Comment: Another chapter, this time for The Slutty Pumpkin Returns! :D Those two were all over each other at the Halloween party, and since they hook up the following episode, I thought there must have been some tension after the party! She takes off the costume in her room, thinking about how Barney hasn't left her side all night long. Smiling smugly, she leaves for the bathroom and nearly bumps into him. He's taken off the boxing gloves, but is still – deliciously – shirtless.
"I thought you'd left already," she grins at him. Barney smirks back, pointing at her black front teeth.
"Better get them cleaned," Robin laughs, but when she tries to brush past him, he moves into her personal space. He places his hands low on her hips and pushes her back against the doorframe. When he speaks, his voice is thick as honey.
"I could help you clean them," he murmurs, and it's silly and doesn't even make sense, but she feels her stomach drop pleasantly anyway.
He leans into her neck and she can feel his lips on her skin, and her stomach drops again when she thinks of Nora. When she thinks of Kevin.
"Stop," she tells him, "Barney. We can't."
He sighs and removes himself from her with the same reluctance she's feeling inside.
He doesn't look at her when he says good night and leaves the apartment.
His boxing gloves stay on the coffee table.
