Chapter 4: Immortals and Weddings.

Goku was a man with a mission. He reverted back to his normal form, and teleported to New Namek. He immediately located the Grand Elder, who greeted Goku merrily and gave him the Namekian Dragon Balls. Grand Elder summoned Porunga, and he granted Goku's wish, which was to restore everything he had destroyed in his 3B form. Goku also wished that everyone would forget about what he had done.

Goku then teleported to Grandpa Gohan's old house, and found what he was looking for. The gravity capsule. A few years ago, he had asked Bulma to make this for him, so he could train when Chichi wasn't around.

"Time for some self-punishment." Goku thought grimly. He turned up the gravity to 2000x and of course in his base form. He staggered slightly, then did his workout. By the time he had finished, he was drenched in sweat. He decided to go to the river to clean himself off. When he returned to Grandpa Gohan's house, he checked the calendar. "OH NO!" he yelled. "It's Bulma's birthday party! She's gonna kill me if i'm late!"

Goku hurriedly washed his gi and air dried it, literally, as he flew off. "Son-kun!" Bulma yelled. "You actually made it." She sent a harmless punch which hurt her more than it did him. "That's for being late." she said, wincing. Goku laughed and scratched the back of his head with his eyes closed Goku-style. "Sorry, sorry. I was training." Goku said laughing. Everybody turned up again, fearing Bulma's wrath. Even Beerus and Whis showed up. That is, everybody but Chichi and Yamcha.

As if Bulma could read Goku's mind, she scowled. "Those traitorous, disgusting, unloyal creatures aren't ever welcome near here again." she said. "Here comes the birthday cake!" said Videl. After wishing Bulma a happy birthday, they were just getting started on what would have been an excellent party, when another beam of light showed up. Out stepped the Grand Priest.

In a flash, everybody was on their knees. Beerus timidly asked, "G-G-Grand Priest-sama! W-What brings you h-here?" "I would like to know that as well." said Whis. "Rise, everyone." said the Grand Priest, smiling, ignoring Beerus and Whis. "I came here since I have something very urgent to discuss with Goku-san." Goku scratched the back of his head. "Me? What for?"

"I will explain in due time." said the Grand Priest. He subtly glanced at Goku. "Alone" he said pointedly. Goku walked over to him and they disappeared. Beerus groaned loudly. Everyone turned to look at him. "If Goku angers him, we're as good as dead." he said. They turned back to their meals, without their earlier enthusiasm.

Goku turned to the Grand Priest. "What's this all about?" he asked. "Three things." Grand Priest said. "One, you are going to become a God of Destruction. Two, you are going to have your life linked to that of a Supreme Kai. Three, most importantly, you will get married to one of my daughters." Goku nearly fainted. "WHAT!" he screamed. They heard his yell all the way over at Capsule Corp. "W-w-what do you mean?" Goku asked.

"Listen, Goku-san." Daishinkan said. "You must obey me on this. The Grand Zeno's have decided they will erase your universe if you refuse. Also, I have realized that in some time, they may accidentally erase you because you've grown too strong. To put it frankly, no mortal should ever become as strong as you are, in your Mastered Ultra Instinct form. When a mortal comes near your level of strength, I must either kill them or they become Gods of Destruction. As the Zeno's have decreed, death is not an option for you. Another reason why I chose now is because a Fruit of Light has ripened on the Tree of Creation. (A/N) I'll go into more detail on this later. Which is why you must now become immortal. Your marriage to an angel not only secures your safety, but it also ensures your universe is never at risk of erasure. Should the Zeno's host another Tournament of Power, your universe would be exempt from risk. Do you accept? I need your answer, which will be a yes, willingly or unwillingly, on the first two things I have mentioned. What is your answer?"

Goku's brain was still reeling from what he had just heard. He wanted to say no, but if he did he would be refusing Zenny and Future Zenny, which would definitely mean the universe's destruction. He didn't even want to imagine what Beerus would say, or scream. He found himself numbly saying, "I-I-I accept." Grand Priest visibly sighed in relief. "Good. I didn't want to force you. Now, for the last thing that I had mentioned. Your marriage. Which of my daughters do you choose? I would recommend Vados, as you are already acquainted with her. Would you choose her, or another?"

Goku wondered about the other angels. He had never even seen them, let alone talk to them, before the Tournament of Power. Then Goku thought about Vados. Even before his fallout with Chichi, he had always thought of Vados as an extremely beautiful being. Her strength also made her even more… exotic. She was stronger than Whis, and Goku wasn't even at Whis's full level. He was attracted to her strength and beauty. "Yes," Goku said. "I choose Vados."

