Chapter 83

This is going to be a long night

Kyoko was speechless and remained still for sometime that caused a slight crease to show on Ren's handsome face. Why is she not saying anything?

"Kyoko you are supposed to say something." Ren said with a worry look on his face, but what Kyoko next did surprised him for she tackled him on the ground and started kissing him catching him off guard.

Ren and Kyoko were about to enter Ren's car to return to Tokyo when they saw a familiar face waiting for them, it that surprised the two of them it was Kyoko's mother Saena.

Ren bowed to his future mother in law in respect.

"Mother...I" Kyoko was about to say something worried that her mother will say something that she's against them but before she could even say a word her mother cut her off.

"Sho's parents told me that you are around so I came here to see you and I can see that he is also here." Saena said looking to both Ren and Kyoko.

Kyoko wanted to say something to her mother but Ren just held her hand to stop her and let her mother continue.

"I was actually looking forward to see you two I have so many things to say so many things to consider... I have been a terrible mother to you Kyoko. All my life I blamed you for the sins of my past and the misery of my life. I know I don't deserve to be forgiven but I would like to ask for forgiveness from the two of you and all the people I lied and hurt to." Saena said with tears and sincerity in her voice. Kyoko cover her mouth with her hand to stop herself from crying out but her tears betrayed her as her tears started to fall off her cheek like a river.

Kyoko jump to her mother and embrace her, "I have forgiven you a long time ago mother." She said to her mother's ear it feels so good to be able to hold her in her arms after so long.

"You are always a forgiving and loving child my dear and I am a fool to not see it for so long."

Ren smiled and said, "Mogami-san, I would like to ask for you blessing to marry your daughter."

"Of course, I will gladly give my blessing. I will also like to ask for forgiveness from your parents for hurting them with my lie especially to Kuu they don't deserve it."

"My parents are forgiving people Mogami-san I am sure they have already forgiven you.."

With the heavy burden lifted from Kyoko's heart for reconciling with her mother she knew everything will turn great from now on, especially with Ren by her side.

"YES, DUNK THAT IN KAGAMI!" Kyoko cheered loudly from the courtside. For Ren's engagement gift he flew her out of Japan and treated her to watch an LA Knights game against the GS Warriors.

"Kyoko, your voice will be hoarse if you continue to yell like that." Ren said trying to pipe his fiancee down of her excitement he couldn't help to smile fondly though seeing her happy is worth it. He had brought her closer to her idol.

"Sorry, I'm just really really happy I'm only watching Kagami play on TV and now I'm watching him live! Thank you so much Ren!" she said leaning in to give a peck on Ren's lips and then quickly turning her attention back to the game. "He's sooo cool!" From the sidelines Ren couldn't help but to chuckle to his companion's antics. She's really cute.

After the game Kagami who is also player of the game invited Ren and Kyoko backstage to congratulate the two of them personally for their engagement.

"Congratulations Kuon, never thought you will tie the knot so soon." Kagami said placing his arm around Ren's shoulder.

Ren just smiled at his friend, "Well what can I say I can't wait to marry the girl I love..." he said fondly, "By the way if I'm not mistaken I remember you were dating Kouki before are you two still dating?" he asked as he recall the first time he met his red haired friend he's with his girlfriend.

"Yeah.." Kagami nodded, "We're still dating and going strong." The red head said with a grin.

"How long are you two dating again?" Ren asked

"Well since our first year in highschool like... seven years!" Kagami said proudly.

"And until now you still haven't pop the question."

"I pity Kouki."

"Shut up.." Kagami said while playfully hitting Ren on his shoulder. "I am popping the question I'm just waiting for the ring to be delivered to me you ass and by the way you are invited to my wedding too you know."

Kyoko who's been cheering loudly earlier during the game for Kagami being his number one fan was shocked and speechless to see her fiance so close to her favorite player.

Ren who noticed it called her attention, "Kyoko are you alright? You've been cheering non stop earlier and now in Front of Kagami you are suddenly quiet."

Kyoko squeaked as the two men suddenly turned their attention to her.

"I am just surprised to see you in person Kagami-san, I am your number one fan." Kyoko said while bowing to her idol.

"Uh hey is she alright?" Kagami asked Ren worriedly.

"Yes, she's fine I got her." Ren said holding Kyoko close to his chest.

"Oh, by the way, as an early wedding present seeing the two of you came all the way here to L.A to see me play, how about I give you the keys to my lakeside villa at Lake Tahoe you two can stay there as long as you please." Kagami offered.

"Yes, Kyoko and I would love that Taiga." Ren said accepting the red head's offer.

"Anyway I might be too late to ask this but are you sure Kyoko's alright? And is it alright to you that your girl fainted from another man's touch?" Kagami asked with a laugh as he signed an extra jersey of his that he will give to Kyoko as a souvenir.

"I'm fine with it much worse happened in our relationship for me to be affected by this and besides I know you so I don't have anything to worry about." Ren said proudly knowing that Kyoko's heart only belongs to him and no one else.

Kagami nodded and handed the signed jersey just in time when Kyoko regained consciousness.

"I am so sorry for fainting like that, it's just that-"

"Everything's alright Kyoko...anyway here take this as a souvenir." Kagami said as he hand his signed jersey over to Kyoko.

"Thank you Kagami-san!" Kyoko said excitedly hugging the jersey close to his chest like it just become her tresure.

"By the way Ren let's have dinner sometime soon I'll bring Kouki as well."

"Yes of course anytime just call me ahead of time." Ren watch Kagami as he start searching something inside his locker. "Here..." Kagami said as he toss something at Ren who catches it with ease. The raven turn to look at his palm to see a silver custom made basketball shape key. Ren shakes his head as he chuckle. His friend really is a basketball junkie.
