???

I ran through the forest. Water pouring down on to me and lightning appearing from every angle. The dirt below me has turned into mud, and every time I stepped on the soil, my paws would sink into the ground, coating them with muddy water. I didn't know the storm was going to be this violent when I first saw the clouds. Because of that, I didn't seek shelter right away.

I aimlessly ran down the path, desperately trying to find some kind of safety from the weather. But I could only see trees from miles away. I didn't want to hide under a tree when there is a thunderstorm out here, for obvious reasons. It felt as if the rain was increasing every minute. My breathing got more substantial, and I felt light-headed from all the running and stress.

While I ran, a bolt of lightning struck right in front of me. The sudden appearance of light made me shield my eyes. My front legs gave up on me, and I couldn't support my body weight. I plunged towards the ground. Landing on my right side, Sliding about a meter on the ground. When my body was motionless, I couldn't do anything. The noise made me lose my hearing. I could only hear a high-pitched note in my head and a faint raining sound in the background. With no energy inside of me, I just laid there. My head and body enveloped in the mud.

I lifted my head from the mud; my vision is blurred from the water mixed with the dirt. I knew that I couldn't lay here and wait for the storm to disappear magically. When I tried to move my muscles, a painful feeling shot through my body. The sensation made me grit my teeth as I slumped towards the ground once again. I let out a small whimper when I collided with the ground.

I laid my head down towards the mud, taking heavy breaths through my mouth. I knew from the start that I couldn't hurry home, but now. I don't even know if I can seek shelter anymore. My legs were numb, my head ached, and I probably twisted my ankle.

I saw another light appear, but this one was different. It wasn't as strong as a lightning bolt, and it remained longer. Lifting my head from the ground, I saw a reflection coming from the bottom of the hill to my right. The light seemed to be moving from left to right when I stared at it. It felt as if it was calling me over there. With no other choice, I went with my gut feelings.

I brought my forepaws where my head laid. Putting them on either side of my head. Slowly, I started testing how much weight I could put on them. As my paw made contact with the ground, I felt my muscles stiffen up inside my body. I was gritting my teeth as I slowly crawled off the path heading towards the small hill. The pain was hardly bearable as I crept through the grass.

7 meters...

My fur was messed from all the water it soaked up.

5 meters...

My rear legs throbbed as I dragged them across the grass.

3 meters...

My eyes were starting to lose focus.

1 meter...

With a final push, I was now laying on the bottom of the cliff. The cliff wall was covered in vines, hiding the texture behind it. The light had vanished when I was halfway there, but I saw it shining again, only this time, it was behind some of the vines. I was confused at first glance, but my questions were answered when a thunderbolt appeared somewhere near me. The flash from the lightning illuminated the wall, and I saw an opening in the cliff.

I was finally feeling hopeful now. Without wasting any time, I crawled towards the opening. The entrance to the cave was short. I could feel both of my sides brush against the stone when I wriggled through. Going deeper into the cave, I noticed that the cave was expanding. The walls were further away than before, and the ceiling was taller now than before. There was no light source in the cave, so that I couldn't see anything.

The sounds of echo ran through the cave when I plummed towards the ground. I have pushed the limits of my muscles, and now the recoil was settling in. I was lying on my side, my back towards an adjacent wall. My muscles started to spasm and twitch. Every time they shuddered, it brought a feeling of pain and discomfort to me. Grunts and whimpers came from my mouth as I laid there and took it.

A few moments later, the spasming stopped, and instead, my body went limp. The cold floor, combined with the water-soaked up in me, made me lose all heat I had inside. I curled up to a small ball and tried to keep the small amount of heat that was left in my body. My fatigue caught up to me, and I went to sleep.

I immediately jerked my head up from my paws and looked around the cave. I tried looking for the source of the voice, but there was no light source in this cave. I awkwardly laid on the stone ground, trying to spot an outline of a figure in the dark. I was very vulnerable in this condition, and I didn't want to encounter anyone now. I waited for something to pounce on me, but instead, there was only silence in the dark.