Daishinkan smiled. "You will be assigned to be the God of Destruction of Universe 6, with Vados as your wife and attendant. I will notify her and the other GoD's and Kaioshins. It is time to take you back to your friends." And with that, he teleported them back to Capsule Corp. Addressing Goku, he quietly whispered, "I shall leave now. I will come back for you in exactly one Earth Year. You may take your friend Vegeta. The attendance of both Supreme Kai's (since your universe has two) and the Gods of Destruction are mandatory. Nobody else. That is when you shall ascend to the Supreme Level of the Gods." He disappeared in a flash of white light.

"What happened?" Everyone asked at the same time. Goku ignored them. He turned to the group in the back. "Gohan, Vegeta, Whis, Beerus. Follow me. We've got to talk. Nobody else."

"You're joking." said Gohan in an almost awed voice. Whis was confused about something else though. "Why would you accept the title of a Destroyer now?" he asked. "I offered you this a while ago. You adamantly refused it then."

"The Zeno's would have erased the universe if I refused." replied Goku flatly. "I promise you, I didn't ask for the job." "Kakarot, if you think you're going to be stronger than me just because you're a deity, then you're sorely mistaken." said Vegeta with eyes closed and his arms across his chest and his permanent frown. Goku almost cracked a smile. Beerus was thinking of something else. Goku seemed… so different. Not his stupid, happy, self. He was more solemn and quiet. Beerus ignored it for the time being. "What universe are you assigned to?" he asked. "Universe 6." was the only reply. Beerus noted that Goku's face clouded over at the mention of that universe.

"Out with it. What's on your mind." Beerus said, glaring. Goku visibly stiffened when he heard that. "Dad?" asked Gohan softly. "Leave." said Goku. "Leave, Gohan." Gohan was confused. "Why?" he asked. "Please leave." Goku sighed. "Ok then." said Gohan, visibly confused and worried. He took off through the skies. A minute later, Goku felt for Gohan's ki. It was with Goten and the rest of the Z-Fighters.

Goku sighed and rubbed his nose. "I'm getting married to Vados," He told them, more specifically to Whis. Vegeta and Beerus, who had been drinking water Whis had conjured up with his staff, both choked. They screamed, "YOU'RE WHAT?!" "I'm getting married." said Goku. "To an angel." Whis's eyebrows disappeared into his hair. "Ohohohoho! I'm surprised." he said. "Why so sudden?"

Goku sighed yet again. "I was forced into it." "Not that I mind." By your father." he said, glancing over at Whis. "Oh?" Whis asked. " I was to marry any of his daughters but he suggested Vados and I agreed. Apparently, since I was super strong, he either had to kill me or make me immortal. The Zeno's said my death was out of the question, so I'm going to become a Hakaishin. Also, because I'm going to marry her, our universe is safe. The Universe won't be erased by Zeno ever, and if there's another ToP, then our universe is exempt from any erasing invo-

"YES!" screamed Beerus. "YES YES YES YES! I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOU ANNOYING BATTLE-CRAZED SAIYANS MAKING SOME IDIOTIC MISTAKE THAT INVOLVES MY POSSIBLE DEATH BY ERASURE!" he yelled. They all comically sweatdropped. "Hmph." Vegeta said. "Now if we are done here, then I want to talk to Kakarot." "Just a minute." Whis said. "I will talk to Goku-san first." He glanced at Goku and teleported them away.

"Why did he pick Vados?" asked Whis. "Because I already knew her, and because she helped me through my rage." "Rage?" Whis asked. "Oh nevermind." "Ohohohohoho!" Whis giggled. "You two already love each other don't you?" "I have no idea what you're talking about. I've only thought she was beautiful ever since I first saw her." Goku said, grinning widely at the sky.

Whis took them all to the Capsule Corps. Beerus explained the recent developments and Vegeta pulled Goku aside while the rest of the people were gawking in disbelief. Before Vegeta could speak, Goku said, "Along with Whis and Beerus, you can come with me. Grand Priest specifically said only you can come. Which means, you really haven't got a choice." "Hmph. I was going to pull you aside and ask to go with you. Also, you'd best ask Whis how to prepare for your marriage." "He probably won't know. I'm the first to wed an angel." Vegeta's eyes widened. "Your best bet would be to ask the Grand Priest himself then."

The rest of them congratulated Goku on his changing of his life. He was very happy about the wedding, or who he was getting married to, not that happy his life was in the hands of a most likely weak Supreme Kai (if the Kaioshin of Universe 7 was anything to judge by,) and downright upset that he was going to be a God of Destruction. Whis managed to cheer him up, saying that you start off slow, and you only start destroying when you complete your training with your attendant. Goku was glad he didn't have to destroy immediately.

Goku shook off all of his friends and went to Grandpa Gohan's house for a very much needed nap. Whis watched him go, wondering how he was feeling.
