Chapter 66
President Lory's Office, LME Studios
Delight and Relief are the two things President Lory felt seeing Ren for the very first time in two years. Ren hasn't change a bit (the only thing that changed) is that he's famous than ever before (worldwide) and he's proud to be the first one who discovered the former gem (still is) of the Japanese entertainment industry.
"Ren…it's been two years I believe…" Lory greeted as he let the (returnee) inside his office.
"Same here director Lory and I see you haven't changed yet." Ren remarked as he looks at Lory who is wearing an elaborate and excessively lavish Korean emperor costume.
"Yes…how about we both take a seat and talk. What do you want to drink?" Lory asked as he lead the way with Ren following him behind.
"GEWÜRZTRAMINER would be nice."
"Nice taste Ren and I'll have RIESLING…" Lory clicked his fingers and asked his servant to bring them some refreshments.
"How long would you be staying in Japan is it only for the movie or are you returning for good?" Lory asked sipping his wine.
Ren decided to enjoy the fruity flavor whilst smelling the aroma of rose, peach and lychee on his wine in his glass before meeting Lory's eyes. "Yes I'm living and based permanently in LA..."
Lory's eyebrow shot up at this, "Then why come here?"
After leaving Sho's place, Kyoko went to Sawara's office saying that he has another project for her (also volunteered to help her make her acceptance speech).
Kyoko knocked on his office door bowed and greeted.
"Ohayo Sawara-san."
"Ah…Kyoko come in I have a job for you..." Sawara said with his business-as-usual tone in his voice.
"Alright how do I begin this?" Sawara said to himself scratching his chin in the process while walking back and forth behind his desk.
"Is there anything wrong Sawara-san?"
"No there is nothing wrong, you see Kyoko this is the project you've been waiting for." Sawara said with excitement.
Kyoko's eyes gleamed, "Really I will finally become a fairy or a princess in a movie?"
Sawara sighs deeply and slumps to his chair, "Silly no. This is an international project Kyoko no let me rephrase that a Hollywood movie."
"Hollywood movie, is this the same movie that popular actor Tsuruga Ren will be shooting here?" Kyoko asked without much excitement as she did earlier.
The wise manager looks at Kyoko as if in disbelief, how could she not be excited when she will work in an international movie with her former senpai Tsuruga Ren? Then he remembered the events that happened two years ago from her accident to her selective amnesia.
"Sawara-san?" Kyoko called waving her hands in front of him.
"Anyway this is the contract and the scripts for the movie read it first then tell me what you think. If I were you I will not miss this opportunity to be recognized worldwide." Sawara lays the contract and movie scripts in his desk for her to see.
"It's a romantic film called 'Remember me' it's about a young couple who got separated because of war…" The premise of the plot got Kyoko's interest. "His wife is devastated when she got news from her husband's commanding officer that her husband died in war but his body wasn't recovered but after a few years the wife returned to Japan only to see her husband's alive but has no memories of her…"
"This is the fifth time Sho is there something in your mind?" Shoko asked her talent who can't seem to sing properly.
"He's back." He simply muttered and tosses the jacket in his hand to the floor frustratingly.
When Ren was done talking with president Lory, he will release a live press release in the main studio of LME. On his way to the main studio he didn't saw a running Kyoko and bumps into her making her drop the contact and movie script she's carrying.
"Gomen." Kyoko apologized lowering her head down while picking up the fallen documents not knowing who she bumped into.
Regaining his composure Ren gracefully picks up the contract and hands it over to her and was surprised when he saw who it was he bumped into, the girl he loves is now a woman who had grown her orange hair now changed into (strawberry blonde hair) reaching just below her shoulders and grown a little in height.
"Kyoko?" He asked in disbelief his heart beating rapidly in his chest for he had been waiting for this moment for two years.
"Excuse me do we know each other?" Kyoko asked innocently.
Ren felt his world shatter at that moment he can't say anything or even move, how could Kyoko his Kyoko forget about him? Did he hurt her so much that she completely erased him in her mind?
"I will take this now, I'm sorry for bumping into you." Kyoko said taking the contract from Ren's hand turning her back from him and walked away.
Yashiro who had been looking for Ren, called him staring in an empty space.
"There you are Ren, Director Cameron is waiting for you back to the hotel and the host who will interview you is also there."
When Ren went back to his hotel room he saw his director packing up after his interview.
"It's your turn Ren…" Ren's director said to him in English.
"Yes…" Ren nodded.
The press inquired him questions of how does it feel working abroad and becoming popular and a lot of other questions regarding his career.
Ren answered all of their questions smoothly and truthfully about his struggles in a foreign land and how he gained respect by being passionate in his work.
"Tsuruga-san, we heard that you will be working with a Japanese actress in the movie do you have any hint for us who will be playing the supporting role?" A reporter asked.
Sho who is seated at the back of his car watching Ren's press release in his car is not happy with the news.
"Sho…"
"There is somewhere I would like to go first before you take me home." If you thought you can take Kyoko again away from me you're wrong for she is mine…"
The following evening, Sawara called Kyoko after she was done in her recording for a movie, to go to the location of where the music video she'll be acting on will be shot.
"I wonder whose song this music video will be." Kyoko thought curiously for Sawara did not give her all the full details of the music video for her busy manager totally forgot about it.
After her makeup and her clothes were changed into a simple summer dress for the director said the theme of the music is about young love.
Kyoko was instructed to slowly walk at the red carpet that was showered with (coincidentally) her favorite flowers.
"Is that clear?" The director asked her after giving the instructions.
Kyoko smiled cheerfully, "Yes."
"Alright everyone ready, Kyoko you may start anytime now." The PA instructed and cued the lighting, camera and sounds team that are waiting on standby.
As Kyoko started to walk in the red carpet, a love song sung by her boyfriend Sho played and fireworks were lit decorating the dark night sky with the different colors they emit.
"The song's playing sounds live it's as if Sho is really singing it…"
In this moving time, we met by chance, didn't we, you and I?
This overflowing feeling won't disappear because I'm keeping it warm
I want to be with you, in the shining future

