Hi, people! Nice to meet you! Well, this story is not new at all. Actually, this is an old story of mine but I decided to translate it to english since the original is in portuguese and I noticed that most of the readers are not brazilian or have any knowledge at the language. Well, the translation is not the best at all, since I am not fluent in english. Still, I tried my best and besides I really need to practice, so I hope I can learn something from this. I believe you understand that a translation have some diferences from the original, but I'm trying my best to keep the same structure from the original one. No need to worry about plot or losing meaning. Of course I'm not a translator, but, hey! I'm doing my best. The language will be really simple, since my vocabulary is poor at the moment. Anyways, the story is basically about Naruto being an war weapon and Hinata is on his rescue. Nothing big. I was just bored. Still, I hope you liked. If you already read his story using the translator, listen: I am so sorry if you went through this, really. I should have done this translation before. Hope you have a good time reading.

"I'm half agony, half hope"

Germany, 1942

April

Her little pale hands were trembling, what wornested when she was obligated to walk through that stupid, dark and fetid hall. The dark tones, no windows and the pipes made her scared willing to run with no looking back. The water ran down the wall, forming puddles on the thick and baldly finished floor. She was alone, with her own luck - or bad luck - and praying to end soon; that explains her hurried steps, the little heels echoing, making everything more darker.

When saw the iron door and the securities holding it, she felt her body relax in some kind of relief, even though being there made her anxious. She passed her ID card and the enormous door opened, showing a little corredor and one more door, identical to the first one. Now, she went to the laboratorie.

The Area Seven were a gloomy place with white walls like the snow herself, smelling to disinfectante. Nobody looked or talked to her, and so did her. Followed her path and passed through one more door before the elevator.

There was a cube made of steel that suffocated her. The numbers were growing rapidly till the twentieth floor. The new corredor echoed the elevator sound, showing her presence to nobody. Walls and doors are still white.

Out of air again, her hands were trembling. She wanted to get out of there. But nothing else could happen, so she tried her best to keep controlled and sane. No fear left.

The Red Floor hall was the most silent of them all but for a moment she wished for noise. The other doors didn't matter at all, just one, the last. The farthest one.

The room 007 was the last and most protected room of that floor: four railings opened only with ID. No one could guess what was going on inside that place. Hyuuga Hinata tried, everyday, to discover how she came to that place.

It took five minutes to open the door completely. It was the same scenario as always, and as always, Hinata felt her legs tremble when got inside. She took a deep breath and took the first steps inside, feeling goosebumps all over her body while the door closed behind her.

It was dark inside. She knew where the interruptor was and however it needed long seconds to feel safe. The room was silent and dark, the air was heavier. At this point she should be used to it, of course, but it was hard to deal with.

After ten minutes, the Hyuuga moved and lighted the room. The clarity made her pearl eyes hurt momentaly. She blinked a few times and held the clipboard stronger than normal. Thick railings went from ceiling to floor, which formed a protection barrier between them.

Uzumaki Naruto, a young man deceived by his own country. Hinata wondered herself why they did those cruel, inhuman experiments. They screwed up the man's life, and they have been unfair and untrue. Maybe that could explain his rage for humanity and Japan's authorities. And also the desire to kill her, rip out every piece of her skin - his words.

Uneasy, she came close to the man with heads on his knees. She didn't say anything, waiting for him to notice her. In truth, he already knew she was there since the moment she parked. He was no human, no average boy.

— Hello, Hinata. — he said unexpressed. — What is the honor of your presence?

— You train today. — she answered calmly. — And some exams.

The man raised his head to look at her. Hinata didn't like how he was tall and strong but she was never more vulnerable than when observed by his blue eyes. To her, they were two tempestuous and deep oceans working to drag her to the depths without her will.

Although beautiful with those blonde hair and bright blue eyes, Hinata was afraid of Naruto. He was not like the human he was someday and couldn't mend the most sensible part of his soul. It was like staring at an abyss of nothing.

She got closer and triggered the coordinates to open the railings. All of them got raised, opening space to Naruto. Hinata remembered the initial fear that he would attack her but to her surprise he never did. The chains on the table were used to hold his hands and feet. Being the most dangerous experiment, Naruto was not allowed to get out without those. And not just dangerous, but also the best one. With assassin spirit and bloody like Hell itself. He was not like the boy he used to be. So, he could only pass through those doors with the irons chains. In most of the time, Hinata felt pity for him, because he got hurt and bleed a lot.

