Chapter 71
"Breaking news, popular Hollywood actor Tsuraga Ren is spotted having dinner with his co-actress recently engaged Mogami Kyoko in Jones Hotel. Also at the same hotel Fuwa Sho who is Mogami-san's fiancé is spotted with the young singing sensation Nagisa Shinohara leaving the same room together. Is this some affair to remember? Find out more as we try to get some comments from those involved."
Since the incident in the hotel and the news scandal was released in the press, Sho ignored all of Kyoko's calls and efforts of reconciling with him causing distress on Kyoko who forces a smile when she's working, that didn't go amiss by Ren when they were shooting in a studio for their movie Remember Me. After Kyoko's scene was done, Ren followed her back to the backstage.
"Mogami-san, is this about what happened a few days ago?" He asked taking a seat beside her.
"Yes, Sho hates me for what happened, he misunderstood things and he's busying himself with the young girl named Nagi. You happy now?! She said while trying to hold back tears.
"Why would I be happy if you are sad? I want to win you back but not through this. I'll talk to Fuwa about this." Ren said and left to find Sho and have a word with him.
"Wait Tsuruga-san." Kyoko called and grabbed his arm to stop him. "You shouldn't bother talking to him for me, he's just upset that's why he's like this. I'll just wait until he wants to talk with me. "
"But-"
"Please." Kyoko pleaded, she wants to resolve her own problems by herself and not ask a favour with Ren.
"There you are the director is looking all over for the two of you." Kira called smirking when he saw the situation Ren and Kyoko are.
Kyoko instantly removes her hand from Ren's arm and walks ahead.
Kira was about to say something but Ren glared at him, he doesn't want to deal with Kira's teasing for now.
Purposely ignoring Kyoko was never Sho's intention and even though he wants nothing but for them to return things back to normal, he wants her to realize first how much he was hurt by her.
"So how's the recording doing?" Shoko asked as she seats beside her talent who's resting comfortably in a couch inside his home studio.
"Fine, were just wrapping things."
"I see, you seem to be not talking with Kyoko lately is there anything wrong?"
"No, I just don't want to be distracted while doing this besides she's busy working on her first Hollywood movie." answered truthfully, he doesn't want Kyoko to know anything about his new album which will be release at their wedding day.
"Hi there Sho-san, Shoko-san." Nagi greeted cheerfully.
"Hi Nagi-chan." Shoko greeted with a smile.
"Sho-san the producer wants us to start recording in a different beat. He said he wants to try something if you want."
"Different beat? Sure let's do this, I'll talk to you later." Sho said to Shoko and left with Nagi back to the music room.
The director and the executive director called on the stars of Remember Me to discuss about their shooting in a secluded island for the war scenes and the village scenes where Ren's character and Emiko's character will meet again after being separated.
"The island is somewhere off the east coast and travelling there takes time and the number of available transportation is limited. That is why the production team and Director Cameron decided for the cast and crew to stay in the island until the scenes needed to be shot are done." The executive producer explained.
"I'll be staying away from Sho? But why now?" Kyoko asked to herself looking worried that she'll be away from Sho just when they still have a misunderstanding that needs to be fixed.
Both Kira and Emiko glances a look at Ren knowing he'll make use of this opportunity to be closer to Kyoko.
However Ren is not thinking as such for he wants to fix Kyoko's problem with Sho and not win her heart because she's vulnerable.
Done with his scenes for the day, Ren went to Queen Records late that night to talk with Sho. He just got out of his car when he saw him walking out of the elevator with his manager and the girl he was with at the hotel.
The moment their eyes met a glaring match between the two handsome men began causing the temperature to rise at the already warm parking lot.
"Tsuruga-san it's a surprise to see you here." Shoko greeted.
"Tsuruga-san you mean the popular Tsuruga Ren?" Nagi asked in disbelief she's feeling so lucky to be able to, everyone in the world knows him because of his popular multi awarded movies.
