Tatsuya and Miyuki take Sonic and Tails to their place for the night.

Sonic: Thanks for letting us stay here, guys. We don't have anywhere to live right now and we got no money.

Miyuki: You're welcome. We're glad we could help you.

Tails: So magic? Is that what you guys use around here?

Tatsuya: In 2045, there's been a fight for food and resources. Because of that, World War 3 officially began.

Sonic and Tails: What?!

Tails: So in this dimension, a World War 3 actually happened?

Miyuki: Yes. It ended in 2064. And the International Magic Association was successful in preventing the use of nuclear weapons, with no exchanges ever since.

Sonic: I just can't believe it. A third world war actually happened here.

Tails: It's good that no nuclear weapons were used that's to that International Magic Association.

Tatsuya: There are nine National Magic University Affiliated High Schools here in Japan. They are each established High Schools for Magicians to practice the use of modern magic. Me, Miyuki and our friends are in First High School. Miyuki is in Course 1 and I am in Course 2.

Tails: Man. Technology has become so advanced here. And now people are using magic to fight.

Sonic: I gotta say, this sounds cool.

Miyuki: I'll go and make dinner.

Miyuki makes a beef stew for dinner. She serves it to everyone and they all go and eat.

Tails: Wow. This stuff is delicious.

Sonic: Yeah. You'd make a great cooking rival for Asuna, that's for sure.

Miyuki: Asuna?

Sonic: Yeah. She's a friend from Japan in our world. Her cooking is really awesome. So is yours that I think you two would be great rivals.

Tails: You said it.

The young sibling blushes.

Miyuki: You really think so? Thank you.

The next day, Miyuki and Tatsuya take Sonic and Tails to their school.

Student 1: Isn't that the hedgehog and fox that appeared yesterday?

Student 2: What are they doing with Shiba?

Student 3: I dunno. But they look pretty cool and cute. Didn't they come from some dimensional portal or something?

Sonic: We're certainly drawing a lot of attention here.

Tails: It's pretty natural since we're not from this world. On the bright side, Tatsuya and his friends agreed to help out. We kind of need all the help we can get so we can go back to our world.

Sonic: You're right. Hey, where are we heading to?

Tatsuya: We're meeting with the Student Council and Public Morals Committee to discuss the current situation. I'm sure they'll agree to assist.

Sonic: Oh.

Everybody in the Student Council and Public Morals Committee takes a seat. Almost all of them are taking an awkward look at Sonic and Tails.

Tails: Things just got awkward pretty fast.

Sonic: Yeah.

Mari: Ahem. We shall begin with the introductions. I am Mari Watanabe of the Public Morals Committee. This is Mayumi Saegusa.

Mayumi: It's nice to meet you.

Mari: Suzune Ichihara.

Suzune: Hello.

Mari: And Azusa Nakajou. Or as we like to call her, A-Chan.

Azusa: Ah! Don't tell them that, Mari! It's embarrassing!

Mari: Oh calm down. It's a cute nickname.

Hattori: I'm Hattori Gyoubushoujo Hanzou.

Midori: I'm Midori Sawaki from Class 3-D.

Kanon: Kanon Chiyoda. Nice to meet you.

Okada: I am Okada.

Shun: Shun Morisaki. Class 1-A.

Mari: You've already met some of our members, it seems. Do you care to introduce yourselves to us?

Sonic: Uh, I'm Sonic the Hedgehog.

Tails: And I'm Tails.

Mari: Sonic and Tails. It's nice to meet you both. Now can you both tell me how it's possible that a blue hedgehog and 2-tailed fox suddenly appeared in the middle of the city?

They tell them about Dr. Robotnik and the fact that he sent them to that dimension. They still remain unsure of what Eggman has planned.

Mari: I see. You seem to be in a bind, then.

Hattori: I'm pretty skeptical about all of this. Especially of the part that you two are from another dimension. I honestly can't tell if you're telling the truth or not.

Shun: I agree. What if they're aliens trying to invade us?

Sonic: What do you think this is? The movies?

