Chapter 16
The Judgment of the Council
Leo woke up on a soft bed, rising up he felt the blanket slide over him. Rubbing his eyes felt crusty sand around his eyes and looked around the interior of the room. It was large the bed he was in wasn't a medical one, or one of the Jedi Temple medical rooms. The bed was round like the room with windows on one side and a door on the other. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness he could see across from him were a fresh set of beige medical robes had been set out for him. He looked down at his chest when he felt there were closed stitches over the recent scars to his collection. Getting out of the bed he noticed that the floor barred the emblem of the Old Republic, after he got dressed his whole body sore from the slightest movement.
He walked to the door reaching for the control, hesitating to open it he pressed the unlock button and was blinded by a flash of warm sunlight, Leo shielded his green eyes trying to see through it all. Coming out of the darkness into the light Leo saw he was on one of the most beautiful world's he'd ever seen, a lush jungle capping the top of high plateaus and twisting canyons with waterfalls feeding into rushing rivers and lakes on lower plateaus. Colorful birds flew in the air against the backdrop of a blue sky with white clouds.
"We wondered when you'd wake up?" Leo's heart leapt when he heard the voice, turning to his right he saw Obi-Wan standing hands behind his back.
"Master!" Leo ran toward him flinging his arms around the man pulling him in close, Obi-Wan hugged him back "You're alive." Leo said overjoyed with tears forming at the edge of his eyes.
"So are you." Obi-Wan said patting him on the back "Ahsoka- the younglings-" "Are fine Leo." Obi-Wan confirmed.
That's when Leo's joy soured "Selene she's gone." He said remembering the raven haired Jedi Knight who saved Ahsoka.
Obi-Wan nodded sadly "I'm afraid so, we found her body in the wreckage she was given a funeral two days ago. I'm sorry you couldn't attend."
"Four days ago?" Leo asked, breaking the hug.
"You've been asleep for a week Leo, while your body healed itself." Obi-Wan said gesturing down to a bandage on Leo's forearm "It's my fault." Leo replied walking over to the balcony in front of his door he leaned on it "She didn't have to die."
Obi-Wan looked at the floor hands clasped behind his back "No she didn't, but as a Jedi you must see there is no death there is only the force." Obi-Wan said remembering the vision he was gifted before Ahsoka came back for him aboard the Malevolence II.
"That still doesn't make it okay." Leo spun around "Selene, Onderon, the younglings were tortured because of me."
"Onderon has survived far worse then you Leo and the younglings will recover, see for yourself." Obi-Wan joined him on the balcony and gestured down below them. Leo finally had a chance to see where he was. They were in a temple that was no doubt, the walls themselves were a sandy begie being built from clay many years ago, there was metal dome roofs covering the tower he was in and the main structures around the temple. Below in the largest of them was an open courtyard with a sunken center that had the Jedi Order Symbol in it with a fountain to one side under a great tree like the one in the Temple on Coruscant but not nearly as large that covered half the courtyard. Playing around the courtyard were six mummies dressed as Jedi.
"The younglings." Leo said seeing them.
All six of them were down there in the courtyard for better or worse, the Katooni was the least wounded out of the six with only small bandages around her knuckles where she'd banged on her cell to be let out. Zatt had wrappings on his neck with a bacta gel back firmly placed under his lekku where the shocks had done the most damages. Gungi had his right arm in a cast, and bandages up and down his legs and one around his head. Ganodi was wearing bandages on her ears with small holes in them so she could hear but looked like she was okay. Byph without any bandages to speak of was wearing protective goggles on each of the ithorian's large eyes while the worst of it all was saved for Petro he had one arm in a sling another in a cast, wearing a boot on one leg with a full metal cast on the other that made him lean on a crutch but even with a bandage around his jaw and forehead he was smiling brightest out of all the six.
"Pass it here!" Petro said when Leo spotted the younglings were playing a game of force keep away with a training remote "I'm open, I'm open." Zatt called out before Petro tossed the remote he'd just received across the courtyard.
Leo let out a sigh of relief "They are far stronger than we give them credit, all our students are." Obi-Wan said, putting him on Leo's shoulder.
Raising his head slightly Leo almost didn't dare to ask the question "Is… Ahsoka here?" He asked, Obi-Wan smiled and beckoned him to follow.
"What is this place?" Leo asked him "A temple, founded by a Jedi in the days of the old Republic, they created it as a place for the Jedi to rest and recover the planets name is Serenity."
