KidsWBYungsta Presents Looney Tunes & Sailor Moon: Sailor Space Jam! — Chapter 26: The Grand Finale

Date: Tuesday, November 15, 2016 — Stage 18 at the Warner Bros. Studios Lot — Burbank, California

Back in the real world, everyone was busy waiting for Jimmy Butler to arrive on the Warner Bros. Studios lot in order to take part in a special basketball game in honor of Space Jam's 20th anniversary, which had a huge audience that consisted of NBA legends, big-name celebrities and people who were involved in the original Space Jam. However, everyone was waiting for Jimmy to arrive in order for the game to really go down as MJ looked at his watch and said, "Man, it's getting late… where's Jimmy?"

Miranda Magnificent was among those in the audience as she looked at the court and asked, "Where is Jimmy anyway?"

Her brother, Darius Magnificent, thought about a conversation he had with Jimmy a few days earlier, then he said in a nonchalant tone, "Who knows? I guess he's not back from his other game yet."

However, Miranda could raise an eyebrow in confusion as she said, "Wait… what other game?"

Before Darius could respond to his sister, everyone in the audience was surprised to hear a booming sound from outside, causing the audience to leave the stands and the players to leave the court to see where the source of the booming was coming from. However, they were surprised to see that it was an actual spaceship landing on the Warner Bros. lot, the same one the Nerdlucks rode in the original Space Jam.

While everyone was trying to figure out what was going on, the door to the spaceship opened as Jasmine Shay walked out of the spaceship with a megaphone in her hand, clearing her throat as she announced, "Ladies and gentlemen!"

As everyone gathered around each other to hear Jasmine's announcement, Jasmine then turned to the spaceship with a smile on her face as she said, "…Jimmy Butler!"

Upon hearing his name being announced, Jimmy walked out of the spaceship in a special Space Jam-themed uniform, holding his own signature basketball while smiling and waving at the audience and the players present on the lot.

The next day, the five NBA players who had lost their talent were gathering in the gymnasium, sulking over the loss of their skills and the temporary lockout of the NBA season due to this recent pandemic. King James walked up to the other players as he gave a sad sigh and said, "Guys, let's be real here… we suck now."

"Yeah, I see what you mean, man, even my cousin is playing better than I do right now," KD said, shaking his head.

Beastbrook looked at the other players and said, "Well, at least all you guys are still tall. I don't have anything in this game now. I just look like another regular guy out here in these streets…"

While the other players were agreeing and tried to find some levity in the situation, the players were surprised to hear the doors open in the gymnasium as two mysterious figures appeared in front of them. However, the sun was shining so bright that the players were unable to distinguish who they were as High Griffinition said, "Hey, who is that over there?"

"I don't know," Beastbrook said.

However, the voice of one of the figures instantly keyed them to who they were as he said, "Man, I guess the NBA's been lacking since you guys have been out of commission, huh?"

"Hey, it's J.B.!" King James said as he and the other players walked up to Jimmy and Jasmine.

"Hey, J.B., what's up, man? Where you been?" Sir SlamMarcus said as the players and Jimmy all exchanged high-fives.

"Don't worry about a thing, guys, things have been fine," Jimmy said in a reassuring tone. "Let's face it… the game stinks now without all of us in there."

The players groaned in annoyance as Jimmy said, "I know, I understand… and you want your talent back, right? Well, what little you had of it anyway."

However, the players reacted to Jimmy's little trash talk with a little annoyance as High Griffinition said, "C'mon, Jimmy, it's been hard enough as it is."

"C'mon, J.B., cool it with the jokes, huh?" KD said.

Jimmy could only smile to himself as he looked towards his gym bag and said, "I might regret this, but this is for the greater good. Jasmine, pass me the ball real quick."

By Jimmy's word, Jasmine pulled out the mystical basketball that contained all the players' talents, surprising the players in question as they reared back in surprise and said in unison, "Whoa! What is that?"

"It looks like something out of Star Wars," Beastbrook said in surprise.

Jimmy looked at the five NBA players and said, "So, who wants to be the first one to try this out? Just touch it."

The players just looked at each other and felt that it was a risk to even touch the ball as High Griffinition said, "No way, José."

Jimmy looked at KD and said, "KD, you still want a chance to win an NBA title, don't you? Just touch the ball."

KD thought about it for a minute, then he shook his head as he said, "I don't know about that, J.B., it might be too much of a risk, man."

"Okay, well, you can play with a bad game for not only the rest of the season, but the rest of your career," Jimmy said, then he tried to rise KD's spirits back up as he added, "Just touch the ball. I promise you, it'll be okay."

