Chapter 4
Tipping Points
ONDERON
Rebel Hideout, Iziz
"Are you insane!" Ahsoka snapped at the rebels after hearing their plan to assassinate Leo tomorrow. The ring leaders all had different looks on their faces, Lux looked surprised, Saw looked angry as usual and Steela was calm waiting for more. The rest of the rebels looked at one another then to their leaders before Ahsoka continued. "This will destroy everything you've worked for." She added.
"See I told you she wouldn't support it." Saw said to his sister.
Steela took a step forward "We've tried everything else to rally the people, but Primus has been a step ahead of us every time now he won't be able to take that next step." Steela explained.
"Do this and you'll be exactly what the Separatists say you are." Ahsoka told them looking at Lux "Lux, you're behind this even after your own mother was Assassinated?"
The entire room shifted in tension "How dare you." Steela almost snapped "Excuse me?"
"Steela." Lux said trying to defend himself but Steela was already engaged "Ahsoka, we appreciate everything you've done for us, everything the Jedi have done but this is our planet, our fight and we'll fight it as we see fit." Steela said showing her resolve was adamant to the plan "We will kill Primus and we will free our people for Onderon!" She said loudly rallying her men who all cheered with her showing they were ready to follow her.
Ahsoka's face and heart fell seeing this was the path they were taking, seeing her words were falling on deaf ears she chose to leave the room for the hallway where she had contacted he'd Masters from Coruscant. She put down the holodevice and sat down on a crate rubbing her eyes the idea of the rebels killing Leo, if they actually succeeded that mean she'd be complacent in it. Not just the direct killing of someone, assassination was against the Jedi way, but worse it was Leo. She still remembered the anger she'd felt when she was on the slave platform on Kadavo, she screamed how she hated Leo, how she'd hunt him down for what he did to her people. Were rebels were justified in killing him for their people or was she afraid to face harsh realities. Why couldn't things be like they use to be, Anakin and Obi-Wan with her and Leo as padawans, saving the day one planet to the next. The evenings where the two watched the sun rise and fall from the Temple walls, the countless times they joked and laughed when the other was in on a medical bed. How they had sat together after the Senate Crisis to save Padme from Bane. The vacation on Telerath, fighting against the sith on Serenno, reuniting on Coruscant after so many years apart and then-
"I sense fear in you, Ahsoka." Obi-Wan said.
She opened her eyes to see her masters in small holographic images on the crate both looking at her.
"The rebels are splintering, Saw tried to rescue the king and the Separatists humiliated them by letting them go the King Has been shipped off world and..." she said before trailing off "Yes?" Anakin asked.
"They've decided to attempt to assassinate the Governor." Ahsoka said, "Hmm this is troubling, assassination isn't the Jedi way." Obi-wan said looking to Anakin "But it's not for us to decide." He added.
"Indeed, we cannot control their fate." the Master said.
"It's just, this doesn't feel like the right way for them to succeed, won't killing Leo only make them terrorists like they say, even if they succeed without the King being here." the padawan said.
"Do not underestimate the king's power he represents hope and he's critical to their success." he replied.
Ahsoka listened before she replied "I feel responsible for them." she said.
"I know you do, Snips, but remember, purpose must come before feelings." Anakin said.
"I know, Master." she replied.
"Step in only if you must, but remember, if this experiment is to become an effective strategy, they must learn to survive on their own." Obi-Wan told them. "Yes, Master Kenobi. We understand." she replied before cutting the transmission.
She took the pad off the crate and then got up "You don't have faith that we'll succeed?" Ahsoka looked behind her to see Lux standing behind him leaning on the wall hands behind his back.
"Lux I-" "Stop it, please don't talk to me like I'm Saw or Steela, Ahsoka, please tell me what you think?" Lux asked her.
Ahsoka shook her head "I don't know what I think right now." She said arms crossed "Do you think we can do it, do you think Steela's plan will work?" Lux pressed her further.
The padawan didn't answer at first "... No." Ahsoka started to leave the hallway but Lux followed her grabbing her arm.
"Why not, you've shown support for every plan and attack since then, why now?" Lux asked her.
She tore her arm away "Because you don't know him like I do, you don't know what Leo is capable of?"
"Then tell us." Lux wasn't alone anymore, Steela had walked into the hallway when she noticed Lux's absence "Steela I-" "It's okay Lux, you were right to press her if the Jedi think this plan is foolish we should hear them out?" Steela asked trying to be a good leader.