Elsewhere in the temple, Ahsoka was wearing her hooded jedi robe, sitting in meditation alongside Aayla Secura who was also sporting her own hooded robe to give them a feeling of warmth inside the meditation hall. It was a lightless room surrounded on all sides were thick roots from trees outside covered in moss and vines. What light did come in was through small cracks in the chambers ceiling which were obscured even more by the overgrowth of plants.
"Someone is coming." Aayla said, eyes opening.
Ahsoka and her looked back to see Obi-Wan and Leo standing in the doorway, the torgurtan had small bruises on her cheeks and around her left eye but other wounds were hidden under the robe she wore. "Master Secura, Ahsoka." Obi-Wan said greeting.
"Obi-Wan." Aayla said, rising looking at Leo "Leo." She greeted with some hesitance.
Leo gave a respectful bow "Master Secura." Leo said back unsure what else to say, his mind focused on something else.
"May I borrow Aayla, Ahsoka?" Obi-Wan requested, Ahsoka looked to the twi'lek "Of course Kenobi we have much to speak of." The two Masters soon left the meditation chamber and when they were a good distance away "Have you told him about the Council?" She asked.
"No not yet, the Chancellor is furious as is, give him time to rest." Obi-Wan whispered back to her.
Aayla stopped "We can't, Obi-Wan, the Council requested to be informed immediately upon his awakening."
"I already took the liberty they should be here within a day." Obi-Wan replied.
Back in the chamber Leo was looking at Ahsoka, her hood was up over her lekku and she was glaring at him from across the room "Ahsoka I-" "You can have the meditation chamber Padawan Rock, I was just leaving." She said walking past him. He was about to speak for her to stop but said nothing, instead he looked down at the floor feeling utterly alone.
Outside the chamber, Ahsoka walked past a whispering Aayla and Obi-Wan slipping by them unnoticed out into the courtyard where the younglings were playing. When they saw her they all stopped "Ahsoka-!" Katooni shouted before coughing hard, her voice wasn't just nasally it was wraps cheerfully running up to her.
"Hey Katooni how are you feeling?" Ahsoka asked feeling the tholothian hug her, the other younglings came over "I'm-" Another cough "getting my voice ba-ack." She said rubbing her neck feeling it sore inside. The other younglings were all sporting their own bruises and recovering wounds "What about you all?" Ahsoka asked.
"Neck doesn't hurt as bad, Gungi said he's feeling better, guess Wookies just heal faster?" Zatt said looking at Gungi across from him "Byph really likes his new goggles, I think he's going to keep them." Ganodi said.
Byph said something and I threw an "WHAT?" Ganodi asked holding up her rodian hands to her ear to try and hear him.
"There fine Ahsoka, we all are." Petro said walking up leaning his crutch on his shoulder like a sword with his cast arm on his hip when he started to lose his balance. He shoved his crutch out to catch himself before he could fall with all the other kids snickering.
Ahsoka smiled too "Padawan Tano is… Padawan Rock awake?" Katooni asked out in a wheeze.
"He's awake." She told them her smile evaporated when they brought him up "What will happen to him?" Zatt asked
Ahsoka turned to the young green nautolan "The Council will decide his fate."
"Will they let him come back to the Council, he did help us escape?" Petro pointed out but Ahsoka didn't answer him "No he didn't he just came back to finish Count Dooku and in the end he couldn't even do that, chickened out I guess that's what Sith do be cowards." Zatt pointed out.
"You don't know that, Ahsoka went back for him she probably knows?" Katooni said from across
"I… don't know." She said looking at them remembering what Leo had done in the end, he'd chosen to spare the Count, something a Sith would never do.
Back with Leo he walked out of the mediation hall and tried to find his way back to his chamber but went the other way wandering into a larger part of the temple. It wasn't filled with food, vines or roots, instead there were statues of Jedi long ago. There were humans, aliens and some statues that were just robed Jedi with plaques that had their names on them.
He looked at each of the names of the ancient Jedi when he started to notice something "Something on your mind?" Leo looked back and saw a familiar face, Obi-Wan was standing leaning on the door, arms crossed.
"Obi-Wan I mean Master?" Leo said seeing him and looking back at the statues, he walked in approaching Leo with a smile hands behind his back "I take it your reunion with Ahsoka was short-lived." Obi-Wan said while Leo gritted his jaw.
Begrudgingly Leo replied "We lost Selene, she was our friend and it's all my fault."
