Per the order of Vanguard Cmdr. Zavala and Systems Alliance Adm. Steven Hackett, here marks an abridged timeline of events of the peoples of Earth and the Traveller's Vanguard, as dictated by Gensym Scribe Asher Mir. All dates are listed as "CE" (Citadel Era).
2015 CE - Discovery
NASA detects a celestial body somewhere near Mars orbit. Private Aerospace company SpaceX, in close association with NASA, sends a multinational team of astronauts to undergo a mission to investigate this body and lands on Mars to discover what is known as The Traveller. This brings about a new era for humanity known as The Golden Age.
June 2018 CE - The First Guardians
In an effort to better protect the peoples of Earth, the Traveller sends little bits of Light (known in the future as Ghosts) to fallen warriors all across the globe. When revived, these nigh-immortal Lightbearers have no memory of their past lives, but they are informed of their mission to seek out and eliminate those that would harm Earth. These people are what is famously known as Guardians.
November 2018 CE - The Vanguard is born
Warlock Osiris, Titan Saint-14, and Hunter Tallulah Fairwind form the Traveller's Vanguard. They mentor newly born Guardians, and, with help of the Traveller, build a base of operations on Earth that is best known worldwide as "The Tower".
Jan 2019 CE - The Darkness
The ancient enemy of the Traveller arrives in the Sol System for the first time.
June 2019 CE - The Cabal Arrives
The Cabal, a militaristic species bent on conquest and expansion make their first-ever appearance on Mars. Vanguard forces manage to push back the invading army off Mars, though at great cost to the combined forces. The Cabal, slighted by this defeat, would render humanity as a sworn enemy.
2022 CE - Osiris' Banishment
Warlock Vanguard Osiris is banished from The Tower for his divisive statements regarding the true purpose of the Guardians and the nature of the Darkness. Ikora Rey, Osiris' disciple, is named as his successor.
2050 CE - The Fallen Arrive/Battle of Twilight Gap
The Eliksni (more commonly referred to as "The Fallen"), arrive on Earth. Awoken Prince Uldren Sov intercepted messages between the Houses of Wolves, Devils, Winter, and Kings of plans of a massive offensive on Earth. His sister, Queen Mara Sov, then warns both the Vanguard and the Alliance of the coming attack. While the Awoken launch an attack against the House of Wolves (thus starting the Reef Wars), Houses Devils, Winter, and Kings launch their offensive on the outpost Twilight Gap. Led by Titan Exo Saint-14, the ensuing battle was a victory for the Vanguard and Alliance, but at heavy casualties for both sides.
2052 CE - The Crusades of Saint-14

2059 CE - The Vex Arrives

2061 CE - The Death of Saint-14
Exo Titan Saint-14 is killed in action during his journey in The Infinite Forest on Mars. Awoken Titan Zavala is named as his successor.
2099 CE - The Collapse
The Darkness launches a major offensive on the Solar System. In a last-ditch effort to protect its quarry, the Traveler intervenes in what might have been the extinction of the human race. However, the Traveller did not completely destroy its ancient enemy and has lain dormant ever since.
2134 CE - Steven Hackett is born

December 2137 CE - Cayde-6's Dare
As per Hunter Vanguard tradition, Exo Hunter Cayde-6 succeeds Andal Brask as the new Hunter Vanguard after the latter is killed in action.