"So tell us about him, about your Leo?" Steela asked Ahsoka, she could feel there was a hint of animosity in Steela's words "Primus…" Ahsoka said so they wouldn't use Leo again "Is trained in the Jedi arts, he was the first padawan to slay Sith since his own Master on Naboo."
"Who was his Master?" Lux asked "Obi-Wan." Ahsoka told him "So you Jedi knew who he was one of you and you didn't tell us?" Steela asked her accusingly "He's-not one-of-us…. not anymore." Ahsoka said.
She took out her own lightsaber "He's a Sith now, Count Dooku's knew apprentice and the Count isn't just cunning he's beyond powerful, he's groomed Primus to be his apprentice for years using sith magic and artifacts to lure Primus to the dark side and it worked, he's a Sith and if you kill him you may rally the people but if you fail." Ahsoka stopped short of that.
"If we fail then what?" Steela asked, narrowing her eyes "If we fail then what, Ahsoka?"
Ahsoka finally answered "Then you'll know why the only thing the Jedi fear are Sith."
Up in the Royal Palace, Leo was sitting at a dinner table sipping on a fresh bottle of wine with his meal nearly finished. "Sith, General Tandin, the word you're looking for is Sith." Leo said across the table where Tandin was sitting his plate almost entirely untouched by his fork. The General and Governor were dining in a smaller hall with a long table between them, the lights were dimly shown on pillars of the wall leading back into the palace and another balcony letting in the warm night air of Iziz. A battle droid held a bottle of wine for Leo and Tandin.
"I've heard stories about them in the days of the Old Republic, Governor, to know you and the Count Dooku share that faith is respectfully… troubling." Tandin said when the Governor rested his goblet on the table.
Leo leaned back in his chair "Troubling?"
"I need to know as General of the Militia that Onderon won't be ruled by religious dogma but by laws made by men." Tandin answered him bluntly. Hearing him Leo's eyes got wide before he surprised the General by bursting out into a euphoric laugh. "...Governor?" Tandin asked.
Leo had almost fallen out of his chair "Sorry, I'm sorry General but to answer your question, no, Onderon will not be turned into a second Korriban." Leo said composing himself flicking a tear from his cheek "Now as we're discussing the extradition of the King to Raxus, you still protest?" Leo asked him.
"I do Governor, the King is a symbol to the people removing himself will sow doubt and amount the people and may rally them to these rebels." Tandin said.
Leo finished off the last of his dinner "It could, but less then out right executing him like Rash would do, if King Dendup is no longer here then the Rebels have no symbol to rally their forces behind so tomorrow the people will see their true colors."
"So you still plan to go through with this plan of yours?" Tandin asked him "I do, oh and your men's new equipment and uniforms have arrived. I trust it will serve you well." Leo told him.
"I fear some of the army won't agree to it, the Royal Militia like most of Onderon is steeped in tradition." Tandin explained.
Leo downed his goblet of wine "So many planets are, so afraid of change your men will still be part of the Onderonian Militia but serving as a homeguard here on Onderon when the droid army eventually leaves."
"What?" Tandin asked him.
Leo smiled "Yes, once these rebels have been defeated I'll petition the Count to hand over all military operations here on Onderon to you, when he sees that Onderon is loyal to the Separatist they'll have no need to keep automated soldiers." Leo said as he gestured the droid to go and fill up his goblet and Tandin. The droid walked over to Tandin and poured him a glass.
"Governor that is- it's wonderful news." Tandin said taken back by the news "I thought you'd think that." Leo said walking over to him holding up his goblet, Tandin rose "I look forward to a future working with you General, to Onderon."
"To Onderon." Tandin said as in the background of the hallway leading into the dinning room Kalani was eavesdropping.
The following morning, the square outside the palace was filled with people and rebels hidden in the crowd. Ahsoka had made her way up close to the front when the palace doors opened. Leo walked out with both Generals Kalani and Tandin behind him on each side. Like nails on a chalkboard to the rebels the city gave Leo a strong applause as he emerged from the palace greeting the people with an open hand waving back and forth to his adoring crowd. Leo approached the first steps which were lined with a row of Super Battle Droids towering over the crowd when Leo looked to Kalani and nodded.
The droid General held up his arm and pressed a button sending the battle droids away from the first steps breaking the barrier between him and the people "What's he doing?" Lux asked behind Ahsoka "I'm not sure?" Ahsoka asked Leo.