"But… she didn't lose you." Obi-Wan said walking in to stand beside him in front of the statue looking at it "Ulic Qel Droma." Obi-Wan said looking at the statue, it was of a handsome man wearing a baggy robe with a scarf collar. He had a mullet around the top of his head and armor on his shoulder pads "He was a Jedi who was sent to infiltrate the Krath a Sith Cult, but he was tempted by the dark side eventually becoming their leader." Obi-Wan said hands behind his back.
Leo looked at Ulic's statue "I know the story."
"How does it end?" Obi-Wan asked him "Ulic encountered another Sith Lord, the one who's sword I took; Exar Kun also a former Jedi they fought and Ulic became his apprentice in the end."
"And what happened to Ulic?" Obi-Wan asked him.
Leo rubbed the top of Oculus dome "He became Exar Kun's top General, he even defeated Mandalore forcing the Mandalorians to join them in a war against the Republic and the Jedi." Leo said "And?" Obi-Wan asked him arms crossed "It was one of the worst wars in the Republic's history, Ulic and Exar knew the Republic's strengths and weaknesses, every tactic their military had, even how many Jedi were in each world." Leo said looking at the statue "How did the Republic prevail?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Ulic betrayed the Sith." Leo replied looking down.
"Partly right." Obi-Wan said turning Leo around to look at another statue of a man who looked very similar to Ulic but had a mechanical arm and worse less gaudy robes, his hair was trimmed short rather than in a mullet "This Cay Qel-Droma, Ulic's brother even after everything Ulic did Cay refused to give up on him, as his brother and as a Jedi in the end Ulic killed brother in a fit of rage."
Leo soured hearing that "Lot of good it did him."
"In the end though it was worth it, overcome with remorse Ulic abandoned the Dark Side and Exar Kun giving the Republic everything they needed to defeat Kun and his army before he fled into exile."
"Then Ulic was shot in the back by some guy named Hoggon on a frozen world nobody remembers, what of it?" Leo asked him.
Obi-Wan started to walk down the temple "People make mistakes Leo, but what's important is that you were able to face it and stop yourself before it was too late and that like Cay, Ahsoka didn't give up on you she still hasn't she just needs time." Obi-Wan said, stopping short of another statue.
"So I'm like Ulic, a former Jedi who turned Sith, betrayed the Sith so who's going to shoot me in the back?" Leo asked him, Obi-Wan shook his head "No, more like this Jedi right here."
The statue Obi-Wan was standing in front of was different it was at the end of the hall in a place of honor, the Jedi wore robes in traditional long style like Master Koth but wore armor over his torso and forearms with a visored helmet under his robe "Who is this?"
"Some say the greatest Jedi to ever live, the same Jedi who founded this temple… or her, so many records of the time were lost so they're only known by one name, Revan the Prodigal Knight." Obi-Wan said beside him.
"I've heard that name before, I've seen it in the Archives but there wasn't anything more then a Jedi during the old Republic?" Leo asked him.
Obi-Wan nodded "He was also a Sith Lord for a time." Obi-Wan said looking up at the statues mask "What we do know about Revan is muddled at best, when he was still a padawan the Republic was at war with the Mandalorians, their clans had been united under a single ruler Mandalore the Ultimate who led them in a crusade against the Republic." Obi-Wan explained "You can imagine even with the full force of the Republic Military, the Mandalorian Clans with their superior armor and training were ferocious."
"The Republic begged the Jedi for help but the Council refused, they had been part of so many wars that left the Republic and Jedi with terrible scars they feared another one." Obi-Wan told him "Or did the Council fear joining the war would draw out the Sith to join the Mandalorians?" Leo asked him.
Obi-Wan shrugged "Perhaps, the irony is that when Revan and a handful of Padawans joined the Republic anyway and won, Revan and another Jedi named Malak chased the remaining Mandalorians into wild space only to return changed."
"Changed, you mean they had become Sith." Leo said with Obi-Wan knod ding "Many of the Republic forces loyal to them joined Revan and Malak in their war on the Jedi and Republic, named the Jedi Civil war it's a dark part in our orders history one we don't care to teach about when we should."
Leo looked at Revan then at Obi-Wan "So how am I like Revan and not Ulic, besides turning to the dark side?"
The Jedi Knight turned to him "Revan saw that the Mandalorians were a threat the way you saw Count Dooku was, you did what needed to be done without the Councils permission, Ulic was an obedient Jedi, heeded his master's wisdom did as he was told even in the Krath he did what he was told by the Sith, even becoming an apprentice when he could have been the Lord himself if he dared to try." Obi-Wan said, turning to him.
