On a sunny Monday morning, our friends, the Sevilles just left the house and are making their way to school. The three boys are in the same grade level, they are seniors and soon they will graduate from high school. Simon and Theodore are sad that soon they will leave the school.

They have lots of memories of the high school they go to. The three have good ones and bad ones of it. Alvin however isn't sad like his brothers. He's actually rejoicing and surprisingly is in a good mood. He usually isn't a morning person.

"Aren't you guys excited? Soon we won't be going to school anymore. I'm gonna become a mechanic... Wait or maybe I'll become a massage therapist"

Theodore looks at his eldest brother and tells him

"Uuh... Alvin I don't mean to ruin your good mood but, I think you have to go to some kind of school to learn about fixing cars and to learn to relax muscles"

Alvin looks at him

"Pfft Theo, I don't have to go to school to learn either of those things. You know why? Because I have Dave. He's great at fixing at cars. Also anyone can become a massage therapist. All you do is rub on someone's muscles until they feel relaxed. It's easy"

Alvin proudly smiles at his younger brother who says

"I don't think it's that easy to become one of them Alvin. But if you really think you can do it, who am I to try to discourage you? I say go for it"

The two fist bump each other before looking at Simon who's surpisingly quiet. The middle brother is looking at the ground and appears to be busy thinking about something.

Alvin and Theodore look at each other wondering what could be in their brothers mind.

"Yo Simon, are you okay?"

"..."

"Simon?"

"..."

"Simon?"

"..."

"SIMON"

"Huh what?"

Finally Simon's thoughts were interrupted so he looks at his eldest brother.

"Yes Alvin?"

"I asked if you're okay? What are you thinking about?"

Simon sighs and looks at Theodore and then back at Alvin.

"Oh uh nothing... I'm just kinda sleepy"

Alvin doesn't believe him so he says

"Simon, what was on your mind?"

"I told you it-"

"Tell me or I'll shove your head in my duffle bag and trust me. You won't like the smell of my socks"

Simon gives him a disgusted look and says

"Fine I'll tell you. I was thinking about this upcoming Valentine's Day. I'm planning to ask Jeanette to be my date for the school valentines dance. I'm worried that she might say no"

Both Alvin and Theodore give him surprised looks. They are lost for words, they are surprised that their brother admitted to not asking his crush to be his dance partner for the valentines party yet.

"Dude you still haven't asked her? What are you waiting for?"

Alvin questioned him

"I... I'm scared that she'll say kno. I fear rejection okay"

Simon replied as he feels ashamed. He really does like Jeanette but the thought of her not accepting to go with him to the dance breaks his heart.

Theodore smiles sympathetically and pats Simon on the back

"Simon, just ask her already. I've already asked Eleanor and she happily said yes"

"I also asked Brittany to be my date and she almost cried of joy. She said yes to"

Alvin added

Simon looks at both of them and is feeling somewhat jealous. He wishes he was confident like his brothers. He has a huge fear of being rejected.

"Guys, i will ask her. Trust me I will but... I need a little more time to-"

"Simon, I don't think it's a good idea if you keep her waiting. Sooner or later someone else will ask her first. Do you really want that happen?"

Alvin questioned his brother

"N-No-bu-but-but-"

"But nothing. Simon you should ask her as soon as we arrive. Don't keep her waiting. Valentine's Day is this Friday night"

Simon sighs and looks at his watch and realizes will arrive late to school if they don't hurry.

"Okay I promise I'll ask her when we get there. I just hope that she'll say yes"

Alvin and Theodore smiles and glance at each other.

"That's the spirt Simon"

About half an hour later

Alvin, Simon, Theodore arrived in time, they each went to their own first period class. Alvin has gym with Brittany, Theodore has art class with Eleanor, and Simon has geometry with Jeanette. Each of them made it to class in time.

Anyhow, in geometry the whole class is chatting and chilling while the teacher is busy printing out their assignments. Simon who always sits at the front of the class, looks at the seat next to him to see it empty.

He sighs and wonders why Jeanette hasn't arrived yet. Was she not coming to school?

Suddenly he hears the door opening so he looks at it and smiles. Jeanette who walks in, hands the teacher a note for arriving late before approaching her seat.

She smiles to when she sees Simon. Gosh Simon love seeing that smile, it's more beautiful than a diamond.

"Good morning Simon"

"Good morning Jeanette, how are you?"

She opens her backpack and takes out a notebook before saying

"I'm good and you?"

"I'm fantastic, you look lovely as usual"

Jeanette blushes and smiles at him

"Why thank you Simon. You look great as well"

Simon thanks her and asks

"Soo... Did Miss Miller fall asleep again?"