Kyoko who is always fascinated by the beauty of fireworks looked up to the sky while an innocent blush graces her cheeks while the love song continued playing in the background.

In happy times, and sad times too, I'll fly to you without hesitation

After the fireworks display are done, Kyoko look back to the red carpet she's walking into and suddenly stopped when she saw Sho looking handsome in a black suit down in one knee smiling gracefully at her.
Because you are here, today and tomorrow, I can keep on going
Brand New Breeze, now the story begins
Just for us, I won't ever let it end
"Sho…" Kyoko said with tears brimming in her eyes threatening to fall anytime.
"Kyoko we've been together for two years now and I'd be a fool if I don't do this now. (Clears his throat) What I'm trying to say is Mogami Kyoko will you do your childhood friend and lover a favor? Will you marry me and become mine for the rest of our lives..." Sho asked down on one knee with a pear shaped cut diamond ring feeling nervous and scared at the same time his shaking hand still holding onto Kyoko's hand nervously waiting for his girlfriend to answer.
What Kyoko did next surprised Sho for she tackled him on the ground and kissed him passionately on the lips before giving her answer.
"Of course I'll marry you Shotaro."
Sho pouted when Kyoko called him on his real name but immediately replaced his pout with a real smile and embraced her tightly.

When Ren was done meeting with some executives in LME studios, just outside of LME building he saw people crowding at the big screen in front of the building. Wanting to know curiously what the fuzz is all about, he takes a peak at the window and saw Sho and Kyoko kissing with the headline written at the bottom of the screen.
"Japan's current number 1's Fuwa Sho and Mogami Kyoko are finally engaged and will be tying the knot soon!"
