It was two days until Harmony came too after Carl had shot her. When she opened her eyes she saw Naia and the twins sitting by her side. Casting her gaze around the room she didn't see a doctor or their trainers.

Three pairs of eyes shoot to Harmony when she pushes herself into a sitting position. They didn't miss the wince either.

"Take it easy." Marissa murmured. Harmony looked at her.

"What happened after I got shot?" Harmony asked. She didnt outwardly show it but she was scared she'd get kicked out of Dauntless.

"It was Six who brought you here." Naia started. Harmony paid attention needing to know. "Four got into Carls face shouting that they couldnt have someone that idiotic handling a gun. Eric agreed and threw him out of Dauntless."

Harmony mulled over the information in her head. She then asked another question. "And what of my ranking?"

This time it was James who answered. "Your ranking lowered but since its only been two days I think you can improve it."

Harmony went quiet after that. A nurse soon came over. Harmony noted she looked around her age.

"Hey its good to see you awake. I'm Marlene. I'm the doctor who treated your injury."

"I thought only Erudite could become doctors..?"

Marlene laughed at that. She decided she liked this initiate. "Well we can't go running to Erudite for every injury now can we?"

"I guess not." Harmony murmured softly turning her eyes to her hands.

Marlene checked over the bandages and the state of Harmony's gunshot wound. Soon her leg was neatly rewrapped in bandages. "You can go. Just be careful with that leg, first jumper."

Harmony stared at Marlene as the Dauntless member walked away. She wasnt yet aware that being first jumper was always big news in Dauntless. The dark haired girl got up carefully testing her weight.

Naia James and Marissa left with Harmony. Harmony, unable to put weight on her injured leg walked with them with a limp. They come across Tris who is walking with Tori.

"Hey Harmony. How's the leg?" Six asked. Her blonde hair was down instead of the usual ponytail.

"Manageable. Marlene cleared me to leave the infirmary."

Tris nodded. "Good. Be ready tomorrow. Just because you got hurt doesnt mean you'll get special treatment, got it?"

Harmony nods wordlessly. Tris walks past them with Tori. Harmony and her friends go back to the transfer dorms. As soon as Harmonys head hit the pillow she was asleep.

She woke up really early the next morning. Rubbing her eyes Harmony glanced around. No one was awake.

Might as well shower since no one's awake. Harmony thought as she carefully stood up. She quietly gathered fresh clothes and limped over to the shower area.

Stripping out of her clothes Harmony washed all the sweat and dirt out of her long dark hair. Once shed finished that she quickly washed her body and shut off the water. She dried off and got dressed.

Getting out her brush she brushed through her wet hair getting rid of the tangles. Once she finished she french braided her hair to the base of her skull letting the rest of her hair flow loose in a ponytail.

Putting on her shoes Harmony silently left the transfer dorms and went to get some food.

"I see I was right about you." A voice spoke from behind as Harmony got her food. Turning she saw Zeke.

"What?" Harmony asked confused. She immediately recognized Zeke as the Dauntless member who'd given her the aptitude test.

"I remember you from your aptitude test and how happy you were with the result. I thought I'd see you walking these halls and I was right." Zeke explained.

"Oh.." Harmony really didn't know what to say to that.

"And first jumper too. You got guts, Amity."

Harmony smirked at that. "I'm no longer an Amity but I'll gladly take that compliment."

Zeke laughed. "I hope you make it through your initiation. See ya Amity."

Harmony shook her head with amusement as Zeke walked away heading towards Tris and Four. She went and sat at her usual table.

Harmony's POV

I breathed out as I wailed on the punching bags. So focused on my task I failed to realize that I wasn't alone. I had missed two days I had to catch up. I had to make it into Dauntless.

"Amity!" A shout came from the doors startling me. Pain shot through my injured leg as I overbalanced and fell. Footsteps echoed as the person approached me.

"What are you doing here? You're early." I recognized that voice. Eric. Oh great.

"I've missed two days." I reply as I stood up, wincing as I put too much weight on my leg. "I can't fall behind."

I meet Eric's eyes. He's studying me. His gray blue eyes were as cold as they always were.

"Okay." At his acceptance Harmony looked confused so Eric elaborated. "I can appreciate someone working their ass off. Stay away from the guns. None of the initiates are allowed to use them without supervision."

Harmony nods and he walks away but remains in the room. She spots Tris and Four enter the room as she returns to punching the bag in front of her making sure to throw in a few strikes with her elbows.

By the time the other initiates enter the room Harmony was taking a water break. Four takes command right away.

"Everyone except Harmony run laps."

Once again Harmony is left confused. While she didn't want to run anyway because of her injured leg she wanted to earn her spot.

"Marlene said you're not allowed to run until further notice. You'll be doing some strengthening exercises with Six." Four explained.

Harmony nods and limped over to Tris. The two spent their time doing strength exercises. By the time she's allowed to stop her arms feel like they'll fall off.

After a lunch break everyone's back up on the roof for gun training. Harmony does horrible at it but vows to get better and keeps at it. She then sees Tris come over.

"You're not going to hit the target like that." The blonde says crossing her arms. Harmony stops shooting and looks at her.

"How do I change that?" Harmony asked.

Tris changed Harmony's grip on the gun and changed her stance that will get the desired results while also accommodating her leg. "Try now."

Harmony took a deep breath and fired the gun. The bullet clipped the target. Tris moved on to other initiates.

By the end of training Harmony still hadn't hit the bullseye but she was still improving. She smiled as she went off with her friends to have dinner.