Jeanette chuckles and shakes her head

"Yep, I wanted to walk to school but Miss Miller was like Jeanette you may be seventeen years old but to me... You're still my little girl. So no, neither you or your sister may not walk to school alone"

Simon chuckles and receives the assignment from the teacher before saying

"Miss Miller is sure really protective of you three. Dave is sometimes like that-"

"Alright class, quiet now. Please do your assignments quietly. Once everyone is finished, you may continue talk to with each other"

Simon was interrupted by the teacher. He smiles at Jeanette who smiles back.

The two begin to work on the sheets they got from the teacher. However as minutes go by, Simon hasn't even answered a single question. Thoughts of Jeanette are on his mind, he couldn't stop thinking about her.

Simon looks at his crush to see her working. He smiles and admires the beauty of his crush. He thinks when is a good time to ask her. Right now? At lunch? After school? This is the only class that he has with her.

Suddenly, Jeanette who feels like someone's looking at her, lifts her head and looks at Simon. She smiles and mouths the words

"Get to work Si"

Simon chuckles and nods before he works on the first question.

About an hour later...

Everyone except for Simon and Jeanette have turned in their assignments. The two are usually the ones who finish last. They take their time when doing an assignment unlike everyone else.

That's one of the reasons why the two always get the best grades, they don't rush like other students that are barely passing.

Suddenly Jeanette gets up and approaches the teacher and turns in her work but then as she turns around to go back to her seat, she accidentally bumps on to someone, her lips brushed against their cheek.

She blushes and says

"Oops sorry Simon"

"It's alrighty, I'm okay"

Simon chuckles and hands his sheet to the teacher before he and Jeanette walk back to their desks. When they get there, they awkwardly glance at each other.

"Soo... Simon do you have a date for the valentines dance?"

Jeanette nervously asked him while playing with the end of her skit. Simon gulps and nervously says

"Uh um... No how about you?"

Jeanette blushes and says

"No... But my sisters have told me that Adrian is gonna ask me to his date. They heard him saying that on the phone"

Simon could gives her worried look, his heart hurts for a few seconds after hearing that. Adrian is another intelligent boy like Simon. He's tall, has green eyes, and is one of the jocks. Simon dislikes him though because, Adrian is a jerk to him. Actually he's a jerk to all guys. He is only nice girls. Simon also knows that Adrian thinks he's better than him. Adrian has never shown respect to Simon.

"Oooh, what are you gonna tell him?"

Jeanette sighs and shyly says

"I don't wanna say yes because I want to go with someone else to the dance... But I also won't wanna hurt his feelings"

Simon's heart begins to sting however he tries to act like he's okay

"Ooh I see... Soo who is the person that you wanna go with?"

Jeanette looks at the floor and blushes

"It's a guy that I've had liked for years. You, your brothers, and my sisters know him pretty well. We have so much in common however... I sometimes think he doesn't like me back"

Jeanette sighs and looks and sounds dejected.

Simon nervously puts his hands in his pockets and could feel his heart stinging again.

"What... What's his name?"

Jeanette looks in to his eyes

"His name is-"

"RRRIIIIINNNNGG"

"Alright students, see you all tomorrow. Have a nice day"

Simon sighs and whispers a curse word to the bell for interrupting Jeanette who shyly says

"Um... We better get going"

"Uh right"

Simon puts all of his things back in to his backpack before heading out the door with Jeanette.

"Can I walk you to class?"

She looks at him and blushes

"Yes, let's go"

As the two walk in the crowded hallway, Simon's hand unintentionally brushed against Jeanette's. The two hide their blush and just keep walking despite that both want to hold each other's hand.

In a minute they get to chemistry class. The two stand at the door looking at each other.

"Soo... I'll see you later then?"

Simon nervously nods

"Yep yep"

Jeanette nods as well before placing a kiss to his cheek. Simon becomes so red but quickly looks away so that Jeanette wouldn't see his face.

"I'll see you later then"

Jeanette goes inside but then

"Jean wait..."

She stops, and smiles at Simon

"Yes Simon?"

"I... I was wondering if you could..."

"Uh huh"

Jeanette's eyes get wide and her smile gets big.

"I was wondering if you could... um"

"Uh huh yes?"

Jeanette chuckles as she feels butterflies in her stomach.

"I was wondering if you could... Help me fix my time machine? Alvin broke it again"

He smiles nervously while yelling at himself in his mind for chickening out.

Jeanette is disappointed that he didn't ask the question she hoped he would ask, but still tries to act like happy

"Oh, sure Simon. What time you want me to be at your house?"

"Um... Around six"

Jeanette nods and says

"Okay, I'll be there at six... See you later?"

Simon nods

"Yeah, I better get to my class now. See ya"

Jeanette watches as her best friend walks away. She frowns and thinks about Simon. Her Simon. Her crush. The boy of her dreams.

Uh oh, will Simon ask Jeanette to be his date for the school valentine dance before it's too late? Will Jeanette say yes? Find out on the next chapter. Oh and please review:)
