1 Week Later

"Naruto!"

"Hang in there! Don't give up!

"You're strong! You'll pull through!"

"Hang in there, Naru-"

Naruto had awoken from his dream better yet another nightmare drenched in sweat. His alarmed blared loudly as he reached over his bed to turn it off. Over the last week Naruto had been a recluse compared to his older self. His sleeping schedule had been messed up to his convenience. He would sleep all day and during the mid of the night, would sneak over to a training ground and practice his chakra control. If there was 1 thing the ninja would be sure to work on was expanding his arsenal of justus. Sure Rasengan and Shadow clones had worked for him before but it also proved to be a detriment as well.

The young boy pushed himself out of bed and made his way to his closet. No longer was it full of orange jumpsuits and pants, it was now full or simpler clothing. White Tees, black jacket with red fabric on the inside, black pants and better pairs of his traditional shoes.

Now you may be asking how on earth did this boy get all this clothing without getting chased out of shops or paying exurbanite prices. A simple answer which had never crossed Naruto's mind before. A simple henge. One simple henge of a semi famous Uchiha and all the stores opened up to him, and some even offered discounts to the last loyal Uchiha hoping to get his business once again. Something so simple yet so genius at the same time.

Naruto's quickly changed as he made his way to the kitchen. No longer were his cabinets filled with just ramen. He had fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, vegetables. A whole array of food he'd never dream of having as a kid before.

Naruto settled on a simple dish; eggs, bacon and toast with some orange juice. After finishing his quick breakfast Naruto left his apartment and made way for the academy. Today was the day every one of the graduating class would get paired up into their teams and hopefully things would go different this time. Hopefully.

Naruto arrived to the Academy super early compared to his other fellow graduates. He made his way to his class before plopping down in his seat and sighing. He laid his head down and began to meditate. He concentrated only on his breath as he began to relax. Naruto good understand why Shikamaru had enjoyed this so much. Being lazy was an absolute blast. Slowly students began to file into the class and Naruto's had done his best to ignore the growing noise until he felt a hang push against his shoulder.

"Hey." Naruto looked up to see a boy with dark hair with hair tied up giving him a lazily look. "What are you doing here Naruto? This is for students that actually graduated."

"Oh yeah." Naruto pulled out his forehead protector and tied it around his head. "See the headband Shikamaru? Graduated just like you."

Shikamaru shook his head before rubbing rubbing the back of his neck. "Always the troublesome aren't you Naruto? Anyways what with the change of clothes? Orange aint your color anymore? Shikamaru asked.

"Just needed a change of pace." Naruto responded. Shikamaru made his way to his seat leaving the Uzumaki to his own devices.

"Ha! Take that Ino, I got here first pig!"

Naruto rolled his eyes and turned his head towards the sound of the annoyance. He saw 2 out of breath girls breathing heavily. Naruto took a deep look at Sakura and sighed. Something about being reincarnated caused him to look at things differently. He just couldn't see what he saw when he was madly in love with the girl, sure she was attractive but that spark was that held his eye was no longer there. He took a look at Ino and there was something there. She definitely was more attractive than her pink headed friended and she would definitely blossom when she matured. Naruto shook his head.

The pair made their way over and Sakura had a sweet face on her, or her attempt at one. Naruto looked at her and she approached her and the thought he would be nice. "Sup?" Naruto nodded. "Move Naruto!" Sakura pushed him out the way as she sat next to him so she can oogle at Sasuke.

"I will never understand woman" Naruto said shaking his head. He looked at Ino as she passed next to him "Hey" he muttered out. "Oh" she responded back. "Hi Naruto." She smiled and went to sit at her seat. He looked over at Sasuke and wondered how he'd stayed sane as all the girls ooogled at him. That stone face of his was something he would kill for.

He stretched out his arms before receiving another punch to the shoulder. "Yo Naruto, what are you doing here?" He looked to see a boy with messy hair, red marks on his cheeks, rather feral features and little puppy on top of his head. "Oh, hey Kiba. Graduated just like you." He said pointing at his forehead protector. "Oh you finally decided to study huh? Won't matter what you do though, me and Akamaru will just blow right past you." He said confidently. A yap from the young pup affirmed what his partner said.

"Whatever you say Kiba, at the end of the day you can tell your kids that you were in the class with the future Hokage." he laughed out.

"Sure buddy, whatever the silly dreams you have in your head to keep you going." Kiba responded.

"I for one thing if Naruto put all his effort into it could realize his dream." Everyone looked forward to where the voice spoke from and realizing it came from Iruka-sensei.

"You know they usually don't let people with the worst grades in class become Hokage" a random student yelled at getting a laugh from the class.

Iruka shook his head. "Not everything is about grades kids. The sooner you learn that the better it will get you ready for the real world. Now everyone in their seats." The class fell silent at Iruka's words and all began to sit in their assigned seats.

"Now first thing first, You all are now officially shinobi of Konoha. You all are expected to carry out your missions to the best of your ability for your village and your fellow ninja. But on a personal note, I want to say how proud of you I am of you all and I wish you all the most luck in your futures." Iruka proudly saying not letting his eyes go away from Naruto's. He cleared his throat "Now I'm going to begin the announcement of your squads for your duration as genin."

