Chapter 1:The Ultimate Authority

No matter what.
He had died 3x now and every single one of those deaths was just as painful and gruesome as the last one but it wouldn't falter him, he would defeat the bowel hunter, get the insignia back and save Emilia, Felt and Rom.
And for the first time he was so close to doing it, so close to achieving it, it seemed like a dream. Reinhard had arrived to save him and Emilia before finally defeating the sadistic demon known as Elsa Granheirt but unfortunately for him most things didn't go his way.
"Get out the way" he shouted before pushing the slim girl away from the approaching blade and readying himself for combat. He looked around for anything that could stop the incoming blade, anything, anything, anything would work but he found none, he could only accept the cold hard truth called fate. Until…
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki"
What bravery, what selflessness, Reinhard had watched this whole event go down without even doing a thing, he was truly useless, he had failed to get there in time, he had failed to defeat Elsa, had nearly failed to save a royal candidate and was about to fail saving a boy with a heroes heart even greater than his.
This boy risked his life for what seemed to be a girl he barely even knew, a girl that most would be afraid to even look at and a girl who had more importance in this country than anyone else.
He was too late to do anything now, even he wasn't fast enough to stop the blade from slicing up the boy's bowels, the boy would die a gruesome and painful death.
Until…..
A loud voice was heard throughout the whole slums.
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki"
This single boy had saved her life but at the cost of his own, who was this boy, why did he save her, he didn't owe her anything, let alone his life, if he died she would forever feel this strange guilt.
A kind stranger, one even kinder than she will ever be.
"Nooo" she squealed as she watched the approaching blade hit her saviour, she didn't know if she could heal him or not but if the cut was too deep then there would be no hope.
All she could do was pray for a miracle, pray to a god, pray on the stars, pray on anything to save this boy, she couldn't let this kindness go to waste, she would not allow it.
But luckily for her, her prayers had been answered…
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki"
Felt had seen enough, why did this all have to happen to her, all she wanted was to leave, to leave and never come back, she hated the slums, she wasn't like everyone here.
She was special.
Or was she.
She thought she was independent but she always had to rely on Old Man Rom, she thought she would never need anymore help, let alone saving.
But today she had been saved not once but twice, by a strange boy who cared about her as if they had some type of close relationship and by a red haired knight whom she held great animosity for.
He was the sword saint, he must have lived in great luxury his entire life, he would have had to eat fancy food with rich nobles and famous politicians.
He lived a life she would forever envy, the nobles don't care about the poor.
Yet this one undoubtedly did.
She was confused, she had never had a buyer try to kill her before but this one didn't even think twice before trying it, she had hid behind Old Man Rom and because of that she had seen him get terribly injured and no he was being healed by the one she had wronged.
She was so confused and that confusion was only amplified by the most fearsome voice she had ever heard…
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki"
"This damn boy", he had ruined her plans far too many times today, it was a very simple order.
A girl would steal an insignia, she would buy it off that girl and give it to the client but no, that wouldn't happen. The girl who had her insignia stolen would get to the loot house before her.
A boy who reeked fear from earlier would fight her and the gosh damn Sword Saint would arrive and mop the floor with her.
She was determined to kill anyone, just anyone who was here, it didn't matter their age, size or gender, someone would die and the first person would be that stupid boy who ruined her plans.
Until….
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki"...
She had to run.
What a day, he was too old for this, he had been injured and was now on the edge of death, he was lucky that the girl who had been wronged by his not related by blood granddaughter had a heart. Otherwise he would definitely be dead right now and that boy he had tried to make a deal with was on their side too.
He was so lucky that he was alive, that Felt was alive, that this Loot house wasn't.
Well….
Entirely destroyed.
At Least until…..
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki '', his precious loot house was soooooooo about to get destroyed.
The great spirit could feel a great surge of mana start to climb within him, some strange magic which resembled Yin magic could be felt, but it definitely wasn't.
The tiredness Puck felt before was immediately destroyed by this rush of energy with him, it was pure, it was powerful and it was uncontrollable.
Puck quickly escaped the crystal only to hear the one whom had called upon him.
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki"
She had been looking for Miss Emilia the entire day, she had checked the entire city and was now rushing through the dark nights of the slums, she could sense a strange wave of pure intensity coming from one of the buildings but she soon stopped in fear as a fearsome voice made the slums turn quiet.
"You shall not die Subaru Natsuki"
The bowel hunter had jumped backwards to save her life, the boy she had now went to attack had a large twisted smile across his face, he now wore what would seem like robes made of pure Dark energy with a pure Black crown on the top of his head.
The entire room had never felt such fear before even Reinhard and Puck were afraid.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…...", laughter could be heard throughout the entire room.
