The rest of the week seemed to go by rather quickly and Hanako found that she was rather excited, but definitely nervous about going to the charity dinner with Keigo. Once she knew it was a formal type of event, she went shopping with her friends and they tried on a large assortment of dresses, shoes, and accessories- Hanako finding something that she really liked.

The day of the charity dinner was a Saturday so Hanako and Kana were able to spend their time having a ladies' day out, getting their hair and nails done, enjoying lunch at a local cafe, then going their separate ways to finish preparing themselves for the party.

Meanwhile, pacing in his penthouse apartment, Keigo was having difficulties deciding what shirt to wear with his suit.

"Keigo, just pick one already, we're running out of time," Ryushi said, looking at his watch as he sat in a nearby armchair. He sighed as Keigo continued to pace, murmuring to himself. "All this for a party you didn't even really want to go to?" he muttered to himself as he pulled out his phone.

'Hey, Kana, do you happen to know what color dress Hanako is going to be wearing?'

*ding*

'She picked out this really beautiful teal dress, why?'

'Hawks is having difficulties deciding on a shirt and we're running out of time before the car picks everyone up.'

*ding*

'Oh my gosh, what if they match? That'd be so cute!'

Ryushi chuckled and looked up at Keigo. "Go with the teal shirt."

Keigo stopped pacing and looked at the teal shirt, picking it up and setting it over the black suit jacket before laying the black tie over that. "That'll work."

"Great, now hurry up and change. The car is nearly here."

Keigo finished dressing, then did a quick check in the mirror.

"You look fine," Ryushi said, standing and coming over. "I've never seen you fuss this much before over your attire. What's changed?" He rolled his eyes as Keigo fiddled with his hair. "Is this all for Hanako?"

"Is the car ready?" Keigo asked, grabbing his jacket.

"Dodging the question I see," Ryushi sighed and shook his head with a smirk. "It should be here by the time we make it downstairs."

"Great, then let's go."

Ryushi and Keigo made their way down to the lobby of the apartment building, finding their ride waiting just outside. As they climbed into their seats and the driver started making his way to the venue, Ryushi noticed Keigo seemed a bit on edge.

"You are really bent out of shape over tonight," he voiced.

Keigo glanced at him. "What are you talking about?"

Ryushi rolled his eyes and smirked. "Come on, Keigo, you never fuss over how you look. Or smell for that matter." He sniffed the air in the backseat. "Is that a new cologne?"

"What's your point?"

"You like her, don't you?"

Keigo balked a bit and looked out the window. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Uh-huh, sure," Ryushi chuckled. "Don't think I haven't seen how you look at her these days."

Keigo didn't answer him, but he didn't ignore the question. Lately, he had been seeing Hanako in a different light- he just wasn't sure what it meant. He started noticing subtle things like the way her nose crinkles when she laughs and the way her eyes twinkling when she smiles. He found himself wanting to be in her company and thinking about her more often than he had before.

'Do I have feelings for her?'

Hanako had taken a cab to the venue, hoping that she would get there about the same time as Keigo.

"So, going to a fancy party, eh?" her cab driver asked, noting the attire. "You seem a bit nervous."

"Yeah, maybe a little," Hanako replied. "I've never been to anything this fancy before."

The cab driver chuckled. "Well, you look great."

"Thanks," Hanako looked out the window. "I hope he likes it..." she muttered to herself.

The cab driver heard her and raised a brow, looking at her through the rearview mirror. "Oh? Who's the lucky guy?"

Hanako blushed. "Someone I work with."

"And is this just business, or perhaps something more?"

Hanako fiddled with her clutch strap. "Just business, I think." She looked up when he chuckled. "What?"

"I know that look." The cab driver pulled up to the venue, putting the gear in park. "Good luck, missy."

Hanako smiled and paid the man, then stepped out of the cab and onto the sidewalk. As she closed the door and started walking towards the stairway to the venue's entrance, she searched among the crowd for Keigo or Ryushi and Kana.

"Hanako!"

She turned and saw Kana coming towards her in a magenta-colored floor-length chiffon dress with a halter neckline and an a-line waist, a beige bolero keeping her arms and shoulders warm in the chilly evening air.

"Hey, Kana, you look great."

"So do you!" Kana hugged Hanako, then stepped back. "Have you seen the guys yet?"

Hanako shook her head. "I just got here, I was hoping they would already be here."

Kana looked around, then grinned. "Here they come."

Keigo and Ryushi reached the venue and started looking for Hanako and Kana, though Ryushi was the one looking most actively- Keigo being lost in thought still. When he spotted them, he waved at Kana and nudged Keigo.

"Found them."

Keigo followed his gaze to where Kana and Hanako were standing, his eyes widening when he saw Hanako. She was wearing a teal tea-length chiffon dress with a Queen Anne neckline, an a-line waist, and three quarter length sleeves, then as they got closer he noticed that she wore a pair of teal-colored gem studs in her ears with a silver, teal and white gem choker necklace in the shape of leaves and silver t-strap heels.

"Wow," he said, hoping that the dim lighting would hide the blush spreading across his cheeks. "You look amazing."

Hanako looked up at him, offering him a sheepish smile as her cheeks became rosy, too. "So do you." She reached up to fix his tie, which had gone a tad askew. "That's a good color on you," she noted, gesturing to his shirt.

"Thanks," Keigo glanced at Ryushi, having a feeling he chose the shirt color on purpose. "It's a good color for you, too."

"Ready to go inside?" Ryushi asked, offering Kana his arm.

Keigo and Hanako watched as Kana took his arm and let him lead her inside, then Keigo offered Hanako his. "Shall we?"

Hanako smiled and nodded, taking his arm. "Let's."