Everyone seemed to stiffen and sit up at attention besided Naruto. As long as it was Team 7 then he didn't care. Iruka began to list out name and their according sensei's

"Team 7 members are Sasuke Uchiha." Every girl was practically raised out of their seats hoping to be the lucky one. "Chouji Akimichi, and Sakura Haruno. Your Jounin Sensei will be Kakashi Hatake." Sakura cheered before looking behind heard and exclaiming "Take that Ino-pig! True love never fails!"

Ino pressed her hand into her face in defeat while Sakura continued in her annoying celebration. After Team 7 was called Naruto decided to pay attention as he would finally have new comrades, a new beginning.

"Team 8 member are Hinata Hyugga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shino Aburame. Sensei is Kurenai Yuhi." All 3 members nodded in acknowledgement. "Team 9 is still under review so we will move past them and onto 10. 10's members are Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Naruto Uzumaki. Sensei is Asuma Sarutobi." To say Naruto was surprised they would break up the Ino-Shika-Cho trio would be an understatement. He looked at his other teamaters. Shikamaru nodded back but Ino slammed her face into the desk.

"Really? I get the laziest one out of all of us and the deadlast?" She whined to herself. Naruto rolled his eyes before retorting. "Don't worry I got some trick up my sleeves." Iruka cleared his troat. "Now that's all for now. Your sensei will be picking you up after lunch. Take this time to get to know your fellow team members. Once again Good luck to all of you." Iruka nodded before leaving the class.

Everyone began to huddle into their groups before leaving. Ino grabbed both Naruto and Shikamaru by the ears. "Alright now both of you boys come with me." They slowly made their way being dragged to the cafeteria before Shikamru gave chouji a look before muttering "Troublesome" as he shook his head.

"What?" Naruto and Ino responded.

"Look at Chouji."

Both of the other members looked towards Team 7 as they were leaving the room. Sauske looked his best as he was trying to ignore the pink headed girl who was draped around his arms. Chouji on the other hand was walking behind him with his head down.

"Do you really think that lunch is gonna go over with them well? Shikamaru beckoned the young Akimichi over. "You guys don't care if he eats with us right? We've always ate lunch together ever since we were kids." Ino shook her head and Naruto responded. "Na he can hang."

The boy sat down next to Shikamaru before breaking out a bag of his favorite chips as he began to munch on them quietly. A quiet overcame all of them. Ino fumed silently at her appointed team, Shikamaru laid back in his chair with both arms behind his back and eyes closed. Naruto deciding to break the ice spoke. "So, we're teammates now." He said with a laugh and a grin. Naruto laughed even louder as Ino gave him a death glare. "What I promise I won't let anyone touch a hair on your pretty little hair." Naruto said sarcastically. Ino turned beat red for a second before bawling her hand into a fist. "Are you trying to flirt with you little shit?"

Naruto spat out his water before waving his hands infront of his face. "What? Uh, no?" He muttered out confusingly. "So, you don't think I'm pretty then?" She responded with a pouting face. Naruto confused gave up and slammed his face into the table. Ino laughed in response "Oh I'm going to like messing with you."

Ino continued to laugh before clearing her throat and beginning to talk in a serious tone. "Now, I want to make something clear." Naruto and Shikamaru both turned to attention. "We need to absolutely destroy every other team. I want to blow Forehead's team completely out of the water. I want to wipe that smirk off her face." she said confidently.

"Alright." Naruto responded in agreement. Shikamaru only acknowledged her claim with a slight nod. "If you want to be taken seriously then we need to train as a team." Naruto spoke. "We need to learn each other's weaknesses, strengths. We need to rely on each other confidently." Ino and shikamaru were taken aback with naruto's words. "Since when did the deadlast open up a book and become smart." Ino said, "I'm full of surprised Blondie once you get to know me." Ino raised an eyebrow at his remark. Since when did Naruto get so confident, she wondered. He never would've made a remark like that a week ago she wondered. Change of attitude, clothes and whole demeanor was out of left field.

"What changed in you Naruto? Why the change in attitude, clothes and everything?" Ino asked dying to get an answer. "Just had something of an epiphany." He responded. "So, we're a team, right? Team 10?"

Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "Unfortunately, I know how troublesome this is going to be but yes. Team 10." The Nara replied.

Naruto looked at his blonde partner awaiting her response. Ino sighed before speaking "As much as I'd rather be on Sauske's team, sure, Team 10." Naruto grinned as the bell rang signaling the end of lunch. "C'mon guys. Let's start the rest of our lives."\

AN: So a 2k work chapter is the least i could do for now posting over the weekend. Hopefully i have one even longer tomorrow. We got anyyhwere from 12 to 20 inches of snow coming tomorrw so that'll be fun. I seriously hope yall are enjoying the story. Thinking of how characters would interact is a tough one but we got lots of more coming. This is only a star. 3 -Kuco
