Chapter 79
"You are the Tsuruga Ren and every director and producer wants you on their movie and yet here you are in your penthouse room sulking drinking strong liquor numbing your pain away." Emiko said concernedly with Ren's constant drinking every night after the filming of the movie Remember Me wrapped up.
"Rick didn't save your life to be like this." Emiko said hitting a nerve on'. Ren whose aura changed into dark, his dark Kuon personality.
"Just leave me Emiko." He warned in controlled anger, hearing Rick's name from Emiko awakens buried painful memories inside him.
Emiko was about to apologize for mentioning Rick's name but Shien stopped her and asked her to leave her alone with Ren.
"Are you sure, he's unstable when he's like that." Emiko said worriedly, she had personal encounter with Ren's dark personality in the past and when he's like that things tend to get ugly.
"I'll just talk some sense to him don't worry I'm sure he won't harm me." Shien said smiling.
Emiko nods and drags Kira away who is busy playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt inside Ren's entertainment room.
"I'm still playing you know." Kira said pouting he hates it when he's playing time is disrupted.
Emiko's glare did the trick that the handsome Kira followed her sister outside like a kind puppy following its master.
When everyone left, Shien sighed and grabbed the bottle of liquor Ren was drinking and took a swig of it that surprised him.
After drinking she placed the bottle beside her and said, "Surprised that a sexy petite girl like me can drink straight up?"
Ren just raised an eyebrow.
"Is this still about Kyoko-chan?" She asked as she pours some of the drink to her glass.
He didn't need to answer, Shien knows him too well now.
Shien crosses her legs and points a finger at Ren, "You hypocrite! Didn't you tell me you are alright with Kyoko-chan going to Sho and that you don't care about her anymore? Then why are you doing this?!"
Out of anger Ren tosses his glass at the wall breaking it into tiny pieces and raised himself up from the couch, "What do you want me to do Shien, I did everything I can but it still failed and backfired on me! Kyoko still found out about us being siblings and she hates me because I fell in love with her with my sister!"
Ren was about to leave but Shien stopped him by embracing him. Shien can feel the pain Ren was feeling at the moment when she was falsely believed that the man she loves was his half-brother, "I'm sorry…"
"You look beautiful in your wedding dress Kyoko." Jelly said proudly looking at her creation.
"Yeah." Kyoko replied lacking the excitement she should be expressing in her dress rehearsal for the wedding.
Jelly sighs, "Why that look on your face are you not excited for your own wedding?"
Kyoko face lights up at the comment and answers rather quickly, "I am excited…maybe I am just feeling nervous that's all."
"Shall we continue this for another day?"
"Yes…I'm sorry for this." Kyoko bowed and apologized for wasting Jelly Woods time.
Jelly just smiled at her "It is alright, come let me help you out of your dress."
Kyoko stared at her face in the mirror after she's done with changing back to her casual clothes thinking, "Why am I feeling like this?" She face palm herself for thinking such an idea, "Stupid Kyoko you love Sho you even proposed to him you should not be thinking about your "brother".
Ren drives Shien to the studio of Jelly Woods for her own wedding dress rehearsal.
"Thank you for doing this for me Ren." Shien said.
Ren who is wearing an elegant black suit seating in a chair looking how beautiful Shien is in her wedding gown smiled for her, "Michael should be the one here looking at you in that dress."
"That is bad luck Ren for a groom to see his bride to be in her wedding dress before their wedding day, besides he's busy with his hotels."
Kyoko was walking back to LME studios which are near Jelly's Studio when he saw a tall light brown haired man holding a pamphlet tourists usually hold into when visiting Japan looking lost, with the way he is scratching his hair looking back and forth to the pamphlet he is holding and the kanji written street sign.
"Excuse me are you lost or having trouble searching for the place you want to go?" Kyoko asked in (Not perfect) English but enough to communicate with the man.
Michael blinks surprised that a Japanese girl can speak English even if it's not that fluent, "Yes. Thank god someone I can speak to…can you please give me direction where I could find this place?" he asked showing her the place marked in the map. "Oh anyway sorry for being rude my name is Michael Jones and you?" the handsome man asked with a perfect close up smile on his face.
"Ah my name is Kyoko…" Kyoko looks at the map Michael was holding and read it, "I know this place I just came from here come follow me."
Michael followed Kyoko to Jelly Woods Studio.
"Thank you for your help, I will introduce you to my fiancée follow me and tell her you helped me." Michael said smiling.
Kyoko was about to decline for she must go to her home studio for a contract signing but Michael insisted her and even drag her inside.
When Michael opened the one sided glass door open Kyoko immediately saw Ren and Shien who are both casually talking with Jelly.
"Michael?" Shien asked smiling surprised to see her fiancé.
"Yes dear this girl here helped me find this place." Michael said smiling back at Shien and pushed Kyoko forward for her to be in Ren, Shien and Jelly's view.
"Kyoko-chan…" Shien greeted happily.
However Ren was not as happy as Shien and he abruptly left not wanting to see Kyoko again and let his heart broke into pieces again.
"What's with him?" Michael asked having no idea whatsoever what is happening.
Kyoko just remained standing still thinking if she should follow Ren and apologize for her cruel words the last time they met and to properly say goodbye to him.
Shien walks towards Kyoko and places her hands on her shoulders, "You may not see him again after this are you just going to let him leave like this?"
Without any more time wasting, Kyoko sprinted out to catch up to Ren.
With his long legs walking briskly towards the other side of the road did not took much of his time but before he could safely cross the street, he heard his name being called by Kyoko and stopped at the middle island.
"Ren, wait please listen to me first!" Kyoko called and said on the other side of the road.
"What for, I heard enough from you already." He said rather coldly and continued to walk towards the parking lot. With his mind a blurry and his heart hurting at just the sight of Kyoko he didn't notice a speeding SUV that hit him.
When the SUV hit Ren Kyoko's lost memories flashed through her eyes and mind from Sho breaking her heart, her friendship/mentor and her true love for Ren and the relationship they have until the time he left her and her car accident that caused her to lose her memories.
With too much memory coming at her mind she called him and collapsed on the road, "Ren-kun"
"How is she is she alright?" The panicked concerned voice of Sho asked the doctor who is tending to Kyoko. He was immediately called while rehearsing in his studio that Kyoko collapsed on the road and brought to a nearby hospital.
"Yes, she just fainted that's all. You can now take her home she's in the emergency room resting." The doctor said and left to attend to the other patients.
"I was worried so much when someone from the hospital called me." Sho said embracing Kyoko.
"I'm fine don't worry, just a scratch." Kyoko said not embracing Sho back.
"Let's go back to my home."
Kyoko refused, "Can you just drop me at my place, I would like to rest alone and not bother you."
Sho did not inquire anymore questions but he can feel that something is different with her.
After Sho drove her home she took a shower and thought about the things that happened the first time she woke up from the hospital earlier.
"Ren-kun." Kyoko gasped calling Ren and forced herself up from the bed to look for him.
"Excuse me miss where are you going?" A nurse asked when she saw Kyoko got out of her bed.
"Ren…I need to see him is he alright?"
"The doctors are working on him right now, you can't see him."
"But I…I need to talk to him I need to explain everything." Kyoko said crying and pleading with the nurse.
"I'm sorry but you can't he's in the operating room now."
"Bring me to him I'm begging you."
Kyoko tried to escape from the nurse who is holding her back trying to escape her hold on her but before she could escape an injection of a calming medicine was injected to her forcing her to sleep.
"Ren-kun…"
