(A/N)Uh... so yeah.
I'm REALLY REALLY sorry for making you guys wait a whole six months for one short chapter. Life's been shit recently so I haven't really had much time to do extracurriculars. My schedule's been kinda cleared up now, so I'll probably be able to start uploading regularly.
So uh, without further ado, here's the next chapter!
Chapter 5: Difficult Training
Something was wrong with Vados. And Champa really wanted to know what. Ever since Grand Priest arrived and privately told her something, she was in a kind of daze in which she was smiling most of the time. When Champa said they had to go destroy a few planets, he had to literally yell it out loud twice for it to register. Champa dearly wanted to ask what was up, but he knew better.
Goten was having the same exact problem. Every time he'd ask his dad to train him, Goku'd have this faraway look in his eyes and he'd barely be paying attention to Goten's training. Fed up at last, he went over to Gohan's house and asked about it. Gohan didn't know either, so he wanted to see what was going on. They went over to Grandpa Gohan's house and he wasn't there. There was a note that said, "Going to see the Grand Priest about my… training. I'm going to be gone for almost a year. I'd be here if I could, Love you Goten, make sure Gohan takes care of you."
Both Goku and Vados were now getting their most confusing training ever. Wedding training. Neither Goku nor Vados could look at one another without blushing, Vados more so than Goku. Goku could look at her fine, but he always inevitably found himself thinking how beautiful she was, and he immediately blushed. Vados realized that she was also attracted to Goku because of his incredible strength for a mortal, even if in those terms he was a candle and she was a bonfire. He trained so hard to protect his friends and even died for them five times. His strength, quality of character, and selfless nature was what she loved the most about him.
"Vados… Vados… Vados!" called the Grand Priest. "Focus!" he said. She shook her head to clear it and resumed the wedding formalities. Oddly enough, Goku was getting it faster than she was, maybe due to already being married once, so it wasn't as awkward for him as it was for her. She was smarter than Goku though. The Grand Priest called a lunch break. Vados had seen how large a Saiyan's appetite was, so she was surprised when Goku only took thirds of everything. He wandered off after he finished, and dangled his legs off of the edge of the planet.
She chose to sit next to him. She leaned her staff by her side. "Goku-san, why did you pick me, out of all my sisters?" Goku smiled. "Because I'm attracted to you. Why else? Ever since Champa came over to Beerus's planet, and you came with him, I always thought you were the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. (A/N) I never liked Goku and Chichi's marriage. (Not that it matters) I just wanted Goku to think Vados was pretty, not to cheat on Chichi. So you could say, Chichi's disloyalty was a very convenient event.
I picked you because I want you."
Vados's eyes widened. "I was led to believe that you were forced into it. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks the same way you do." Goku's eyes widened. "You… love me?" he hesitantly asked. "Yes." Vados confirmed. "When I heard that you chose me, out of all my sisters, I was ecstatic, and sort of upset, because I had known that you were forced to marry someone, but glad that it was me. During the Tournament of Power, I witnessed how far you were willing to go for your friends, and the people you love. I'm happy that you chose me, Goku-san."
"Even your father could tell I was in love with you. He was the one who suggested you in the first place. When I thought about it, I remembered all the times that I had been just stargazing at you when you were around me." admitted Goku.
They shared a kiss. Vegeta groaned and looked away. He did not want to see that mushy shit. This was not what he bargained for. He had only come because that third-class buffoon Kakarot asked him to, since he was his best man. He only kissed Bulma because she insisted.
The Grand Priest looked over to Vegeta. "Vegeta." Vegeta immediately straightened up and bowed low. "Y-yes sire?" "You must go see Whis." Grand Priest said. "Unfortunately, with teaching those two and all, I have my hands full. I taught Whis, and now he will teach you your part in the marriage. I will take you to him." "Yes, Lord. I am ready to depart as soon as you desire." Vegeta proclaimed, bowing lower. They teleported away.
Goku was so overcome with emotion when he looked at Vados's smiling face that he let a tear drop out of his eye. "Why do you cry?" she asked. "Because I'm lucky enough to be going to marry you." She smiled and hugged him tightly. "Me too. Me too."
