Robin wakes up to the sounds of the piano in the living room. She rolls her eyes as she sees him, his fingers sliding over the ivory skilfully, and she can't help but say, "Keep it down, kiss-ass."
The cheerful music turns into the "Murder Theme" from Psycho, and Robin covers her ears at the dissonant sounds.
"Morning, sunshine," he greets her with a charming smile.
"Bite me," she tells him, heading for the kitchen.
He gets up then, ready to retort something suggestive, but she cuts him off. "Why do you wanna make me look like an ass in front of Ted's parents?"
"I'm not –"
"Yes, you are. Yeah, you don't like Ted and me together. Fine. But it's none of your fucking business. So what gives?"
He doesn't say anything, taken aback.
"You know, sometimes it's hard to tell if you actually care about any of us at all or if you just want to fuck us over –"
"You know why I don't want you to be together?" he suddenly snaps. "Because I still want you to be around in ten years."
She stares at him, dumbfounded. "See you at brunch," he says, leaving her speechless.