— I could kill you right now. — he said, provocative.

— Y-you could have done that earlier. And still… I'm alive. — she answered,

nervous.

Hinata was so nervous and got trapped with the chains. Naruto could only watch her tipsy moviments, waiting patiently for ther to end. His big blue eyes observed her, not losing anything. In fact, at the start, he wanted to kill her so bad, thirsty for revenge. However, Naruto got used to her presence. Of course he would never admit it but liked her around, even with her fear of him.

— You should run from this all, Hinata. — he murmured. — This is not your world.

— What do you mean? — she asked, doubt all over her face.

— I'm pretty sure you don't want to be a monster like me.

It seemed she would say something to Naruto, but it didn't come. Her voice was gone, like the air in her lungs. Naruto's blue eyes were still there, scanning her every reaction. He was right; she was supposed to run and never look back. However, she had a lot of things to do there.

— I have duties, Naruto-kun. — she murmured, looking at the chains. — I can't get out like this.

The blonde man didn't say anymore and followed the scientist, still arrested. They used the elevator to get to Yellow Floor, where the train arenas were. Naruto was silent, didn't ask or threatened. Hinata too, because there was nothing to say, really.

When the elevator stopped, Hinata guided Naruto to the training area and took off the chains. As always, he was hurt. Instantly, she rubbed the area to find relief - even though Naruto couldn't feel any pain.

Naruto looked at doubt, trying to understand the gesture. His skin felt warm against Hinata's cold and shaky hands. And it was good, far from those filthy touches during the experiments.

— Go, Hyuuga. — he said bringing her back to reality.

Noticing her action, Hinata blushed and let him go. She took the chains and vanished after looking at him one last time. She wished she had smiled and given him confidence, but that was beyond her capacity. She couldn't smile anymore.

He felt ridiculous. Usually, training would be about throwing sevage animals to the experiments or a series of shots to dodge. To the scientists, Uzumaki Naruto was the perfect weapon, the animal they needed to win the War and some more dark things.

Naruto was immobile waiting for the animals or whatever. He was calm, his heart-beats in a normal rhythm. The relaxed body in attack position. One of the doors opened. Different from before, a man appeared, probably from his age. He was just as tall as Naruto but redhead, so red that hurted the viewer's eyes. In his forehead a tattoo: the kanji to "love". His green vibrant e cold eyes. The blonde one was not afraid at all, just surprised with the new strategie.

The new boy got closer enough to be inside of the place. They looked at each other, forming an inner war between them. Naruto was certain he was just one more. One more experiment, someone deceived with the idea of being capable to defend their country and win better days. Anyways, the boy didn't seem worried.

Nothing happened for a few minutes till the boss got on the mic.

— Naruto, this is Gaara. From now on you two will be good friends and will fight for your lives. — said the man with dubious excitement. — Be good experiments and do what you are designed to.

They keep the staring battle, analysing, waiting for the first attack. They both attacked. Naruto started with a kick, while Gaara defended himself with this hand. The impact was intense, making them move away from each other immediately. The Uzumaki soon understood this was an equal fight and that was fun. If anyone looked enough would find a sarcastic smile on his lips.

Naruto decided it was time to turn things funnier. He couldn't hit Gaara, though, but stayed close enough to see his green eyes; not surprised to see the hunger in them. He dodged while trying to kick him. Gaara frowned at how foolish Naruto was. That made Naruto punch him in the chin, sending to the other side of the room. The redhead got a dislocated jaw and two broken ribs and that irritated him. Gaara got up with a whole new expression. Dark contours appeared in his face which gave Naruto pretty sure that that would be really funny.

In another room were the scientists while the experiments trained — Hinata hated those words as if they were horrible animals. She hated watching but nothing could be worse than that fight between Gaara and Naruto. She would constantly question herself how that place didn't burn down.

Naruto shunted another Gaara's punch to attack right after and threw him to the side. Both were severely hurt which would give her a long day sewing those wounds of him, hearing him mumble during all the process. And she would give up, of course.

