Chapter 63

CAUGHT IN THE ACT!

A LOVE TRIANGLE? MOGAMI KYOKO CAUGHT BEGGING FOR TSURUGA REN'S AFFECTION DESPITE KNOWING THE SUPERSTAR HAS A GIRLFRIEND!

"What is the meaning of this headline Kyoko?! I know you and Ren are quite close but to do something like this can make or break your career." Sawara reprimanded as he lays the paper on top of his desk with the bold letters of the headline facing Kyoko.

"As if I care." Kyoko returned rather sharp and coldly with her dark aura surrounding her whole body.

"This is the same look she had during the auditions." Sawara thought to himself as a cold sweat dropped from his forehead after seeing the change in Kyoko.

"Hahaha. Didn't I always tell you that boys are nothing but trouble? If only you just listened to me then you won't be miserable again like this." The devil Kyoko said to herself.

"Don't listen to her Kyoko-chan, Ren is nothing but kind to you all this time. He must have a big reason in doing the things he did recently for he will never hurt you intentionally." The calm voice of Kyoko's inner angel said.

Kyoko shook her head to disperse the inner Kyoko's and returned to her normal self. "Gomen Sawara san, I wasn't thinking clearly last night."

"Strange, she can easily revert back to her normal self?" Sawara thought and cleared his throat and said, "We should release and official statement from you regarding this, do you want me to do it?"

"I will really appreciate it Sawara san."

"Alright I'll handle it, remember this never say anything to any press or to anyone regarding this matter. Denial is always the best thing to do in a situation like this, is that clear Kyoko?"

Kyoko slowly nodded.

"This is absurd how can you allow Ren to do this?" Lory asked in anger tossing a newspaper while wearing a Renaissance period costume.

"It must be his way of toughening Mogami-chan's heart before he leaves for good." Yashiro answered at the LME president.

"Kuon…"

"Ren…call me Ren in public that is my name here."

"Yeah of course…about that girl Mogami-san she's special to you right.." it wasn't a question.

"It will be better if you will not ask about her anymore." Ren said coldly as he grabs a bite of his French toast.

Emiko pouted and glares at Ren before taking a huge bite of her pancake. As they we're both enjoying their breakfast the news from the television called their attention.

"We have received an official statement from Mogami Kyoko regarding the headline of the newspapers today and I quote. First it is wrong to snoop around people's privacy and second whatever happened last night is all part of a Love Me task given to me and my friend and co-Love me member Kanae-san to surprise Tsuruga san."

"What a liar…"

Kyoko just finished her photo shoot for a magazine centerfold when a beautiful and tall red haired lady approach her.

"Mogami Kyoko, if you don't want people like me snooping around your private business then you should have not joined this industry." The red haired lady mocked.

Kyoko's personality changed in an instant and her dark aura quickly enveloped her whole body as she sent a deadly glare to the lady.

Out of fear, the lady runs as fast as she could away from Kyoko's sight. "Is she a demon or something?"

"That will keep her out of my private life for good." Kyoko thought evilly, however the dark Kyoko persona easily dispersed when she heard a familiar laugh.

"Mogami-san, do you have a photo shoot here as well?" The smooth voice of Ren clouded her thoughts.

"Yes-I was about to leave." Kyoko said walking ahead of Ren who is with Emiko his rumored girlfriend.

"I think you've become worse Ren." Emiko said emphasizing his name.

"You know why I'm doing this Emi…" Ren said as he walked towards the photo studio.

"Maybe I should explain to the poor girl everything…" Emiko thought.

After Ren was done with his photo shoot members of the press swarmed around him trying to get just a word from him regarding Kyoko's statement and the real deal with his girlfriend.

"Tsuruga-san, what can you say about Mogami-san's official statement?"

"Who is your girlfriend where did you meet her why is she being kept from public until now?"

"Is this all for publicity you connived with Mogami-san to promote your movie?"

"No it's not but I'd like for the press to stop sensationalizing the idea of me with Mogami-san besides that…" Ren said while wrapping his arm around Emiko who gasped in return (on Ren's sudden action)

"Kuon what are you doing?" Emiko whispered to his ear.

"Just smile and go along with what I said…" Ren said tightening his hold on Emiko's shoulder pressing the girl against him.

"I'm very happy right now and I don't want this beautiful girl with me misunderstanding things…" Ren simply flashed his handsome smile to the reporters his words captivating the press. (And starting that day the reporters had stop reporting about the 'Scandal') but that doesn't mean people will just forget about it.

"Kyoko…" The familiar voice of Fuwa Sho snapped Kyoko out of her own personal thoughts.

"Shotaro? What are you doing here?" Kyoko asked surprised to see him in the same studio.

"I just finished my commitments here and when Shoko told me you are here as well I decided to look for you, you want to grab some lunch with me for old time sake?"

Kyoko glares at him, their past encounter back at her mother's home is still fresh in her memory, "I don't think that is a good idea Sho."

"Why your boyfriend pretty boy Tsuruga Ren will be mad?" Sho asked mocking her. "Wait he's not your boyfriend for he's girlfriend is that pretty blonde lady."