"Good people of Onderon, if your Governor comes before you with something you all should know." Leo said his voice carrying across the crowd "Dendup, your former King has been removed to Onderon-" a wave of gasps and shocked sounds rippled in the audience "-after an attempt to kidnap him from the palace was made last night." Leo said to a growing booing.
Holding each hand up to try and calm them "Good people, good people hear me." Leo echoed to them all "None of this would be necessary if the rebels who tried to kidnap the King would have accepted my offer of peace, but fear not." Leo told them.
"There are brave forces at work ready to combat the threat." The rebels and crowd watched the doors to the palace reopen and instead of droids coming out a full battalion of different soldiers walked out. They looked like the Onderonian Royal Militia with few changes. The armor was the same but instead of the red tunics of Onderonians royal house they were wearing faded blue uniforms with the Separaitst shield on one sleeve and the Royal Onderonian coat of arms on the other. All of the soldiers were holding E-5 blasters like battle droids and what was the most noticeable thing they were wearing were their helmets. Unlike the original combed open faced helmet they were wearing colorless metal helmets that looked like Commando droid heads. It had the same face and two glowing eyes with a metal jawline that encased the head. The top of the helmet had a flat top like a cap and even had a blade like brim on the front to shield the eyes.
"I am proud to present the first of many, the Royal Onderonian Militia has become the First Cohort of the Separation Militia and once they have brought Peace to Onderon they will to all worlds!" Leo proclaimed a mixed response of clapping and ominous worried mumbling.
The rebels in the crowd looked at each other worried "Are you still sure you guys want to go through with this?" Ahsoka asked.
"There's no turning back now." Lux whispered.
"I understand your cautiousness to accept these new soldiers." Leo said into the crowd "But understand, these are not some mercenaries or cloned slaves and they wouldn't even have to exist if not for the treacherous rebels who refuse to make peace, so I ask you..." Leo called out.
Then he got silent listening to the crowd murmur to themselves "STEELA GERERRA!" Leo screamed.
"Will you have peace, or war?" He asked.
The crowd looked around seeing if Steela would show up but nothing happened, Leo scanned the crowd till he spied Ahsoka next to Lux. He gave each of them a smug grin before he looked back to Tandin with a smile seeing the bluff had been called when out of the crowd propelled on the shoulders of two rebels Steela appeared with her sniper rifle "Governor!"
"FREE ONDERON!" Steela shouted squeezing the trigger, Leo's head spun around when he was hit in the left side of his upper chest by the laser bolt knocking him back into Tandin arms.
"Seize them!" Kalani ordered the Separaitst Militia and droids who started to push into the crowd. Most of the civilians who were looking forward saw them coming and moved but some rebels tossed out emp grenades that took the droids out and electrocuted the Militiamen. But that just made the Militia turn their blasters on the rebels and open fire.
"Scatter!" Steela shouted when the militia opened fire on the rebels, the sudden burst of gunfire sent the crowd into the panic causing a stampede out of the square. In the chaos Ahsoka looked up to see Tandin and Kalani dragging Leo back into the palace barring the doors with a second battalion of Militia and droids.
"Ahsoka we have to go." Lux said grabbing her hand and running, but everyone was going in their own directions and someone ran through their arms, breaking his grip. "Lux!" Ahsoka shouted when one of the Separaitst Militia saw him "There's one!" Lux tried to run but was tackled to the ground, with Steela saw him go down. Ahsoka didn't even think she jumped into action using the force to knock of the militia soldiers and taking out one of her green lightsabers to deflect their incoming shots helping Lux to his feet.
"Run, run now!" Ahsoka blocked their incoming fire "Jedi, it's a jedi!" Someone shouted.
When Lux was on his feet they started to back away getting chased into the city's narrow streets. "We have to get back to the hideout." Lux said to Ahsoka.
They rounded a corner when they came face to face with a patrol of droids "Hands in the air terrorist scum." One of the droids said when blue blaster bolts exploded from a nearby alleyway cutting them down.
Dono and Saw appeared out of the alley "Come on this way." The three rebels and Ahsoka went back into the alley coming out on another end into a crowded street of civilians "It's the terrorists!" One of them screamed.
Among the crowd were Militia who started to push through "Stand aside, stand aside- HALT!" The Militia shouted coming to confront the rebels.
"Don't shoot, we aren't fighting our own kind." Lux snapped as the Militia surrounded them "Drop your weap-" a rock flew from the civilian crowd "Traitor!" One of the people had thrown the rock hitting the Militiaman in the back of the head.