"Su-su-Subaru, wha-what has happened to you" Reinhard hesitantly said to the boy.
"Me and the boy have finally fused, you no longer talk to the boy named Subaru but now you talk to…
The Dark King of Luginica"
The boy bowed down in politeness as if he was some type of stage performer, the boy twisted his head up before looking at the bowel hunter and in the blink of an eye…
Her head had been sent flying off.
No one else had seen what happened, it was simply a blur but Reinhardt had seen it.
The boy had whispered something strange to himself before a strange dark energy had formed around him which somehow increased the boy's strength and speed to such a degree that he moved faster than the speed of light and he had karate chopped her head fully off, it was a truly scary development.
Emilia tried to get up and do something but the pure fear had held her back from doing anything, she felt like she was having a panic attack. Puck had quickly created 4 huge ice pillars to protect them and Reinhard had quickly got into a combat stance.
The entire loot house had been completely and utterly destroyed by the energy that had appeared through that attack, Felt felt (see what i did there) incredibly sick, like she could throw up at any moment from the levels of dark energy rising in the room.
Ram had finally appeared only to see the most intimidating thing she had ever seen.
"Halt, we do not know what you have done to Subaru but you must let him free otherwise I will have to use severe force" Reinhard said with extreme certainty. He would not allow a friend to be corrupted.
"As you wish, Sword Saint. Authority of Desperation:Shared Pain", "El Huma", Puck immediately threw all 4 ice pillars at the boy but each one was quickly destroyed by the dark beings explosive force, in the blink of an eye the dark figure rushed at The Sword Saint and for the first time in Reinhard's life the Dragon Sword was released from its scabbard, as the two forces of life and darkness collide it was quite clear who was the victor as the Dark form of the boy was sliced across the face by the Legendary Sword.
A large slash was resident across the left side of the Dark Subaru's face, yet a smile never left his face, Reinhard had obviously limited the sword's power as he didn't want to risk anyone's life in the process.
Reinhard couldn't understand the boys smile until…..
"Slit", he had been cut, a large gash was resident on the left side of his own face, blood trickled down his face as confusion was evident in Reinhard's face before the Dark Subaru smiled even more.
The boy put his open hand in the air before closing it as if crushing something in his hand.
"DIE"
Blood was everywhere as large slits spread all over his body, from his head to his feet, no normal person would be able to withstand the influx of pain but Reinhard was just built different and barely even flinched from the pain.
Emilia watched in shock as the person who had saved her had now become their biggest enemy.
Ram simply stood hesitantly but was ready to join in on the fight at any moment to protect Miss Emilia, that was what her Roswall requested of her and she would never betray her Roswall.
Reinhard looked at Subaru with blood across his face, a look of confusion and seriousness evident on his handsome face.
"I have never heard of an Authority like that one, who are you?" Puck demanded.
"How Naive of you the Great Spirit to think there are not more Authorities you wouldn't know of, there are indeed thousands in my disposal, this is one of many".
Puck and Reinhard stood in fear as this information was fed to them, the enemy they were about to face had thousands, millions, maybe even billions of abilities they couldn't see coming, with no visible weaknesses.
"Authority of Grief:Substitution", all of a sudden the slash which was evident on the dark figures face simply disappeared, only for it to appear on the stealthy maid who was currently watching the whole situation go down.
She hissed in pain as she held her right cheek.
The dark figure simply looked at her before shaking his head, "Do you really think I couldn't sense you, silly maid, if you had any intelligence you would ru-aaaaahhhh", pain was evident on the Dark Subaru's face as he dropped to the floor in agony.
"Stop fighting back from my contro-NEVERRRRR-Shut up, Shut up, Shut the hell up".
Reinhard understood the situation perfectly, they were fighting over control of his friend's body, he would not let this moment go to waste.
"Sorry Subaru, this might hurt for a moment", the red haired knight spared no moment before knocking the boy out with the back of the Dragon Swords hilt.
The Dark Subaru fell face first on the ground before finally reverting back to the original Subaru, the intensity in the air fell as the influx in dark manner fell with it.
Emilia quickly scrambled to her feet to check on the boy before….
Ram-"Miss Emilia, i would recommend leaving him for now, we don't know if he's dangerous or not"
Emilia-"Bu-but Ram"
Puck-"No buts Lia, we should focus on healing Reinhard first"
Emilia nodded with a disappointed look before offering to heal him, Reinhard nodded silently while thinking about the boy, this was going to be a very long night for the Sword Saint.
Sorry i couldn't deliver on 10k words but that many words are just so damn long, i might stop the story here or continue it or maybe even make another one, i'm just not sure. Until next time. Bye :)