"Quit it Sho, I have enough problems as it is I don't need you adding more." Kyoko said glaring at the handsome Fuwa Sho.

"Alright then I won't mention anything just eat lunch with me that's all."

"Do it Kyoko besides this will be a sweet revenge on Tsuruga Ren for he hates Shotaro's guts, two can play at this game." Inner demon Kyoko suggested with an evil laugh.

"Don't make the situation worse than it is Kyoko-chan." Inner angel Kyoko said.

"Fine I'll come with you but you better keep your hands to yourself." Kyoko said with a warning.

Sho raises his hands in mock surrender, "Promise."

"You owe me a lot Ren." Emiko said irritably, her original plan of vacation in Japan is totally ruined since she is Japan's number one star's girlfriend.

"Just deal with it for a while Emi…I am returning to America soon."

"And leave Kyoko just like that? I don't think that will be a great idea. Wait speaking of Mogami-san isn't that her?" Emiko said pointing her fork to the direction of Sho and Kyoko who just arrived at the restaurant.

Kyoko didn't know why Sho bothered bringing her in a fancy restaurant for lunch.

"Give us the most secluded place since we don't want people snooping in us." Sho said as he secretly gives a bill of money to the waiter.

"Yes of course, follow me." The waiter said and led them to the table beside where Ren and Emiko are eating.

"Will you look at this Kyoko our table is near Tsuruga Ren and his girlfriend?" Sho said emphasizing the word girlfriend.

"Will you shut it and let's just eat lunch like we talked earlier?" Kyoko snapped angrily not bother looking into Ren and Emiko's table.

"Geez…" Sho mutters almost to himself as he looks at the menu.

"Be used to this sight Ren because you will be seeing this all the time." Sho thought to himself as he grins.

"You look crazy grinning at no particular reason." Kyoko said upon seeing Sho's grin.

"Can't help it Kyoko. Besides I am handsome when I am grinning and you know that."

"Maybe before your stupidity." Kyoko returned.

The rest of the lunch went smoothly and when Ren and Emiko are done eating Emiko said her goodbyes.

"We are going ahead Mogami-san." Emiko said smiling sweetly.

"Let's go Emiko…" Ren said grabbing the blonde wrapping his arm around her waist that action didn't get passed Kyoko's eyes it was painful, it hurt her but she couldn't do anything about it.

"What happened Ren?"

Although Kyoko wanted to be mad she can't because Emiko is kind not bitchy like what she thought at first, "Yeah…take care I guess."

"You are acting nice to your love rival?" Sho asked as he eats a piece of steak he ordered.

"Love rival?"

"Yeah isn't she Tsuruga's girlfriend?"

"Yeah according to the news but Tsuruga-san and I haven't talked about it yet so I am not assuming anything." Kyoko said truthfully.

"Not assuming things? Didn't you hear his interview last week? And just now didn't you see how he touches her…I'm a man so I know when a man is serious about a girl it's obvious they're intimate…"

Kyoko looks away, yeah she saw how Ren wrap his arm around Emiko all the time. She did even see them laughing together while preparing to leave Ren's apartment. But she kept on refusing the truth that has been causing her heartache.

"Just shut up Shoutaro…"

"For your sake, it's better to believe in the news rather than experience a bigger heartbreak I gave you before in the end."

"What do you mean?" Kyoko asked curiously.

"You'll see…"

Because of the scandal Ren and Kyoko are involved the anticipation for the movie sky rocketed and the fans wanting to see the movie in the premiere crowded at the theatre the movie was scheduled to release.

"This is the day fans are waiting for…the movie premiere of Sakura Love!" The host announced at the red carpet.

The fans screamed more as they await the actor and actresses to come walk in the red carpet.

For the movie premier purposes, Ren and Kyoko rode together in a limousine Director Musashi provided for them. An ambiguous silence was observed by the two as they share their ride.

"Do you hate me Tsuruga-san?" Kyoko asked suddenly.

"Why should I?" He simply answered.

"I-"Kyoko was about to say something but the driver of their limousine announced their arrival at the theatre.

Ren went out of the limousine first flashing his handsome smile waving at everyone before offering his hand for Kyoko to take. Kyoko was wearing a red long dress that hugs her petite figure nicely that is cut low at the back revealing her creamy white skin at the back and a three inches high heeled red sandals, her hair was nicely shaped by Jelly Woods and her makeup although light was enough to show her pretty young face. Ren was not looking bad himself with his black tailored suit and red neck tie.

Following Ren and Kyoko at the red carpet are Director Musashi, Assistant Director Ushio, Kuu, Yuuko, Kijema and Sho. Other big names in the showbiz industry also walked the red carpet towards the theatre to watch the movie premier of Sakura Love.

Inside the theatre Director Musashi stood among the crowd holding a microphone with him.

"I thank everyone who helped me make this movie possible…the last script my late wife wrote for me before she died. It is with my great honor to present to everyone for the first time my coup de grace, Sakura Love." Director Musashi said before he went down from the stage to go to his seat.