"You weren't afraid to take a chance, you held true to your convictions but not at the expense of others." Obi-Wan said holding his hand up to the base of the statue at the bottom of it Leo could see different people carved into an image below it. In the middle was a hooded Jedi with a lightsaber raised over his head "Revan." Leo said looking at the Jedi at his left was a man in a leather jacket with two blaster pistols, a wookie, a twi'lek girl and astromech droid to the statues right a woman wielding a double bladed lightsaber, an older man holding one and a cathar woman with a lightsaber alongside a battle droid.
Leo looked at them long and hard "Who are these people?"
Obi-Wan shrugged "Most of their names are lost to history, but they were followers, crew, friends, family it didn't matter Revan had their loyalty and they had his."
"Sounds more like Anakin then me." Leo said rising up from the floor.
"Speaking of him, where is he?" Leo asked.
Obi-Wan appeared to become dismissive "The Chancellor insisted he return to Coruscant, Anakin's meeting with him today I've been told."
Kenobi snickered at him "I see so much of him within you, perhaps that's due to how I trained you both." Anakin said looking at the other statues "But we all carry the lessons of former Jedi, one lesson that Revan preached or so we belive was to love everyone good or bad."
"Why would the Council not teach more about him?" Leo asked.
His Master looked at Revan statue "The Council wanted the Jedi to be a symbol of peace, balance and justice… Revan was chaotic, unpredictable, impossible to control." Said Obi-Wan.
Leo snickered at that "Now I see the similarities."
"What I mean is, that we all make our own choices and we have to live with them so do not dwell on the past, it can't be changed only the future can be changed." Obi-Wan tried to explain "But what about destiny?"
Obi-Wan looked at the statues of the other jedi long and hard "Destiny is a word Obi-Wan Leo, we define what it means, you should get some sleep. The Council will arrive first thing in the morning. They'll want to see you." Obi-Wan said before he started to leave the room.
CORUSCANT
Office of the Supreme Chancellor
Back in the Republic Capital, the Supreme Chancellor was slouched in his throne behind his desk, his brow heavy while Anakin was sitting across from him looking for a way to take it away "Anakin, Anakin, Anakin…" The old man said shaking his head "What am I to do? The Jedi have served the Republic since its creation and yet I feel so betrayed." Chancellor Palpatine said looking at him.
"The Jedi are loyal to the Republic, loyal to your excellency." Anakin said across from him "Then why pray tell did they not tell me of this spy, the padawan Leo Rock, I should have been informed about such a dangerous idea in the first place." The Chancellor replied leaning on his desk.
Anakin gave a firm nod "I agree Chancellor, my Master and his padawan acted without the Councils permission or my knowledge what they did was wrong." Anakin replied "It has cost the Republic dearly." The Chancellor asked.
"How can the people see the Republic and the Jedi not working together? I fear the Jedi are losing their way they will need you to keep them on the right path my boy." Palpatine said, rising from his chair and walking over to the window looking out from it.
Anakin got up to walk beside him in the large office. "I do my best, Chancellor, but I fear we disagree on a great deal of many things." Anakin confided.
"I nearly lost my padawan to this spy madness, and Obi-Wan's Padawan was corrupted by the dark side who knows how far." Anakin added shaking his head "You are very close to your padawan, its an admiral quality how much you care for her much like how I care for you Anakin you are… you are like a son to me." The Chancellor replied looking out at the city "I hope to count on you in the days to come."
"Always your excellency." Anakin replied.
The old man smiled at him "That is why I will need your advice on how to best deal with this troubling predicament the Republic has been put in."
"What is your excellency?" Anakin asked him.
The Chancellor locked eyes with Anakin "You said it yourself, the boy has been corrupted. Who's to say he won't do the same to the Republic, to your Padawan?"
"What is it that you want from me, Chancellor ?" Anakin asked him.
SERENITY
Jedi Temple
Leo was sitting on the edge the balcony at the top of the temple looking out across the sky watching the clouds and birds pass by, Oculus was flying up to a birds nest made in the crack of one of the temple's pillars when a bird shot its head out pecking at the droid before it flew back over to him. Leo watched the droid come back over before he resumed his gaze up at the sky with uncertainty. Then he heard footsteps coming up the stairs, gazing over his shoulder he saw the hooded Ahsoka appear from the stairwell.