Suddenly, she remembered the first time she saw Naruto training. There were five lions over him and although afraid, she was worried. His body was still made of flesh and bone. However, to her surprise, he fought with all of them and killed one by one without pity, plus a little smile of satisfaction. The next thing were the shots, grenades and bombs. He dodged, for sure, but she would thank God or whatever for that. That didn't mean he escaped scratches, cuts and other injuries — severe or not. After that she should heal him.

That was the first time she saw him fighting another experiment. To be honest, Hinata was not aware of another one. Until then, all the others went wrong, except Naruto. And Gaara, apparently. They attacked and defended themselves but the goal was to kill. If they were simple mortals the battle wouldn't go for more than five minutes, with luck.

— It's a success, Madara! — said one of them. — We have two already and they are perfect.

— A little more and we have three. — said Madara, laughing. — And more, later.

— The world will be yours, my friend. All yours!

Hinata felt a shiver, a horrible feeling to hear this. She knew pretty well all the things they could do, but she tried not to think or remember any of them. She wished she was never there, honestly.

She kept watching the fight and they're tied. This kept going for two hours when she started praying to end soon. Staying there hearing those things and watching them was unbearable.

It was over when Gaara threw Naruto to the other side of the room, after Madara's order to stop. Hinata ran to catch Naruto and take him back to his cell. She could feel Gaara staring as she was putting the chains on Naruto but ignored it. They were almost out when he called her.

— Hey, girl.

Hinata turned around and waited.

— You're gonna die here. — he said expressionless but the certain in his voice scared her.

Swallowing, Hinata carried Naruto as she could and ran. The exams could be done later. That place was horrible and she felt chased, cursed and threatened by those men trying to conquer — and destroy — the world. It was enervent to know that you limited your career to something that was a pure destruction you never wanted but cooperated with.

Back to the room 007 Hinata laid Naruto. She took the first aid kit and that would be enough to heal part of the wounds; the rest would be healed alone. As she noticed how out of control she was, Hinata took time to calm down. Inside there she would be safier. When she was at ease, got back to Naruto.

— This is unnecessary and you know it. — he said, angry.

— Shut up and stay still. It's my job.

Naruto held her wrist, making her stop, scared. He didn't hurt her, just kept eye contact which made her feel vulnerable. Close to him, Hinata felt even more human and that hurt, with nothing in her life, just this job.

— The redhead is right. You're gonna die in here. — he mumbled, letting her go. — Stupid.

Hinata couldn't respond to that so she retreated but could still feel the warmth in her wrist. How ironic was it that Naruto could be more human than she was? He was just hot as the sun and her, as cold as the moon. Looking at him again, the blue eyes were calm and gave her the guarantee of his words as a fact. Soon, she would be out of the game.

— I'll bandage your wrists and ankles.

Hinata went closer and cleaned his wounds delicately. Naruto had some people to care for him before but none of them touched him like Hinata did. She seems to want to preserve him, not allow any bad close to him; that he could not understand since he saw himself as evil. Like they said, he was a human walking weapon, a prisionar of the people that wanted to cause chaos on Earth. Why would she be worried, then?

— Otou-san once told me people have their own good side. — she started while bandaging him. — I believe in this, honestly. I choose science as a way to help people but I'm here, contributing to evil. Isn't it ironic?

The blonde one kept quiet, listening as she talked. Hinata had a tone sweet and low, soft like a lullaby. It was horrible to like so much to hear her talk for hours and hours and hours.

— I just wanted to change some things. — she said, bitter. — I wanted to allow people to have a second chance. Where is your second chance? How did I let you lose it?

The pearl eyes stared at the blue ones looking for an answer or a little of hope. Naruto wanted to have one for her but to him… there was no second chance. He could not believe be worthy of any beauty of life. However, Hinata did. Different from him, she was good and liked to help people; he just wanted to kill them.

— I don't need a second chance. — he paused to hold her wrist again. — I just need you to run away from here, forever, Hyuuga.

Hinata looked at him, not understanding. She already told him it was impossible. There, she was surrounded by invisible monsters and trying to escape was suicidal. She held his hand, noticing the difference of size.

— I won't allow myself a second chance if you won't have yours, Naruto-kun. — she smiled. — I have a debt with you.

He could not understand what she meant but feel that soft touch in his calloused hands was more important.
