"Father, I wish to confess. I wish to confess..." Tyrion spoke, each word forced through his teeth.

"You wish to confess?"

Tyrion turned to look at the audience, anger and sorrow warring in his eyes. "I saved you. I saved this city and all your worthless lives. I should have let Stannis kill you all."

Her heart ached, knowing how much it hurt. He had gone above and beyond for the people of Kings Landing and yet, they were all too ready to strike him off as guilty.

Many cried out in outrage, murmuring angrily, but Sansa remained still, her eyes focused on her husband's face.

"Yes, Father, I wish to confess. I'm guilty, guilty, is that what you want to hear?" Tyrion turned his gaze to Twin.

"Do you admit you poisoned the King?"

"No," Tyrion denied. "In that, I'm innocent. I'm guilty of a far more monstrous crime. I'm guilty of being a dwarf."

"You are not on trial for being a dwarf," Tywin scoffed.

"Oh is that right? I've been on trial for that my entire life," Tyrion seethed.

"Have you nothing to say in your defense?"

"Nothing but this. I did not do it," Tyrion twisted his head, grinding his teeth. "I did not kill Joffrey but I wish I had! Watching your vicious bastard die gave me more relief than a thousand lying whores."

"I wish I was the monster you think I am," his face twisted into a grimace, teeth bared at the court. "I wish I had enough poison for the whole lot of you!"

Heart squeezing in her chest, Sansa gave into the rage rolling through her. She ignored the murmuring and shouting around her as she raised her voice to be heard above everyone.

"I did it!"

Silence swept through the court as all eyes turned to her. Sansa ignored all of them, turning her head to meet the stony gaze of the oldest Lannister. Her green eyes were fierce and unyielding, lifting her head proudly.

"I did it. I poisoned Joffrey Baratheon."

"Guards, bring her forward," Tywin ordered.

Sansa didn't bother resisting as she was hauled out of the court's section and moved to stand to the right of Tyrion. She didn't dare look at her husband, keeping her eyes locked with Tywin's.

"You confess to poisoning the King, Lady Sansa?"

"Yes," she agreed, her lips curling up into a cold smirk as she raised an eyebrow at him. "I have ample motivation to do it, after all. He killed my Father for treason, for the simple reason that Joffrey Baratheon was a product of incest between the cunt Cersei Lannister and her twin brother, Jaime. The secret that is no longer a secret, I suppose. Then he killed my brother, the one they called the Young Wolf, and my Mother. Your underhanded tactics, killing my mother and brother at his very own wedding, was cowardly. Lions are known for bravery. That was not the act of a brave or honorable man, Tywin Lannister."

Sansa tilted her head, fierce green clashing with raging emerald as she met Cersei's gaze.

"I have been kept in this god forsaken pit of a city for years. You call me little Dove, the traitor's daughter. What you forget is that I am a Stark and that the North remembers," she smiled a savage smile at Cersei, baring her teeth. "You call Tyrion a monster. Frankly, he is the most honorable and bravest man I have ever met, certainly the best of House Lannister."

It was so silent in the court room as everyone digested her words. Cersei looked like she wanted to tear her apart and Tywin was as cold as stone.

"Oh, before I forget," Sansa turned, ignoring the way the guard's hands tightened their grip on her arms. She twisted her head until her eyes locked with Shae's. "You are a liar, a gold digging skank that I almost trusted. When I get my hands on you, you will regret what you said about my husband."

The woman drew back, visibly frightened, seeing the resolve in her eyes.

"Lady Sansa Lannister, you are guilty of the worst crime, the murder of your King. Take her to the black cells," Cersei ordered, lips pulling into a vindictive smile. "Enjoy your last night alive, little Dove."

Sansa only smiled as she was led out of the courtroom, her eyes briefly meeting her husband's. He looked like he wanted to follow her, to save her, and he seemed horribly confused, not understanding why she would do such a thing.
