Hanako continued with her voice therapy and was making good progress. By the time she was physically ready to be discharged, her voice therapist was pleased with her progress as well- believing that she would have full use of her voice again within a couple of months.

Hanako was relieved to be released from the hospital, but it meant that the distractions were gone and she had to remind herself that Shihei would not be waiting for her at home. The day that she was released, she went to the site of her family's bakery and her heart sank seeing the extensive damage.

'It's all gone...' she thought as she stepped through the charred remains of the only thing remaining of her parents and her brother. 'Was nothing spared..?'

As she searched through the debris, making her way through to the greenhouse, Hanako wondered why they had been targetted exactly by the villains. She didn't believe that they were simply caught in the crossfire like last time, she knew there was more to it than that. But those thoughts were quickly pushed aside when she reached the remnants of the greenhouse and found some of the crops still alive- despite the raging fire and falling debris. She checked the condition of the crops- relieved that among the plants to survive was a single coffee bean plant.

'Thank goodness!'

The coffee bean plant was one that her mother had cultivated upon returning home from her trip to Southeast Asia after discovering the excelsa coffee bean- a member of the liberica coffee bean plant family. The excelsa and liberica coffee beans needed to be grown in very specific climates and temperatures like those of Southeast Asia, but thanks to her quirk- a quirk that she had passed on to Hanako- her mother was able to grow them in Japan without any difficulties. This simple plant produced a staple that became essential to their bakery shop and become essential in keeping her family's memory alive.

Hanako inspected the plants that had survived, hoping the heat and smoke damage wasn't irreparable. She was relieved to find that they weren't too badly hurt by the fire, so she searched for some pots to transplant them into- hoping that she could start anew at home. The reminder of home, though, brought back the realization that Shihei would not be there waiting for her.

'Shihei...'

While Hanako was recovering, Keigo continued his search with Enji for Subaru Ejiri and Nitro. However, Keigo was growing frustrated quickly because once again Nitro was eluding capture. But this time, Keigo had a promise to keep and he had no intention of breaking it.

He became focused solely on finding these villains, leaving the other villain attacks to Ryushi and the other heroes under the employ of his agency, and nearly a week later thanks to Enji's help, Keigo was finally starting to get closer and closer to catching his query.

Subaru was the first to be found, having holed up in an abandoned warehouse office on the outskirts of the city. He put up quite the fight, using his quirk to gain some advantage. The shimmer of his invisibility quirk however gave him away, in the end, thanks to Keigo's keen eye. He was handed over to the police and interrogated for hours before Enji stepped in and got the answers they needed through sheer intimidation. Who knew just staring someone down long enough, menacingly, would get them to crack? The villain revealed that Nitro was cooking up some grand plan to attack the center of the city, wanting to make a show of force to announce his comeback with a big bang.

Keigo and Enji worked quickly with the Police Force of Fukuoka to locate Nitro, but they weren't quick enough to do so before his attack began and just like nine years ago, the center of the city was becoming engulfed in flames. While Keigo and Enji jumped into the fray, Ryushi coordinated with the other heroes and the Police Force to evacuate civilians.

Much like their battle against the black Nomu four years prior, Enji used flame jets to float in the air and challenged Nitro. Unfortunately, with fire alone, Nitro is a match for Enji's Hellflame quirk and sends the Number One Hero flying into a nearby building. The top half of the building began to collapse and Keigo was quick to use his quirk to manipulate his feathers and evacuate all the people inside of the damaged part, depositing them in a safe place. Once the feathers delivered all the injured down to safety and in the hands of the support heroes, Keigo himself joined the fight and launched several feathers at Nitro. The distraction this provided gave Endeavor an opening to attack again.

Enji manipulated his fire streams to try and overpower Nitro's flames and the attack was so powerful that it not only cut him but also turned the collapsing top half of the building into rubble. In spite of everything, Nitro managed to survive the attack and retaliated quickly with a set of burst shot explosions that were very similar to those used by Katsuki Bakugo. Keigo used his feathers to hold part of the debris but he was beginning to run out of feathers, which was making flight rather difficult.

Down below on the streets, the local news station was trying to get coverage of the battle from a safe distance and even they were reminded of the battle against the Nomu four years ago. They kept having to retreat further and further away from the battle, though, as the fires grew wilder and soon enough, they had to leave the news coverage to their helicopter team. The battle droned on for over an hour and Keigo was at his limits- nearly out of useable feathers- while Enji was starting to run himself ragged.

Across town, Hanako had heard the commotion in the distance and turned on the TV to find her boss fighting against a villain. She recognized the chaos left behind in his wake and knew it was the same villain from nine years ago.

"Nitro..."

She watched the news report, completely tensed as the battle ensued. She could see that Enji and Keigo were both nearing their limits on the battlefield while Nitro didn't seemed phased at all.

"Please, be careful..."

Sitting on the edge of her seat, her fists clenching the front of her shirt, Hanako continued to watch with fear, worry, and nervousness. She had never really seen the heroes in action before, but she was more than impressed with what she saw before her. And finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Keigo dealt the final blow using one of his last feathers to cut down the villain. Hanako could hear cheering from everywhere- on the TV and outside in her neighborhood- as Nitro fell to the ground, motionless, but that wasn't what kept her attention. Her eyes remained on Keigo as he stood victorious over the fallen villain and sighed with relief when she saw that he was more or less OK.

"It's over..."

Back in the heart of the wreckage, Keigo felt rather beat after the battle- more exhausted than he had been in a very long time. But that didn't matter to him. At that moment, he wanted to make sure that Nitro was really dead this time and had no chances of coming back. Enji had been thinking the same thing and stood with Keigo as he incinerated the remains of the villain. Once the villain's body was reduced to nothing more than a pile of ashes that blew away on the wind, they were able to relax.

"It's over."

"Yeah..." Keigo sighed. "Thanks, Endeavor."

Enji gave him a curt nod. "Get some rest, Hawks."

Keigo returned the nod and waved casually to him as he made his way out of the mess that was the center of the city, only stopping to speak with the reporters and sign some autographs. Once he was in the clear, he hopped in the car that Ryushi had called for him and lounged in the back. Closing his eyes, he sighed with relief. 'I kept my promise, Hanako.'
