"Não! Por favor! Não o faça! O que você tá fazendo!?"

For the third time that week, I shot up with a pool of sweat under me. I had already given up on trying to remove the many stains on the sheets, knowing that it would just happen in a day or 2 again. Throughout the whole afternoon, I had been praying nonstop to the almighty Chaos that this would NOT happen, to postpone it until tomorrow night. This happening during a sleepover, with all my friends around was a recipe of disaster for my already extremely near non-existent social life. Talk about AMAZING luck

A few hurried pants later, I brushed a few stray strands of my pink hair behind my ears before turning my head around to look for her bedside lamp. After I turned the light on, I gently rubbed my green eyes and leaned back against the bed frame, starting a new attempt to fall back asleep.

"You okay there Ames?" my eyes suddenly jolted back open at the sound of a soft, whispering male voice calling out my nickname.

"Oh hey there Maurice…"

He sat down on the bed next to me and wrapped a comforting arm around me in an attempt to calm me back down. "You seemed distressed so-"

"Seriously, I'm fine!" I cut him off, not wanting to complicate things further. It was already bad enough that I acted this way in front of all my friends, although they were probably all asleep when I had my mini panic attack. Even worse, he had to be the one I knew for sure saw and heard what happened.

"Alright Amelia. If you're alright then I'll be going…" the blue hedgehog started to stand up.

"Could you stay here with me," I cooed. "Please?"

Replying with nothing but a smile, Sonic sat back down on the bed next to me. I brought my legs up and hugged them into my chest and leaned against the bed frame, trying to fall back asleep once more, but the dream PLUS the fact that I just embarrassed myself in front of Sonic of all people. Yep, I would totally be able to fall asleep easily.

"So tell me Amy, who hurt you?" he asked completely out of the blue, no pun intended.

I felt my heart drop and for some reason, I had completely forgotten that Sonic could also understand Portuguese. "Ninguém."

"Mm." He leaned back to lay down on the mattress and turned back towards me. "If you're scared… we can go somewhere else to talk you know."

"De nada. I'll just try and go back to sleep. You should as well," I already felt bad that I had woken him up. "Good night Sonic…"

"Boa noite Ames."

I'll try and post the next chapter by next week and at the latest, Christmas but I've been super busy with school and some other personal projects. -efngpo