"Maybe it was only in my head," I told myself. Right as I said that a small light formed in front of me. The light didn't illuminate any surfaces in the cave. It was just a white sphere, hanging in the darkness. I couldn't determine the distance of the light, but I could see it getting closer to me. With my health, I could do nothing but lay there and watch as the orb came closer.

The sphere stopped its movement and started to reshape. The orb began to mold out, looking like if it was trying to shape towards something. Four tendrils emerge from the lower part of the sphere, moving slowly outwards. While the lower part grew, the middle part started to shape like an oval. The tendrils started to thicken in size and started looking like four legs. Right now, it looked like a headless pokemon, hovering in the air.

Two new tendrils creeped out from the figure, one front, one back. The front one began to form a head shape. The back one developed a tail. Large pointy ears appeared from the head as a big mane grew around its neck. The creature had morphed into an Eevee appearance. The Eevee decreased its altitude and stood on the floor.

H̕͢E̡͢L̨͞LO̡͠

The voice from The Eevee sounded so broken. It was disturbing to hear it. I opened my mouth to speak, but my tongue didn't move. I still didn't know if this 'creature' was dangerous or not. It doesn't look threatening, but the way it appeared out of nowhere was enough to cause multiple red flags for me.

While I was busy in my thoughts, the Eevee had raised its paw and placed it on my forehead. I stared at it with a puzzled gaze. The Eevee started putting more force in its paw, making me wince in pain. I tried to use my forepaws to slap the paw away, but none of my muscles couldn't respond to me. Not even my tongue wanted to move.

A sharp feeling of pain went through my body when I felt something penetrate my head. I glanced up and saw that the Eevee had pushed its paw inside my head. I gritted my fangs, trying to suppress the pain. The paw went farther inside my head until the pain was too much for me.

I blacked out.

Waking up the next morning wasn't pleasant. My head felt dizzy. My body was probably bruised from lying on the stone floor for an extended period. When I first opened my eyes, I noticed that I could see a lot better in the dark now. Even if there wasn't any light in the cave, I could make out shapes and details in the cave.

I laid there on the floor, trying to recollect what happened yesterday. But I couldn't remember anything from last night. My memories were clouded. I only recalled that I ran from a storm and that there was a weird light.

When I moved my forelegs, it felt odd. Like if they were in a different form. I curiously looked at my paw and started examining it. The first noticeable thing was that it wasn't brown anymore; it was jet black. My eyes trailed of the leg and went further up to my body. It wasn't only my paw that was black, but my whole body. My speculation was confirmed when I noticed yellow rings on my legs.

"I... Evolved?" I said to myself. But that only emerged more questions than before. How? How did I evolve, and when...

I knew it was better to drop the topic and just accept how things are now.

I concluded that I have been in this cave for too long. I decided to look for an exit. I stood up on my legs, being a little unbalanced to the new body. Looking around the cave, I saw a small tunnel with daylight on the other side. The only problem was that the tube was only a third of my height. I knew I wouldn't fit in between there, so I decided to look for an alternative route.

I walked further into the cave, looking around for any other wild Pokémons who might live here. But I didn't see anything in the dark. Even though I could see a lot better in the dark, I still couldn't see what was in front of me. It was like a fog, but with darkness instead.

I continued to have my guard up in case someone decides to jump out on me. But no one came, I couldn't hear anything except my steps echoing on the walls. The condition the cave was in was poor. The walls had many cracks in it. The ceiling could fall on me anytime, and the ground was uneven. I lowered my guard because if someone lived here, they would try to freshen up the cave a bit.

After continuing to venture into the abyss, I started picking up a faint noise echoing on the walls. The tone was low, so I couldn't hear what it was. I stood still and concentrated on seeing if I could identify the origin of the sound. I twisted and turned my ears, trying to get the most of the sound.