KD looked at the other players who were present, but they came to realize that it was the best way to get their talent back, seeing as how the other ways were not working out to their advantage. KD proceeded to slowly reach his hand out towards the ball before ultimately touching the ball, giving a quick exhale of relief as Jimmy looked at King James and said, "LeBron, go on ahead and touch the ball. The rest of you guys, go on and touch it."

With that, King James and the other NBA players proceeded to follow Jimmy's word as they touched the ball, then they were surprised to see that the ball gave them their talents back with quick and relative ease. Once they took their hands off of the ball, Jimmy quickly passed the ball to Beastbrook, who reacted in surprise as he said, "Hey, what do you know? I caught it! Looks like I can handle that rock again, baby!"

After Beastbrook reveled in having his basketball skills back, Beastbrook passed the ball to KD, who proceeded to perform a slam dunk, overjoyed in finally having his skills back in his body. While the other NBA players had fun in having a little shootaround with their skills back, Jimmy could only smile in response as he and Jasmine proceeded to leave the gymnasium until he was stopped by King James saying, "Hey, Jimmy! Don't you wanna stick around and play a little 3-on-3 or something?"

Jimmy shook his head in response as he said, "Nah, a brother's gotta rest up is all."

"What are you talkin' about? You're not gonna try to work on a baseball swing or anything like that, are ya?" King James said in a playful tone.

"Hey, leave the young Bull alone, L.J., you know he's gotta really step up his basketball game this season!" KD said, playfully nudging King James on his shoulder.

High Griffinition could only look at Jimmy and raise an eyebrow, saying, "Y'know, I doubt he'll be able to pull it off this year, guys."

Jasmine looked up at Jimmy and said, "Jimmy, did you hear that? They don't think you'll be able to pull it off as the new leader of the Chicago Bulls now."

Jimmy looked at his fellow NBA stars, who all gave playful smiles and shrugs, then just smiled as he said, "Well, there's only one way to find out…"

While everything seemed to be back to normal on Earth and in the Looney Tunes' universe, a mysterious being was revealed to have been watching the events from afar. Currently, she was busy watching the big basketball game that had occurred between the Tune Squad and the Witches 5. While watching the game on the big screen, the mysterious being said to herself, "Interesting strategy from the Witches 5, but still not enough to pull it off…"

As she jumped out of her seat, she proceeded to walk around her lair and looked at the photos of the Sailor AnimaMates, laughing evilly to herself as she said, "Don't worry, girls, I've got a chance for us to get back on the top spot and finally take over the universe!"

Just as she saw Jimmy Butler's game-winning slam dunk against the Witches 5, the mysterious being gave a devious smile as she said, "Watch your back, Looney Tunes and Sailor Guardians, because the Sailor AnimaMates are going to be back in action!"

After the screen faded to black, Bugs Bunny pulled the black screen off as he was in the signature Looney Tunes orange rings, taking a bite from a carrot as he said to the audience, "Well, that's all, folks!"

Suddenly, Porky Pig popped up beside Bugs and said to the rabbit, "Th-th-th-that's my line! Th-th-th—"

However, just as Porky was going to say his classic closing line to the audience, he was interrupted by Daffy Duck, who put his hand on Porky's face and said in a smug tone, "Step aside, Babe! Why don't you stand back and let a real star do this? That's all, f—!"

However, Daffy found himself being pushed out of the Looney Tunes rings by the Sailor Guardians, who all said in unison, "That's all, folks!"

Suddenly, Bugs, Porky and the Sailor Guardians saw that Jimmy Butler was pulling up the Looney Tunes rings from behind, wearing his Tune Squad uniform as he looked at the audience and said, "Can I go home now?"

Once Jimmy pulled the screen back down, the signature Looney Tunes closing catchphrase, "That's all Folks!", was written on the screen as the screen finally faded to black.

Whew! I finally managed to get this story done after four long years! I was actually intended to have this story completed in the first-half of 2019, but other things got in the way, which caused this project to be placed on the backburner of my mind until these recent months. However, I have to say that I am overall pleased with how this story turned out and how I managed to combine the worlds of Looney Tunes and Sailor Moon in such a meaningful way.

Anyway, I hope to hit the ground running again for the new chapters for Sailor Space Jam: Rise of the Sailor AnimaMates, which is going to have a different take from this installment or even the other Space Jam stories. For one, although events from this story and the original Space Jam have still occurred in canon, it is going to be more like Who Framed Roger Rabbit meets Space Jam with a touch of The LEGO Movie. Also, as far as the Monstars' role in the next installment, they are going to play a minor role in the story as there are going to be some other Warner Bros. characters who will be joining the Tune Squad. Who will be the Tune Squad's new members? Well, you all will have to stay tuned for Sailor Space Jam: Rise of the Sailor AnimaMates to find out!

Until then, thanks for reading the first installment of the Sailor Space Jam! series and "Stay Tooned" for the second installment, folks!