"The people are fighting with us." Dono gasped when a man standing next to the civilian who had thrown the rock had a bottle smashed on their head "Terrorist!" Rocks and bottles took to the air and the crowd devolved into a mob of insults followed by blood and shoving "Keep them back, keep them back!" The Militia officer ordered "Free Onderon!" Someone shouted before they heard "They killed Primus, kill the terrorists!"
Dono looked to Saw "We have to get out of here."
Before Dono could get an answer a stray rock smashed into the back of her head with a loud CRACK, her eyes rolled back and Dono hit the ground a pool of blood gushing out from behind her head. When Saw saw Dono go down he looked back at the Militia officer in front of him "Don't try it!" The officer shouted.
"FOR ONDERON!" Saw yelled raising his blaster. The lasers flew and the Militia lines around them broke from the people on their side but the Militia's own supporters spilled in over into a brutal melee of firsts, rocks and anything the civilians could find.
"Stay close to me." Ahsoka said grabbing Lux and keeping her lightsaber ready, the rebels tried to fight there way through the crowd with Ahsoka cutting down any droids that were in the mix when suddenly she was attacked "Jedi filth this we don't want you here!" A man suddenly grabbed pulling her off Lux.
Ahsoka reacts without thinking and cut his arm right off his screams drawing everyone around them toward Ahsoka "Jedi, get the Jedi Kill her!" The mob surrounded Ahsoka, making her draw her shoto. The yellow and green blades lit up the fearful faces of everyone in the mob but their anger overpowered their fear "Rush her!" Ahsoka swung her lightsabers to try and keep them at a distance, unable to bring herself to attack them when she was tackled from the back. They pinned her to the ground "Hold her, hold her down, get the lightsabers!" Ahsoka felt them smash her arms into pavement kicking her and stomping on her head. She could taste the copper flavor of blood in her mouth when she saw the glint of a knife "Gonna cut you good Jedi.
In an the act of sheer instinct Ahsoka opened herself up to the living force and all hell broke loose. The entire street heard a crack like a sound barrier break followed by everyone getting knocked off their feet, the closest to Ahsoka were flung into the air like rag dolls and raining on others in broken bodies knocked out or screaming in agony from catching the brunt of Ahsoka's unleashed power.
Ahsoka was first to her feet seeing she'd broken the very street, it had caved in around her with cracks going all the way up to the walls of nearby buildings "I… I didn't mean to." "Ahsoka!" Lux had appeared behind her with Saw on his feet as people started to get up.
"We need to get out the city, Steela says the whole city has gone crazy." Lux said offering her back both lightsabers.
"R-right." She said before running behind Lux and Saw leaving Dono's corpse behind. They moved into another empty street and saw a manhole "We can get out through the sewers." Saw said opening it up.
"Nice find." Ahsoka said helping him move it, in the distance the sounds of explosions and screams took over the city.
Lux looked back into the city seeing black smoke rising over the buildings "What have we done."
"Lux, come on." Saw said, pulling him into the sewers to escape, followed by slid down the ladders all three of them landing in sewage sludge up to their heels hearing the sounds of the chaos up in the streets "Come on this way." Saw said guiding them down the dark sewage tunnels, lights from sewage grates above trickled in down on them. To Ahsoka and Lux it was a labyrinth of old stone racked with the heavy stench but Saw moved forward heading left, then right, going another left then right making a full turn "Are you sure you know where you're going?" Lux asked him.
"Steela and I used to use these sewers to sneak in and out of the city when we're children." Saw said "Do you think she made it out alright?" Lux asked him looking down, seeing a pipe from the street starting to pour in dark red liquid mixing with the shite and grime.
Saw held up his hand for them to halt "Someone's coming on the other side." Saw said in a hushed voice.
Leo and Saw held up their blasters moving to a corner when they came around they saw Steela and a group of rebels "Steela!" Saw said running up to her with Lux "It's chaos up there, the entire city erupted into a riot." Lux said to her.
"We should go up there, rally the people and break down the palace doors." Saw suggested "Didn't you see what happened up there, the people are turning on each other?" Ahsoka said.
"Those traitors will get what's coming to them, one we get the people in line we can take the city." Saw said to him and the people.
The other rebels nodded and barked in agreement "No, we need to get out of here." Steela said silencing them "But Steela-" "Before we got off the streets the city garrison was flooding the streets with militia and battle droids soon they'll-" Suddenly the entire sewer shook from an explosion topside.