I walked in the direction the sound came from. The noise was becoming more apparent when I got closer. I turned around a corner and found a long hallway with a dead end. But what caught my attention was the small pond near the cave wall. It stretched from both sides of the walls. I closed the gap between me and the pond, checking out the water.

My first thought was how it got here. I didn't see any sources to cause this. The water didn't seem to have an outlet either. I got closer to the edge, lowering my head to take a closer look at the water. I quickly noticed that the water wasn't that deep, about a meter deep.

When I was lost in my thoughts, a waterdrop landed on my muzzle. My focus was broken, and I looked up and saw that the ceiling was wet from the water's evaporation. "That explains the sound," I said to myself. I was ready to turn around and continue searching for an exit, but then I heard a noise coming from the edge of the water. I couldn't apprehend what it was, but I knew that it was coming from the other side of the wall

I stood by the edge of the water, looking over to the other side, trying to spot a hole. I didn't locate a passage in the wall, but I did see something underwater. There were reflective lights underwater, coming from the wall across the water. It looked like there was a passage under the water.

I decided to check it out at least because I have nothing to lose. If I would continue trekking around this cave, then I would presumably die of starvation. I took a paw forward and lowered it in the water. It was cold, but I wouldn't suspect anything else coming from this water. The water floor had a slope structure, which meant I could walk down slowly. I put down each leg carefully in the pond. I was felling the coldness creeping up on me.

I started walking to the middle of the pond, Feeling the water go further up on my fur. My momentum was reduced when my whole body was below the surface. I reached the cliff wall and looked down on the water. I could see that there was light from the other side, shining through the water into the cave.

I took a deep breath and ducked my head under the liquid. I gawkily opened my eyes in the water and saw a passage through the wall. I brought up my head to the surface again, refilling my lungs with a new dose of oxygen. I dipped my head in the water again and awkwardly tried to swim under the opening. A quadruped Pokémon and swimming underwater don't fit together, but I slowly swam towards the light.

When I was on the other side, I pulled my head up from the water, and my eyes instantly got assaulted by the sun's light. I brought my right foreleg up and used it to create shade for my eyes. It felt like my eyes were burning when I started to open them. The brightness began to reduce, and I started to see shapes and colors.

The first thing I noticed was that the pond was a little larger out here than in the cave. There was also a forest circling the pond. Flowers and plants were growing near the edge of the water. The sun was shinning without any clouds to disturb it. I stood still and took in the view, watching in awe as I glanced at everything I could see.

I was so distracted from the scene that I didn't know how long I stood there. I shook my head to snap out from my glaring and started moving towards dry land. When I got up from the water, I could feel the coldness creep up on me again, but the sun was there to put me in a warm embrace. I shook off the extra water that was stuck in my fur.

I looked back towards the cliff. The cave was well hidden from the outside. Vines and other plants from the water hid the entrance, making it hard to notice it. Even if the sun shined directly towards the entrance, you couldn't see it.

I looked around in my new environment, not knowing what to do. I sighed as I sat down and stared into the forest's abyss. I didn't know where to go now. I don't even know how I got in the cave in the first place. I sat there, trying to retrace my steps on how I ended in the cave. But my memories were broken. I glanced up at the sun, checking the time. The time was around midday from the sun's position.

I felt a familiar sensation in my stomach, the feeling of emptiness. I recollected that I hadn't eaten well over a day from now. There was no food near the pond, so I would have to go into the forest and search for something. I made a mental map of this location so I can come here again.

Taking my first steps into the forest, I noticed how quiet it was. Usually, I would hear some pokémon communication or battle back at home. The only sound I heard was the steps I took on the grass. I slowly crept more in-depth into the forest, keeping my eyes peeled for any predator. The forest grew denser by the minute. Trees were blocking my vision as I trudged forward.

I walked around a tree and came to a clearing. Looking around, I noticed that there was a dirt path beneath me. I looked down at it before I started looking straight forward, towards where the trail was heading. Right in front of me were the worst kind of pokémons.

