I will not put the disclaimer this time as it should be obvious that I don't own Divergent. If it's required to put a disclaimer ever chapter just let me know.

After the tour and burning our old clothes after of course changing into our new dark colored clothes the Dauntless wore the new initiates went to the factions dining hall for their first meal in their new faction. Harmony was sat with Naia and two twin Erudite tranfers James and Marissa.

Harmony remained quiet prefering to listen to the conversation. The dining hall was loud. It was different from back in Amity. No one shouted over eachother lest you wanted to get stuck with the peace serum.

"What were your test results?" Marissa asked the group.

Harmony looked up at that. "We arent supposed to talk about our test results." She remained the former Erudite. Amusement could clearly be seen in her brown eyes.

"We already chose our factions. What's the worst they could do to us now?"

"You mean besides kick us out of Dauntless?" Naia questioned.

Tris and Four weren't too far with their friends and could hear the conversation. No one said anything though, curious to see where the topic would go.

"I got Dauntless. I wasnt too surprised since I never fit in at Amity." Harmony told them. It was true that she didnt. She was always too loud and had a temper that had yet to make an appearance in Dauntless.

"Candor. But I didn't want to stay here." Naia admitted. It wasn't that she hated Candor. She just always admired the Dauntless members who protected the citizens of the city.

Tris and Christina shared a glance. Christina looked amused though she had gotten Dauntless in her aptitude tests rather then her home faction.

"What about-"

Harmony was cut off by a cold sounding voice. She and Naia turn in their seats to see Eric, a Dauntless leader.

"Talking about our old factions are we?" Eric asked with a cold sneer. His blue gray eyes were like glaciers.

"No sir. We were actually talking about our test results." Harmony spoke up. The young leader unnerved her. He could kick her out of Dauntless right now if he wanted to. She stood her ground however and didn't let her fear show.

Everyone at the table now had eyes on Eric and Harmony. Tris tensed watching Eric as did Christina. Christina never forgot how Eric had made her hang over the chasm as an initiate. Naia James and Marissa let their eyes flicker between their friend and the youngest leader of their faction.

"Okay." Was all Eric said before walking away to join Max on the balcony.

Harmony blinked once, twice, then relaxed. She shared a look with her friends as Max called out from the balcony. "Initiates, stand."

The years new initiates stood. All eyes were on the dark skinned leader.

"You have chosen to join the warrior faction. Here at Dauntless we are tasked with the defense of this city and its inhabitants. We believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another. Respect that. Do us proud."

Applause rang out for the new initiates by the members of Dauntless. One by one each initiate was lifted into the air to crowd surf throughout the dining hall. Later that night the initiates turned in for an early morning.

That first night was something I'll remember for the rest of my life. I never expected what was to come during training that first day.