"What was that!?" Lux gasped, losing his balance and falling into the sewage "Tanks, the droid garrison is in the city." Ahsoka said. Everyone looked back at Steela "We can't fight them here in the city, it'll cost too many lives we need to withdraw to the highlands." Lux suggested
"Retreat, after we killed Primus, Steela this is your moment." Saw told her, she looked back to her men, then Lux and Ahsoka. Everyone paused and waited to see what she would do, "We need to know what the situation is, do we have anyone still up top?"
"Some of our men made it back to the hideout." Saw said to her, "Get them on coms." Steela ordered. Saw took out his communicator and turned it on, up in the hideout the rebels were packed inside carrying wounded civilians in keeping watch for rioters and militia garrison.
One of them heard his communicator come on "Saw, where are you? It's bloody chaos up here we have mobs attacking each other, the garrison is everywhere."
The rebels heard him down in the sewers "How many of ours are wounded?" Steela asked.
"We've got wounded coming in and we're trying to help the injured civilians but-irk." The entire com went dead for a second "Come in, come in whats going on?" Steela asked, taking the com from her brother.
Then they heard it "You shot me."
Steela locked eyes with Ahsoka, both of them recognizing exactly whose voice it was, up in the rebel hideout Leo was holding the rebel communicator in one hand, and his lightsaber in the other. He'd just killed the rebel holding it, his lightsaber still burning with his blood as Militia soldiers came in blasters at the ready shooting any Rebel who even looked like they were thinking of reaching for a blaster. They moved into the rebel hideout dragging the wounded out putting them on their knees as Leo spoke to the rebels. Leo looked down at his right shoulder and the wound reeked of burnt flesh a smell he was familiar with as much as his own breath.
"He's still alive." Lux gasped "That's impossible you never miss." Saw said
"That was one shot and you wasted it, so let me tell you what happens next?" Leo asked Steela, making the rebels go silent, "You get the war you want." Leo said walking around the prisoners with his lightsaber, he walked up to a prisoner who had their hands behind their back eyes filled with terror at the sight of the Sith apprentice. Leo held up his lightsaber to the man's neck slowly burning the left side of his neck, the man started to scream loud enough for the rebels to hear and too much for Leo to bear, he turned off the lightsaber.
"... all the death and bloodshed that comes next is on you." Leo said "Consider this my last act of mercy for your rebels, come tomorrow your head is mine Steela Gerrera." Leo cut the com to static and looked over his shoulder to see Tandin and Kalani come in.
"Tandin, Kalani announce on the speakers the streets are to be cleared…." he said walking out of the hideout "Kill all who resist."
"Governor you can't-" "As you command My lord." Kalani replied by cutting off Tandin watching Leo make his way back to the palace.
By sunset the Rebels could see Iziz burning in the distance, the Separatists had made short work of the small uprising before it even began. In a few hours when night fell they'd reached the highlands. Tall canyon and plateaus were a welcome sight to the bustling city that had been their home for the past couple days, when they reached a higher point in the canyons Steela held up her hand "Alright everyone let's make camp."
Everyone dropped their gear and laid down their wounded at Steela's command, Lux took a seat on a small boulder before Ahsoka heard her comlink beep, she took a few steps away from the rebels and turned it on to reveal both Anakin and Obi-Wan. "Ahsoka report?" Anakin asked him.
"It's been… rough, Masters." Ahsoka said looking back at the rebels "From what we can tell from the chatter we're intercepting from Separatist coms the droid army is on the move, what's the situation?" Obi-Wan asked her.
She looked down at Obi-Wan in her palm "The rebels assassination attempt failed, badly Leo has his own private army of Militia working for him now too, he unleashed them on the city and it turned into a bloodbath."
"That is troubling, but perhaps we can be of some assistance." Anakin said suddenly smirking "Assistance?" Ahsoka asked when she heard a ship coming in overhead. The rebels looked up to see a Republic drop ship flying in low landing on the plateau across from them "What's all this?" Lux asked as Steela and Saw came up when the front of the ship opened to reveal Anakin and Obi-Wan escorting King Dendup down the ramp.
All the rebels jumped up at the sight of their liege returning to them "Your Majesty." Steela said kneeling alongside Lux and Saw followed by the other Rebels with Ahsoka looking at her Masters in confusion "Masters, you've been busy?"
"We intercepted the King on his way to Raxus, we were taking him to Coruscant when we heard what happened in Iziz." Obi-Wan said as Dendup approached the rebels.
