Comment: Again, thank you for all of you who are still reading this. This one is inspired by the first few lines of the One Direction song "End of the Day". I hope you like, and if you do, let me know. :)

Barney's eyes are glued to the foreign hand low on Robin's back.

There's not a single thing he doesn't regret about tonight: how the rooftop party is slowly coming to an end; that he invited her here, thinking that maybe the skyline would cast a spell on her in his favour; the way her little black dress clings to her in all the right places; the fact that the punk in his cheap dress shirt and ill-fitting vest is exactly her type with the scruff on his chin and the muscles in his arm that's wound around her waist.

His heart skips when she catches his eye. He turns around to face the moon, taking a sip from his drink.

She pinches his hip playfully. "I'm gonna leave, okay? Don't wait up on me," she says slyly.

Don't, he wants to scream. Come home with me instead. I want you.

"No glove, no love," he tells her instead, and the wink she gives him is like a knife to his heart.

Barney's eyes are glued to the foreign hand low on Robin's back as she leaves.

"I love you," he says into the wind, wishing he could regret that, too.