Civilized pokémons. Those who preferred to live in unnatural buildings, hate us wild pokémons for living the 'wrong way.' thoose who can't even protect them self from others. The town had many houses scattered over the place. roads that went around the town

I settled that I should walk around the town, keeping a safe distance, but still close enough if there is food there. I turned to the right and started walking around the city.

As I walked around, I kept involuntarily glancing at the town. I don't know if it was because I felt insecure, or if I was interested. I haven't exactly been on good terms with other towns. So I knew it was better to stay away from it.

I had walked for a long time but still haven't found any food. Looking at the town, I noticed that I have walked to the other side of the city. The sun was starting to move down, making the brightness gently disappear. I couldn't turn around now because I still needed food.

I picked up my pace and started looking around the area. Fortunately, there was a bush with some oran berries on it. I felt reassured when I saw the berries hanging there. I ran up to it and took it in my paws.

My stomach was begging me to devour it by this point. Seeing no other reason, I took a considerable chunk and bit it down. I didn't have any time savor the taste as I greedily gulped it down. I continued demolishing the berry as I started reaching for the next one. I continued this process until there were no more berries left.

After I ate all the berries on the bush, I sat down to rest. The peaceful sound of trees rustling from the wind. The sweet smell of nature. I took in everything in this area.

A glance towards the sun was enough for my mood to change. The sun was slowly disappearing behind the hill. Darkness started to sweep over the area. The warmth was fading away and was replaced with a chilling breeze. The temperature began to drop as the sun completely vanished from my line of sight.

Staying in the forest while it is dark is a suicide mission when there are wild pokémons out there, waiting for you to be their next prey. I looked around for the best escape from here. I looked left and right, but there was only more forest on either side. I was surrounded by the forest, except from one angle.

Towards the town. I didn't want to go there, but it's my best shot at survival right now. I stood up on my shaky legs as I gingerly walked towards the town's boundary. I carefully pressed my paws on the grass, trying to be as quiet as possible.

Each step I took sent involuntary memories to fill my mind. My paced decreased every time I came closer to the city.

I was away from the forest now. Meters away from the road that went through the town. I scanned over the area for any other creature that might be here. But it was dead silent here. The lights in some of the houses were still on, so I kept that in mind as I stood in the middle of the road. I took one more glance towards the forest, seeing nothing but darkness plastered over the area.

I took a deep breath as I started walking into the empty streets. Light posts on each side of the road. It was brightening up the terrain around me. My shadow was the only thing following me as I trudged through the town.

Houses started to get bigger when I got further into the heart of the city. Buildings surrounded me from every angle

It felt like a ghost town from the lack of pokémons that lives here. The only thing I heard was the steps I took onto the concrete. I continued to walk until I heard a faint noise echoing through my head.

H̀I̶D̢È

My eyes went wide as I heard a voice. It sounded like it was right next to me. I immediately started looking around for the source of the voice. But there wasn't any pokémon for miles from where I stood.

"whos there?" I said quietly, trying not to alert anyone else of my presence. No response came. I tried calming myself down by saying that it was only in my head. No one else is around here but me. While I was calming down, I tried to focus on what the voice said instead.

I was interrupted when I heard a new voice or rather, voices. Around the corner of the building came shouts and cries. I hesitantly moved towards the edge. I poked one of my eyes out, examining the scene.

There were five figures there—all of them standing except one, who instead laid on the ground. The four of them surrounded the one who was lying on the ground. I raised my ears, trying to hear what the were saying, but the only thing that filled my ears was painful cries.

I wanted to continue my walk to the cave, but something prevented it. I couldn't move my body. I could only stay there and watch when a pokemon got attacked, with no chance of escape.

I heard some laughter come from the group as they started leaving the fifth figure behind. It was lying motionless on the ground. Bearly breathing.

Now I was faced with a new problem. The group was heading towards my directions. I brought my head away from the wall and desperately started to look around me for a hiding spot.

There was an alleyway not far away from me. I instantly dashed towards it, hoping that there was some cover for me.