"Stop squealing like a fan girl." Sho reprimanded and told his manager to go on ahead with Nagi.
"What do you want?" Sho asked glaring at the taller man.
"Kyoko's been crying because of what happened that could affect her work."
Sho scoffed, "Isn't this what you've been waiting for?"
Ren towered over Sho his aura darkening, "Unlike you I am not an opportunist, and I will win her fairly. Talk to her and explain whatever the deal is between you and Shinohara."
"Not an opportunist? Aren't you working in a sly while the fiancé's away the sly Cheshirecat will play?" Sho emphasizing every single word he says. "Don't be a hypocrite Tsuruga Ren."
"That's beside the point." He said (but not denying the fact that he's indeed working in a sly), "Talk to Kyoko about this don't give her a hard time…"
The blonde walks away towards his car until he decided to stop to say one thing to Ren, "I don't want to hear any lecture from you who's trying to steal someone else's girl."
"Stealing? So what if I steal her away she's mine from the very beginning."
"But she's mine now."
"For the time being."
"Yeah let's see." Sho said hopping inside his car.
When Sho returned home he saw Kyoko by his doorway waiting for him shivering at the cold night winds. Immediately he removed his jacket and wrapped it around her rubbing her arms to warm her.
"You should have not waited for me dummy." He said softly and embraced her, he's afraid of losing her of hurting her that's why he's punishing her by ignoring her attempts on reconciliation.
"I'm sorry Sho." Kyoko said and hugged him back crying at his shoulder.
Upon entering his home he brewed coffee for him and Kyoko.
"I-"
"You don't have to explain anything so am I." He cut her off before Kyoko could say something.
"Actually one of the reasons why I wanted to talk to you is because I'm staying out for a while." Kyoko said drinking her coffee.
"Why where will you go?"
"Our movie will be shooting on a secluded island."
"How long?"
"A week or more depending on how fast we can finish the scenes needed to be filmed." Kyoko said looking at her coffee mug, she doesn't want to look at the face of Sho in anger again.
Sho massaged his temples. "This is like Sakura Love again, where she'll be shooting with Ren in a far place but I have nothing to worry for Kyoko now loves me not him."
"Sho?"
"Yes it's alright, I will be leaving Tokyo also for a MV shoot. After we return to Tokyo we can prepare for our wedding." He said looking calm.
Kyoko's face light up at this that she flung herself towards Sho wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I love you Sho and that will never change not even Tsuruga-san can make me change my feelings." Kyoko said blushing at the close distance of their lips.
Sho cut the distance and kissed her pouring his love for her through his kiss.
"Aren't you tired yet?" Kira asked while seating in a bench watching Ren swinging his bat at the pitching machine inside Jingu Baseball Stadium hitting every ball with his bat.
Ren ignored him and just focused on swinging putting his feelings at it.
"Whatever, if you are not yet tired then stay. I will not tire myself watching you hit every ball this stadium has!" Kira screamed and was about to leave but his sister Emiko arrive bringing beers and snacks for the two men.
"Will you still leave?" Emiko smiled and gave the beers to Kira.
"Nah" Kira said as he returned to where he was sitting before and opened a can of beer. "Ren's at it again, I mean how can he take it watching the girl he loves in another man's arms and still hope that somehow things will change."
"He's been through a lot and that girl Kyoko is everything for him. That's why he can't give up even if he's already beaten to begin with." Emiko said admiring Ren's perseverance and determination.
"I will never understand love." Kira sighs deeply.
Hitting the last ball, Ren tossed his bat and cap aside and joined his two friends at the bench.
"Finally!" Kira exclaimed and handed him a can of beer.
"I hate myself." He said and drank his beer in one gulp.
"Don't worry Ren, you have Kyoko in the island alone without Sho I'm sure you can win her there besides aren't they having a misunderstanding now?" Kira said trying to lift his friend's spirits up.
"No, I talked with Sho earlier tonight that he must reconcile with Kyoko."