The movie showed the great chemistry Ren and Kyoko have on the screen on how smoothly they were able to act Keisuke and Miho respectively in the tragic love story of Sakura Love that shows their trials from Keisuke's father not supporting their relationship, to their separation, reunion, marriage and finally Miho's death to an incurable disease she was suffering from.

Everyone who saw the movie was moved to tears especially at the final scene in which Miho died in Keisuke's arms on time for the cherry blossom at the largest Sakura tree at the top of the hill.

Kyoko was crying upon seeing the last scene and Ren offered her his handkerchief to cry on.

"It is beautiful…I didn't expect it to be this good." Kyoko said through tears.

"Yeah…" Ren said.

After the ending credits was shown with a melodramatic duet sung by Sho and a female music artist and the lights were turned on people started standing clapping for a job well done by everyone involved in the movie. The standing ovation lasted for a few minutes.

"This is superb Musashi. I'm sure your wife is proud of what you accomplished." Lory said to his friend while wiping a tear from his eye, watching tragic love stories always makes him cry for a reason.

"Thank you Lory for lending Ren and Kyoko if it weren't for them this movie would not be as good as it turned out." Musashi said as he leaves Lory for a while to join his stars that are already waiting at the stage for him.

The stars and movie staff in the stage linked hands together bowing before their audience.

"We thank everyone for the warm reception we received. To our producers who invested their money to make this movie possible I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for trusting me after years of hiatus as a director. To my staff who patiently works hard day and night and most especially to my stars that made the characters my late wife created alive with their portrayals especially to Tsuruga Ren and Mogami Kyoko." Musashi said to the audience holding a tear from escaping his eyes.

The audience clapped louder than before.

"We thank everyone for supporting this movie, for Director Musashi in believing in my talent, to my co-actors especially to my senpai Tsuruga-san for helping me every step of the way throughout my acting career." Kyoko said as she couldn't help but to feel happy.

"I also thank Director Musashi for entrusting Keisuke's character to me, to the staff who patiently works with us and to the people believing in us. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have been with me since I started my acting career two years ago. You know who you are and you know how much I owe my career to all of you." Ren said in a serious face.

"What is Tsuruga-san talking about…is he saying goodbye?"

"Japan had been my home all my life but I've been invited by an American director to join Hollywood and I decided that I will try my luck there…Again I can't say thank you enough for the opportunities my home country give me." Ren said and bowed to the crowd before escaping the stage with his fast long legs.

"Tsurugu-san.." Kyoko said shock of what Ren just said. She followed Ren she has lots of questions she needs answers.

"Ren leaving Japan for America…Hollywood…"

The crowd inside the theatre was surprised with Ren's announcement and are in shock at what he just said.

"Is it for real?"

"Why now when he's so popular?"

"Tsuruga-san! Ren-kun, Kuon!" Kyoko screamed as she throws her high heeled sandals and runs to catch up with Ren.

"Let's go Emiko…" Ren said as he grab Emiko by her arms dragging her away with him hurriedly.

"W-Wait Kuon!"

"Wait Kyoko!" It was Moko.

"Not the right time Moko-san I'm-"

"Just wait a minute Kyoko!" Moko said slapping Kyoko stunning the latter.

"W-What did you just…"

"Listen to me will you…" Moko sighed as she pull something from her pocket and give it to Kyoko.

"T-This is…" Kyoko said as she open the letter her eyes widen as she recognized the handwriting (in the letter). "Thanks for this Moko-san I will read it however I don't have a time to read now I have to run after Ren.." she said as run like (a cheetah) to catch up to Ren (Hopefully)

"That girl really…"

…

"Wait Kyoko stop!" Sho screamed as he's running behind Kyoko, thanks to his non athletic body he runs slower than Kyoko.

"Don't stop me Shotaro!" Kyoko screamed back.

"Damn it!" Sho snarled and pushed his speed to the limit to catch up with Kyoko which he did.

"Let go of me Shotaro!" Kyoko said trying to free herself from Sho's grasp.

"Fuck it Kyoko can't you see he's going to Hollywood."

"I don't care I have to talk to him please."

"Fine if you are so persistent then go catch up with your brother." Sho said and immediately closed his mouth when he said the secret Ren had been keeping all this time.

Tears fall down from Kyoko's eyes, "What do you mean?"

"I…you have the same father…Kuon Hizuri…your mom told me."

"And Ren knows it all this time?" Kyoko asked shaking.

Sho nodded.

"No I don't believe you; you are just making this up!" Kyoko said in a loud voice and resumed running however due to the tears in her eyes she didn't see the speeding red car in the street that hit her small body sending it flying before dropping on the street with blood coming out of her head.

"Kyoko!" Sho screamed as he rushed to where Kyoko's body is.

Before drifting to unconsciousness Kyoko said, "Ren-kun…"

"Kuon are you really sure about this?" Emiko asked Ren one more time before they boarded the flight to LA.

"Yeah this is for the best…"