"Arise my friends, the Jedi have informed of everything you have done for our people and you have my eternal gratitude." The King said as everyone rose to their feet "We'd give our lives for Onderon your majesty." Lux said to him.
"Thank you child." the old man said with a small smile before looking at Lux and placing a hand on his shoulder. "Your mother would be proud." he said. "Thank you, my lord." the teen replied, mirroring his smile before Dendup turned his attention to the others loyalists.
"We must first win the will of the people back from the Governor, that is the only way." he said, removing his hand and standing up.
"The Separatists will assemble their forces, Count Dooku will want me dead more than ever." he said. "Then we'll have to teach them another lesson. Together." Gerrera said as the other rebels cheered having their hope rekindled.
"I knew you Jedi couldn't resist a good fight." Lux said to the Jedi with a smile as he walked over to them. "Are we becoming that predictable?" Ahsoka asked, mirroring his smile. "Maybe just you and only to me." he replied softly earning a shy smile from her. Anakin smiled too before Ahsoka walked over to him.
She gave him a playful grin "Always coming in to save the day at the last minute." She said smugly "It's what we do best."
Ahsoka looked around to see Obi-Wan walking away "Where's he going?"
"He said he needed a moment, I think what Leo's been doing is starting to take a toll on Obi-Wan." Anakin said "Belive me I know." Ahsoka said remorsefully.
Meanwhile.
Back at the Royal Palace, Leo was sitting in his private quarters with Proxy tending to his wound while Leo was holding another bottle of wine, of which number he'd lost count, his shirt was off so the droid could work easier. He winced "Would you hurry up." He snapped at Proxy "My apologizes Master, but I am not programmed to heal, quite the opposite really."
"Then stop and go." Leo ordered getting up and putting on a fresh robe to cover his latest scar.
He heard the door close walking over to a map of the highlands before he ears it open again "Proxy I told you to leave."
"Unlike the droid, I don't have to obey you." Leo turned around, Turok was standing behind him looking, non to pleased "Tandin gone."
"What?" Leo asked "He disappeared, along with half the royal guard after the sun went down, probably to go join the rebels." Turok reported "Guess that puts you in charge of the Militia now, congratulations." Leo said, picking up the bottle.
"Now, get out." Leo ordered him as he drank his wine "No." Turok told him.
Leo snickered as he sucked down the red liquid "What did you say?"
"I said no… what are you doing Leo?" Turok asked him "Trying to plan a war, come tomorrow we'll crush the rebels into oblivion." Leo said gesturing to the maps setting down his wine glass "No, not that what you are doing I thought we we're on a mission to find a secret Sith Lord, not become one." Turok exclaimed.
Leo turned around then "What did you say?"
"This isn't you Leo." Turok said, taking a step to him, "The boy who rescued me from the Citadel wouldn't do what you're about to do, lead an occupying army against people who want their freedom." Turok told him walking closer "I know what I'm doing?"
"And what are you doing, what are we doing here?" Turok asked almost shouting holding up his claws, the Trandoshan looked at the young man with eager eyes yearning to understand.
"What I'm doing, I tried to stop all this fighting from happening in the first place?" Leo snapped back accusingly.
Turok scoffed "Oh what a load of bantha pooda Leo, you wanted this from the start you drove them to try and do something radical and you almost died?"
"I've survived worse." Leo barked, turning around picking up the wine bottle again, but before he could drink it Turok grabbed the bottle out of his hand and chucked it into the wall, shattering it "You're going to get yourself killed!" Turok shouted at him.
Leo looked up at him, seeing Turok was absolutely livid "You got lucky today Leo, what happens when the next person who takes a shot isn't holding a blaster, but a lightsaber?" Turok said pointing to the one on Leo's hip, the one that belonged to Exar Kun.
"Let's just go." Turok said.
"Go?" Leo asked him.
The trandoshan nodded his head "Let's get the droid, get on the ship and just go leave all this whole war behind." Turok said smiling "And do what?" Leo asked him.
"Whatever we want, we could be mercenaries, bounty hunters, smugglers, it doesn't matter you don't have to be something you're not." Turok told him.
"And what am I not?" Leo asked him, walking over to another shelf of drinks "This, Darth Primus, you're better than that." Turok begged.
Leo looked at Turok long and hard "...If you want to go, go, I won't stop you, I'll lead the army myself."
Turok's jaw opened to the object but he didn't say anything "Guess that's it then." Turok said before he turned around "May the force be with you, Leo Rock." Turok said walking out the door and Leo's life, leaving him alone.