"What is it with you and staring out into the distance from tall places?" Ahsoka said walking up the stairs "I like the views they give, helps put things in perspective I guess" He answered, Ahsoka leaned on the wall of the tower in the shadow of it while Leo let the golden rays of the sun wash over him.
She crossed her baggy sleeves over her robe's chest "Perspective, so from your perspective what comes now?" She asked.
Leo didn't answer her at first, not with what he used to do when asked such abrupt questions "I've been thinking a lot about that, I'm not a spy, not sure I'm a padawan anymore." He said rubbing the scar of where his padawan braid used to be "Stars am I even a Jedi." He said out loud running his fingers through his hair.
"When you turned on Grievous you said you fought for the Jedi or was that another lie?" Ahsoka asked him "Was everything a lie?"
"I don't know anymore." Leo said looking down at the courtyard, it was empty now just a few birds pecking at the ground for bugs.
Ahsoka watched Leo hunched over on the balcony "What about when you spared Dooku?"
Leo spun his head around "Yeah I saw you, I heard what you said too about how he'd be forgotten and all that stuff about the Republic and Jedi." She said walking toward him.
"Do you believe what you said, believing in the Jedi and Republic?" She asked him, he turned around and got off the balcony "I want to… Ahsoka listen, about Selene I'm so so sorry-"
SLAP
Leo took her slap feeling a red hand print form on his cheek "No" she said making him look at her "You don't get to apologize for her, I know that the Masters teach us there is no death but she didn't have to die because of you, because of me." She said pointing to Leo then to herself.
"Your right, it should have been me." Leo replied sadly before Ahsoka slapped himself again "Stop it, stop doing that, stop trying to be the one who has to take it all, who has to carry all this pain."
Now Leo looked at her confused "I… I can't do this anymore Leo, all these secrets all these lies I thought you- you of all people I could trust now I don't know who to trust, my Master, Master Kenobi not even myself sometimes."
She flung her arms in the air "Stars it's like all those times we fought together didn't even happen, you should have told us Krell betrayed you from the beginning Anakin and I could have helped you." She told him.
"I thought I was doing what was right, protecting you, Anakin and everyone but I got so lost in the lie that I believed it, believed the Sith and the Dark Side were the right way to change things, to make things better." Leo said back to her.
"Make things better, the Sith are evil." Ahsoka responded adamantly "I know that now, I know I shouldn't have been afraid of Obi-Wan on Naboo. I gave into my fear, but I've conquered it now." He told her.
Ahsoka rolled her eyes "Well that makes it all better doesn't it."
"No." Leo snapped "But I want it to, I want to make things better I want them to go back to the way it used to be." He replied unable to look her in the eye, he walked back to the balcony leaning on it.
"How?" Ahsoka asked getting up closer to him, Leo looked down at her being slightly taller, reaching out he took her hand "Even when I had embraced the darkness wanted to hate the Jedi, hate Obi-Wan and Anakin whenever I tried to picture you face I couldn't , couldn't feel the darkness or the hate it all just melted away." He replied.
Ahsoka was confused now "What are you saying?"
"Do you remember when we kissed?" He asked.
"Y-yes?" She asked nervously at what he meant.
He locked eyes with her "I lied I don't- I don't regret it, I never did." He said leaning in toward her. Before anything could happen the sound of a ship's engine flew over, the padawans looked up to see a jedi transport flying overhead. It wasn't the four seater ship that they'd taken to Mortis instead it was a large consular class ship with a wide bridge and three engines in the back when it landed outside the temple Ahsoka took her hand away.
"The Masters have come, you shouldn't keep them waiting." Ahsoka said leaving him on the balcony alone.
Before he could follow her Oculus beeped with an incoming transmission "Put it on Ock."
Oculus projected a small blue Obi-Wan in front of Leo "Leo, the Council and I have arrived."
"I noticed the Master." Leo replied "Wait within your room until we summon you." He ordered Leo watched the ships ramp lower and the Masters come out while the sun set "Yes master." Leo replied before he walked back to his door and went inside.
Later, when the sun had set Leo was sitting on his bed rubbing his hands waiting for the call, waiting looking at his rubbing hands. When he heard a knock on the door he shot up and headed for it Oculus was about to follow him but Leo held up his hand to stop the droid. He opened the door to see Obi-Wan wearing his brown robe with his hood up "There ready for you." Obi-Wan said under his hood.
