sailor Space Jam installment! Apologies for taking so long to get back into the groove of things with this story, but I was having a tough time trying to figure out how to wrap up the story until I started getting a clearer idea recently. Plus, the focus on other fanfics and schooling left me unable to get back into the story in a way I had intended. Anyway, I hope that this chapter will suffice because there is only one more chapter left before this story is finally completed!
Anyway, I had wanted to close out this story in a different way compared to how I would usually do these Space Jam-styled fanfics, so I felt that having a quick mini-battle to subdue Swackhammer would've been a nice change of pace. Another apology for the shorter length of this chapter, but this should tide things over while I work on the final chapter of this story, so I could go ahead and do more with the second installment.
By the way, I'm sure you all have heard the news of Space Jam: A New Legacy in regards to the plot and the recent tie-in with Microsoft, so expect elements of that movie to play into the events of the second installment. However, the second installment will be influenced by the "Defy the Monstars" campaign that Jordan Brand had done in honor of Space Jam's 20th anniversary, so the next installment will not follow the usual Space Jam format, but just know that there will still be a big basketball game, so it will keep in the tradition in that way.
Anyway, to wrap things up: will Jimmy Butler be able to get the NBA players their talents back after the Tune Squad's victory? How will the Monstars and Sailor Guardians keep in touch once they go their separate ways? Who will be the next villain to challenge the Tune Squad to a basketball game?
