DM Margo Alone Chapter 1

It was the 21st December and the Gru family was going away to Marseille in France for Christmas. Everyone had a lot of packing to do that night since they were getting an early morning flight the next day. Kyle, Blondie and Lucky had gone to stay at the kennels while the family was away. Since there was no time to cook dinner as well do all the packing, Gru had ordered a take away from Pizza Heaven for them all.

Upstairs, the girls were all sorting out their bits for the vacation while they waited for their stuffed crust pizzas. Edith went to glance out of one of the windows. ''Oh Margo, Agnes, check this out! It's Old Man Malvern''. The other two girls joined her at the window and they all looked out. There was an old man carrying a snow shovel and a trash can.

''Who's he?'' Agnes asked. ''You ever heard of South Bend Shovel Slayer?'' Edith asked?''. ''No'' said Agnes. ''That's him all right'' said Edith darkly, ''Back in the 1950's, he murdered his whole family and the half the people on the block with his snow shovel. Been hiding out in this neighbourhood ever since''.

''If he's a shovel slayer, then how come the cops don't arrest him?'' Agnes wanted to know. ''Not enough evidence to convict'' Edith sighed, ''They never found any the bodies, but everyone round here knows he did it. ''Now it'll just be a matter of time before he does it again''.

''What's he doing now?'' Agnes asked. ''He walks up and down the streets every night, salting the sidewalks'' replied Edith. ''Maybe he's only trying to be nice and help people?'' Agnes said. ''No way'' said Edith, ''Do you see that garbage can full of salt? That's where he keeps all his victims. The salt turns the bodies into mummies''. Agnes didn't know what to say! Margo bit her tongue and tried to hide her fears. ''Great, thanks for that image, Edith'' she muttered. Before any of the girls could say anything else, they heard their dad call ''Girls! The Pizzas are here! Please wash your hands and come downstairs for dinner!''.

''YAAAAAAAY!'' cheered the girls and went to the bathroom to wash their hands before heading downstairs. Downstairs, Gru was paying the Pizza Heaven delivery guy, ''That's $102.50 sir'' said the delivery guy. As they ate their pizza and drank their Pepsi Cola, Agnes asked, ''Mom, Dad what time do we have to go to bed?''.

''Early'' replied Gru through a mouthful of pizza, ''We're leaving the house tomorrow at 9:00am on the dot''. Later on as the girls got ready to go to bed early for the flight next morning, Agnes was so tired she got into Edith's bed by mistake. With a yawn, she slumped down. ''Mom!'' Edith protested, ''Agnes is asleep on my bed and she won't wake up!''.

Lucy gently scooped up the sleeping Agnes and placed her youngest daughter into her own bed and turned to Edith, ''She didn't do it on purpose Edith. She was just too sleepy to notice she'd got into the wrong bed''. Once the girls were settled in bed, Lucy told them all a bedtime story about her own parents who'd been killed by a villain which had forced her to join the AVL where she's first meet Gru.

A tear strolled down Lucy's cheek. "Mom," Margo whispered softly. "Are you crying?". Lucy sniffed, ''Margo, my parents are dead, they were killed by a villain which is how I came to work for the AVL''. She sobbed softly. Then Lucy grabbed a tissue and blew her nose and pulled herself together to get on with the story. Afterwards, Lucy looked sad again. ''My parents were two wonderful people, I wish they could have meet you girls''.

Then she paused, ''Wait a minute, girls, I wanna show you something'' she said heading out of the room. The girls wondered what their mom wanted to show them. Lucy came back holding a large photograph album. "What's that?" Edith asked. ''It's my book of memories of the times I spent with my parents when I was the ages of each of you girls'' Lucy replied.

Lucy sat down on the floor, leaning against the beds. Margo and Edith both climbed down and sat closer to Lucy. Agnes is still asleep in her bed. Margo and Edith thought their mom looked very pretty and cute at their ages. "Aww, look at me, girls," Lucy swooned happily. "That's me as a baby!". They all laughed softly.

''There's one of my mom holding me here'' said Lucy, ''And here's one of me having a bath in the sink''. Then Edith laughed. "I can see your cute buttocks". Lucy blushed with embarrassment. ''Yes'' she chuckled awkwardly, remembering the time she had lost her bikini bottoms in the lake when they went camping once, ''I'm never wearing a bikini ever again!'' she added, "No one wants to see my butt". ''You mean you don't want anyone to see your butt?'' Edith asked. ''Yes'' Lucy admitted. She showed more pictures of herself as a baby. "Mom, you look so cute," Margo said. ''Yes'' Lucy said, then she realized time was getting on. She turned the page showed the pictures of herself as a little girl about Edith's age.

Lucy gasped excitedly, ''And look at this! That's me as a little girl''. ''You look so adorable Mom'' Margo smiled. Then Lucy showed the girls some photos of her during her teenage years and on into adulthood. ''Here I am at my high school when I was a teenager'' Lucy smiled. ''Woah! Mom, you're very tall'' said Edith as they looked at the photos of Lucy as a young adult.

''Yes'' said Lucy, ''I was the tallest girl in the class at school and I even grew taller than both my parents!''. Lucy turned to the last page. It was fully-coloured. ''Here I am at the AVL with my parents'' she said. ''Mom, you're so tall'' said Margo.

Lucy grinned, ''I stopped growing years ago Margo'' she said, ''Now we'd all better be gettin to bed, we've got an early start tomorrow. Good night girls. I'll see you bright and early in the morning''. "Yes, Mom," Edith and Margo both agreed. Agnes was still asleep.
