At the school lab, Tails takes out his plans for a Dimensionator and reveals them to Tatsuya.

Tatsuya: We're going to need a quantum energy cube if we're going to succeed.

Tails: Those things are very expensive. But it's the only way me and Sonic can get back home.

Tatsuya: I will take care of that. For now, let's focus on putting everything else together.

Tails: Right.

They start working on putting things together. A while later, a woman walks in to greet Tatsuya.

Tatsuya: Miss Fujibayashi.

Kyouko: Hello Tatsuya. I've heard word about a... cartoon hedgehog and fox appearing out of nowhere in the city? There are people raising concerns about that.

Tails: Uh, hi.

Kyouko: What?!

Tatsuya: There's nothing to be alarmed about. They're both friends.

Kyouko: Hmm. He doesn't seem to be a machine.

Tails: Uh, of course I'm not. I'm a fox.

The curious Kyouko investigates the fox.

Kyouko: Fluffy foxy ears... Two tails... Interesting. Very cute as well.

Tails: H-Hey! Stop that! I'm not an experiment or a stuffed animal!

Kyouko: Sorry. I couldn't resist because you just looked too adorable. My name is Kyouko Fujibayashi. I'm a friend if Shiba's.

Tails: I'm Tails. And basically, me and Tatsuya are working on a machine that can take me and my friend Sonic back home.

Kyouko: Sonic? You mean the hedgehog that appeared with you?

Tails: Yeah. We're from another dimension, and there are problems we have to deal with back there.

Kyouko: Another dimension? That explains a lot. Where's your friend now?

Tails: He's hanging out with Erika right now. Apparently she asked him out for a day.

Kyouko: Wow.

Tails: I know. If Amy was here, Sonic would be dead.

Kyouko: Oh, and he's got a girlfriend too? That's a big plot twist.

Tails: Kinda.

People started getting to know Sonic and Tails better since they've been in that world for a few days now. Some folks around the country raised suspicions since they're from another dimension, but others thought of them as good people.

Sonic: So where are we stopping first?

Erika: We're gonna do some clothes shopping. I need an honest mans opinion.

Sonic: Wait. You want my opinion?

Erika: Yeah. I just want an opinion, that's all. You up for it?

Sonic: I guess?

Sonic and Erika go clothes shopping. Though Sonic himself didn't feel comfortable about being in a lady's section with him being the only guy.

Sonic: (Man. I wish Tails was here, but he's working on that machine with Tatsuya.)

Teenage Girl A: Hey. That's the cartoon hedgehog that people have been talking about, right?

Teenage Girl B: Wow. It is. And he's on a date with that red haired girl. Is she a first high student?

Sonic: I'm definitely drawing attention.

Erika: Aww you'll be okay.

So then Erika heads to the changing rooms to try on a red dress and walks out to show it to Sonic.

Erika: So? How to I look?

Sonic: Uh, you look great.

Erika: You don't seem excited.

Sonic: Well, this is the first time I've gone clothes shopping with a girl.

Erika: Didn't you and Amy go shopping together?

Sonic: All we ever do is watch movies and have lunch.

Erika: Oh.

Two girls walk up to Sonic and start petting him.

Teenage Girl C: Wow! He's so cute and fluffy!

Teenage Girl D: I know!

Sonic: Woah! Woah woah! What are you doing?!

Erika: They're admiring you! You're so cute!

Erika joins in.

Sonic: Come on! I'm not cute! I'm cool! Also, I'm not a stuffed animal!

They pinch his cheek too.

Erika: With chubby cheeks.

Sonic: Stop it!

Once they were done and finished paying for their stuff, they walk out. Erika walks out with a shopping bag, and Sonic walks out wearing a SEGA hoodie.

Erika: You're looking pretty fly.

Sonic: That's what I am.

Erika: So what's your favorite food.

Sonic: Oh that's an easy question.

They go and get chili dogs.

Sonic: THIS is my favorite food.

Erika: I never would have guessed. Haha.

Sonic: Me and Tails would always get chili dogs. They're so good.

Erika: I can tell. Haha.

?: You two seem to be having a good time.

Sonic: Huh?

Miyuki walks up to them.

Sonic: Oh hey Miyuki.

Erika: What's up?

Miyuki: I was getting some refreshments for Tails and Big Brother. They're going to need to stay hydrated since they're working on a big machine like that. I like your hoodie by the way, Sonic.

Sonic: Oh thanks. It's pretty cool if you ask me. And yeah. Gotta make sure the engineers stay healthy.

Everyone: Ahhhh!

?: Hand over the money!

They see what appears to be a thug attempting to rob a shop with a rifle.

Thug: Hand them over and nobody gets hurt!

Miyuki and Erika take out their CADS, but Sonic stops them.

Sonic: Don't worry. I got this.

The blue hedgehog runs really fast right behind him. He taps the thugs back.

Thug: Huh? What the heck? You some kind of cartoon hedgehog or something?

Sonic: You got a problem with cartoon?

The thug points his rifle at Sonic and shoots at him.

Thug: Hah! You can't beat...

He's not there.

Thug: What?! Where'd you go?!

Sonic: Behind you.

Thug: What?!

He looks behind him and he's not there.

Thug: This some kind of game?! Where are you?!

Sonic: Comin at you at full speed!

Sonic uses his spin dash to knock the thug down.

Thug: Why you!

He points his rifle at the hedgehog, but with his fast reaction time, Sonic kicks the rifle out of his hands.

Sonic: Nope! You're down!

Authorities take the thug in.

Store Clerk: Thank you so much. I don't think you're a bad person after all.

Sonic: I'm just a nice guy that helps out when I see trouble.

Erika: That was awesome.

Miyuki: It looked really funny but you beat him. Well done.

Sonic: Aww shucks.

After Erika heads back home, Sonic and Miyuki head over to the school lab to check on Tatsuya and Tails.

Sonic: So how's it going with the machine?

Tails: So far so good. There are still a few more parts left to put in, and then we need a quantum energy cube. Woah! Nice hoodie, Sonic!

Sonic: Thanks. I got it when I went shopping with Erika.

Tails: Nice.

Miyuki: We brought refreshments for you both.

Tatsuya: Thank you, Miyuki.

Tails: Thanks. So what did you guys do today?

Sonic: Me and Erika did some shopping, grabbed a bite to eat, ran into Miyuki, and I beat a thug that tried to rob a store.

Tails: Cool.

Tatsuya: We should be finished with everything else very soon. Then, all we need left is the quantum energy cube. They're expensive, but I know where to get one.

Sonic: Well, then we'll leave that to you Tatsuya.

Miyuki: But when you two head back to your dimension, will we be able to see you again?

Tails: Of course. We have the dimensionator here so we can see each other any time we want.

Sonic: Yeah. And maybe when you guys come on over, we can show you guys around South Island.

Tatsuya: That would be great, Sonic.

Miyuki: We'd love to see what your world is like.

Sonic: But we gotta worry about this first, stop Eggman, and take back South Island. So let's hurry and get this finished up.