He followed his Master in what felt like the longest walk of his life, every step down the stairs felt like it was in slow motion, trailing behind Obi-Wan into the courtyard where he saw the Jedi masters were standing. They were all in their robes with their hoods up, there were lanterns hung on the walls and from the great tree in the corner giving them some illumination but other than that all Leo could see were brown robes with shadow overhead hoods. The only one Leo could recognize was Master Yoda who was standing on a rock that had been moved at the entrance of the courtyard, all the Masters forming a circle like they would in the Council Chamber.
He looked behind him to see Obi-Wan had vanished into the circle of Jedi Masters, "Approach Rock." Yoda ordered.
Leo did so standing in the middle hands over his front head bowed "Masters." Leo answered.
"Ready are you, to receive judgment?" Yoda asked him.
"I am." Leo replied calmly.
Up above them in another tower Ahsoka was watching with her hood up, "Ahsoka?"
She turned over to see Anakin approaching her from the shadows, he had on his dark brown robe almost black. "Master, did you arrive with the others?" She asked.
"No, I came separately after meeting with the Chancellor and expressed certain wishes for what's to happen to Leo." Anakin said looking down at the trial.
"But this is a Jedi affair?" Ahsoka asked him "For now, I don't think Leo will be one for much longer." Anakin said disappointedly, "Master?" Ahsoka asked.
Back in the courtyard, Leo heard Master Windu speak with in the ring from one of the hoods "You were accused of killing the Jedi Master Pong Krell before we learned of his true intentions on Umbara, this only increases your chance of guilt when you fled under the pretense to join Count Dooku as his new apprentice when in reality you were spying for the Republic without the consent of this Council."
Leo nodded "I did, but I sought another reason to uncover the identity of a mysterious Sith Lord who is now dead."
"Dead?" The Voice of Luminara asked "Yes Masters, Count Dooku's Sith teacher who he killed as is there way." He answered.
"There way, and you have learned the ways of the Sith?" Plo Koon asked from somewhere in the Masters circle.
Leo answered him quickly "I did, I have learned they are cruel, corrupt and not worthy of a Jedi." Leo said his head still bowed.
"In light of recent events, the Council has learned from Padawan Tano that you stayed behind to fight Count Dooku that gave others a chance to escape and instead of killing him, a death that would have ended the war you spared Count Dooku why?" Master Kit Fitso said from somewhere with his nautolon accent.
Leo opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out "Why do you not answer?" Obi-Wan asked from behind.
"Because Masters I pitied him." Leo confessed "Pitied him, but Count Dooku is our enemy?" Master Secura asked.
The boy frowned looking at the floor unable to look them in the eye "Count Dooku was once a great Jedi, once, but he fell to the darkness with nobody there to save him from himself and in that moment where I could have killed him I'm I saw if I did then the cycle would continue."
"I would take his place as a Sith Lord, I would wage terrible war on the galaxy in the name of the Sith and my own darkness would consume me so I pitied him, apologized that he didn' have anyone to save him from the darkness." Leo replied.
The other Masters looked at one another in silence, before Master Yoda raised his hand "Great trials we all must face, teach us through these trials the force does in agreement this Council is on what is to be done?" Yoda asked them, there were hooded nods from every Mastrer there. Master Yoda nodded holding up his claws to Leo "Come forward, receive the Council's judgment."
Leo walked forward to Master Yoda standing tall "Knees, on them."
He dropped down to knee waiting for their judgment, he closed his eyes when suddenly he heard the sound of a dozen lightsabers igniting. Leo's head shot up eyes open, every Jedi Master had their blue and green, with the exception of purple from Windu held erect pointing to the sky, even Obi-Wan who was standing next to Master Yoda with a smile. Leo's eyes couldn't get any bigger looking at the blades, up on the balcony Anakin and Ahsoka were completely surprised at what was happening.
Leo looked up at Master Yoda holding his green lightsaber aloft, the others lowered their blades while Leo bowed his head in front of Master Yoda saying the words "Leo Rock, by the will of the Council, by the right of the Force." Master Yoda said.
"I dub thee I do Jedi Knight of the Republic." Master Yoda decreed for the whole Council to hear, Leo looked up at him "Rise you may."
But Leo didn't move "I… I am an unworthy Masters, I succumbed to the Darkness within me, betrayed the Republic and the Jedi."
"Faced the darkness within you, lingers still it does within all of us choosing not to follow makes you worthy it does, now rise Sir Leo Rock." Master Yoda told him Leo got to his feet and saw Obi-Wan hold out his lightsaber, Leo reached for the blade and turned it on looking at the white blade. A surge of pride and honor soared over Leo as he held it as a true Jedi Knight.