Mayumi: Everyone, calm down. It's not a good thing to treat people like monsters even if they're from another world.

Midori: I agree. They don't seem hostile, so I'm okay with them.

Mari: So you two are trying to get back to your world, right?

Tails: Yeah. We have to go back home so we can stop Eggman. I don't know what he's got planned, but we don't plan to wait long enough to find out.

Sonic: Even if he's got his plan set in motion, it's just gonna be the same thing as always since he's a total noob.

Tails: I know, but I'm kind of concerned about his new friend. Cinder was her name, right?

Sonic: Yeah. But I'm sure we can take her.

Mari: We'll do what we can to help you get back to your world.

Tails: We need to work on building a machine that can take us back home. I'll try to come up with blueprints for a dimensionator. Then, I'll need a few people to help me put the parts together.

Sonic: I'm no engineer, but I'll try and get some parts for you.

Tatsuya: I'll help you build the device, Tails.

Mikihiko: So will I. If it's to get you back home.

Tails: Thanks guys.

Mari: I hope that we'll get along well while you two are here.

Sonic: Likewise.

Sonic and Tails meet with everybody and start getting to know them better. Very soon, they start forming friendships with Tatsuya and his friends, along with many other students.

Sonic: I gotta say. All this magic stuff you guys do is really cool.

Miyuki: It is pretty fantastic. There are many different types of magic as well. That includes modern, spirit, and ancient magic.

Erika: Miki happens to focus on spirit magic.

Mikihiko: Will you stop calling me Miki?! It's Mikihiko! But yeah. I'm an expert on ancient magic.

Honoka: You don't have magic like this in your world, do you?

Tails: No. We've never even heard of this stuff until we got to this world.

Erika: Do you guys have some kind of special abilities?

Tails: We sure do! Look what I can do.

Tails starts spinning his 2 tails, and takes off into the air.

Erika: Woah!

Leo: That's amazing.

Miyuki: Tails can fly by using his 2 tails like propellers?

Sonic: Yep. He's also a really good pilot. I always let him fly our airplane, the Tornado.

Tails lands back down on the ground.

Honoka: What about you, Sonic? Do you have any special abilities?

Sonic: Heh. I sure do.

Tails: Wait til you see what he can do. It's absolutely cool.

Sonic: You guys have a jogging track?

Everybody heads down to the jogging track, empty as of right now. Sonic heads over to the starting line.

Mizuki: Hmm...

Erika: What is it?

Mizuki: How is the jogging track going to do anything?

Tails: Just wait and see. You'll see why he's called Sonic.

Sonic gets ready to run. He starts charging up his super peel out.

Tatsuya: Hmm...

A few seconds later, he unleashes his super peel out and starts running extremely fast around the track. This starts drawing the attention of other students.

Student 1: Woah! Check out Sonic!

Student 2: He's so fast! Is that some kind of magic ability he has?

Student 3: It doesn't seem to be.

Leo: Now I see why his name is Sonic.

Mikihiko: Nobody's ever gone that fast before. How does he do it?

Members of the Student Council and Public Morals Committee start seeing this as well.

Mayumi: Isn't that Sonic?

Mari: Oh boy. I didn't think that hedgehog would be a showoff.

Azusa: I'm not detecting any kind of spell being cast. It must be something unique of him.

Kanon: I've never seen such speed.

Everybody starts looking surprised of the amount of fast laps he's running. After 500 laps, he stops running, and bows down to the audience. All the students shout and clap their hands for Sonic's grand performance in the jogging track.

Erika: Wow! That was awesome, Sonic!

Honoka: You were so fast that our eyes couldn't keep up with you!

Tatsuya: It's surprising. I've never seen anyone run at such a fast speed before.

Miyuki: He moved faster than the speed of sound. Sonic's incredible.

Tails: That's what makes him so awesome. He's my best friend, and he's the fastest thing alive.

Mizuki: How are you able to run so fast?

Sonic: I dunno. It's just something unique I have aside from curling like a ball and spinning around the world.

Tatsuya and Miyuki look with a smile, admiring how amazing the blue hero is.
