DM Margo Alone Chapter 3

The next day, Margo decided to have some fun in the snow by going sledging in the local park. She put on her winter clothes and suited up warm. She took the sledge to the top of the biggest hill there was in the park. Then Margo got on the sledge and shifted about on her buttocks to get it going.

"WOOOOAAAAAAHHH!" Margo yelled as she zoomed down the steep hill quite fast. At the bottom, she crashed right into a big bush all covered with snow bringing her safely to a stop, thought the snow that covered the bush fell off right on top of her. 'Well that was a good soft crash landing'' said Margo getting up and brushing the snow off her clothes.

She played in the park for long time, going sledging and laying on her back in the snow making snow angels. When she got home, she even made a snowman outside. She stuck a carrot for the nose and put a hat and scarf on it. Lastly, she stuck some pieces of coal to use a mouth and buttons. Margo got her phone and took a selfie of herself with the snowman.

That night Margo found out the scary side to being home alone and all by herself. She could hear voices talking outside the house and they sounded so familiar! ''Remember Gru's eldest daughter dated my son?'' Margo heard one of voices say, ''She lives here!''. ''Well if the girl's here, then her dad's gotta be too, right?'' another voice said, ''No, she's home alone'' replied the former voice.

"Oh, God. I know that voice", Margo muttered to herself quietly, Just then she heard another voice, ''Yikes'' she gulped, ''It's El Macho and Balthazar Bratt and they want to break in and rob the house!''. Margo hadn't forgotten El Macho's son Antonio who had cheated on her for another girl at the Cinco de Mayo party. "I hate boys!" Margo said quietly to herself in case El Macho and Bratt heard her , remembering how depressed she'd felt.

Margo was so scared she ran upstairs and hid under Gru and Lucy's bed, but not without turning on each light on her way up. The sight of the lights being turned on scared El Macho and Bratt and they turned and fled, thinking that Margo wasn't alone after all.

After hiding for a while, Margo decided she was being silly and childish, ''Only a little child would be hiding'' she said to herself, ''I'm the grown up lady of this house and I gotta act like one!''. She got out from under the bed and tried to be brave by going back to window.

But when Margo pecked out from behind the curtain, she could see the scary image of Old Man Malvern outside. Margo thought she saw him looking her in the eye which made her feel scared again. She let out a loud whimper and ran away from the window.

As Margo got into bed that night, she began to think that being home alone wasn't so great after all, it was rather scary with Old Man Malvern and the return of El Macho and Balthazar Bratt who were planning to rob her house with her being all alone. ''Mom, Dad. I really miss you guys'' Margo whispered, ''I wish you and the others would come back''.

At that moment Margo's family had arrived and landed at the airport in Marseille, having collected their baggage, Lucy told Gru to try and book a return flight home while she called the police and asked them to go check on Margo. But when Gru tried to book, the lady at the desk told him that all the flights were fully booked. ''I'm sorry, but there's no way I can do that'' she said.

Lucy came up, ''They're sending a policeman to the house to check on Margo'' she said. ''Well dat's a relief'' said Gru sarcastically, ''Cos everything here's all booked for the next few days. There's nothing available''. "AAAAAARRRGGGHHHHH!" Lucy screamed, then she calmed down and asked ''Please, what about a private plane?''. ''No I'm sorry. We don't do those'' replied the lady.

''The only thing they have is a booking for all of us on Friday morning'' said Gru. ''Friday morning? That's two days away!'' said Lucy. ''Look honey'' said Gru gently, ''The other two girls are exhausted, you're exhausted, now I say we go over to the apartment and dat way we can call the police again and they can get back to us''.

''Gru. Margo is home all by herself'' Lucy said, ''I'm not leaving here unless it's on an airplane!''. ''Madam, we are doing everything we can'' said the lady, ''Now if you want to stay at the airport, maybe we can get you on standby? It is possible a seat will open up''. ''Is that ok with you honey?'' Gru asked. ''Yes!'' Lucy replied.

So it was all settled, Lucy stayed behind at the airport while Gru, Dru, Edith, Agnes and all the minions went ahead with the vacation. Lucy hugged Gru, Dru, Edith and Agnes and bid them all farewell. ''Goodbye everyone, take care now'' she called cheerfully. The next day back at Gru's house after having a shower, Margo was in the bathroom trying on her parent's grooming products trying to be grown up. She picked a bottle and read the label ''Aftershave'' she read. Margo had never heard of aftershave and wondered if it was something to make people smell nice like perfume.

Margo poured out some of the lotion onto her hands. Then she rubbed it on her checks. That was not a good idea cos it stung like mad on her skin! "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Margo screamed. Her pained screaming echoed throughout the neighbourhood scaring all the birds away. Even Fred heard the scream.

Later on, Margo went to a pharmacy store to buy a new toothbrush. As she was paying for it, she saw Old Man Malvern coming into the store. Margo didn't want him to see her, so she slammed the money she owed on the counter and ran out of the store as quickly as she could.

Margo headed for home, on her way she was so busy looking back to make sure Old Man Malvern wasn't coming after her, she was almost run over by a van pulling out of Fred's driveway! ''EEEK!'' she shrieked. Then Margo saw in the van sat El Macho and Balthazar Bratt arguing and she recognised the former enemies of her dad quite clearly.

It had been them who she'd heard outside the window the other night. Quickly before they could spot her, Margo ran into her own house and shut the door.
