Comment: Thank you for your comments, favourites and follows! It really means the world to me. Special thanks to SnowboundMermaid who has been reviewing like a champ for ages! You're awesome :) I'd love to know what you think of this next one. It's for the beginning of "The Wedding Bride", the first time we see Robin hang out at MacLaren's after staying away for a while. After rewatching this scene, it struck me how easily they fell back into their usual banter, and I wrote this. Hope you like it! :)
Falling back into routines is what he does best.
When she sits next to him at the bar again it's as if she's never stayed away.
She knows the dynamics, like a dance practiced a thousand times. She lifts her glass to her lips as he sets his back down on the table; she knows what he's gonna say before he does. They tease Marshall and she jumps on the bandwagon, and he feels the familiar rush in his veins.
He says something a little too lewd and he marvels at her perfect(ly familiar) eye-roll.
He buys her another scotch.
