Comment: HELLO GUYS! I'm back with an addition to "Lobster Crawl." While I loved the episode, it always bothered me that Robin was so completely clueless about Barney playing her. I thought that she must at least know he was ignoring her on purpose. So, this is my headcanon of what happened. ENJOY :')

She sees the glint in his eye.

It's definitely there when his pupils glide over her bare legs and the extensions she's carefully braided into her hair.

When he pushes her in front of him as a shield, she yells after him. She can't believe that he's not engaging with any of her acts, and if her Lara Croft outfit isn't breaking him, she isn't sure there's anything that can.

After consulting with Lily, she goes down to the pub where he's – predictably – seated at the bar.

He almost smiles at the determination on her face as she approaches.

Robin is calm. Yelling isn't gonna get her anywhere; she has to haul out the big guns if she wants to get to him.

"I know what you're doing," she says just above a whisper. "You're playing me, and I guess I deserve it. But just know this."

Her lips are so close to his ear it makes him shiver.

"I'm not going down without a fight. You'll be begging me for one last go. I'll bring you to your knees."

She's taken aback when he smirks at her, the glint back in his eye.

"Careful what you wish for, sweetheart."

Obviously, Barney's gonna be on his knees, 'cause he'll be proposing ;) What do you think? I feel this gives Robin a bit more agency throughout "The Robin", and makes her quest to get Barney laid one last time a little less desperate, because unlike on the show, he does indicate that there's a chance they might be hooking up again. I dunno. I still have a lot of thoughts on this. I hope you still enjoy hearing them xx
