"LISTEN LITTLE PEOPLE!!" He exclaimed. "I dunno WHO you are or WHY you came, but I'll tell you this much—I, AM THE KING HERE, and whatever I say goes. If YOU TWO are trying to start a rebellion, well—heh, you got another thing coming!"

Clara and the Nutcracker gulped as the mouse king drew his sword.

Though the hilt was made from taffy and the blade was made from a candy cane, it still looked incredibly threatening.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!" The Mouse King exclaimed as he charged directly at Clara and the Nutcracker.

"I've got an idea..." the Nutcracker said. "But you're not gonna like it..."

"Wha—" Clara asked, but before she could even answer, the Nutcracker tied a piece of rope around her waist.

The Nutcracker then threw the other piece around a large tree stump.

"HANG ON!" He said.

"YOU REALLY SHOULD'VE THOUGHT THIS THROOOOOOOOOOOOOUGH!!" Clara exclaimed before falling down with the Nutcracker.

"AW, DANGIT!!" The mouse king exclaimed.

Down Clara and the Nutcracker fell, thousands upon thousands of feet below. The surface was so white that the two of them could not tell exactly where they would land.

"KEEP YOUR LEGS STRAIGHT!!" The Nutcracker called to Clara.

Clara tried to hold her legs as straight as she possibly could, but with at the velocity that she and the Nutcracker were falling, it seemed impossible.

"OOMPH!" They both exclaimed as they landed into a large mound of snow.

The Nutcracker shuffled around and picked Clara out from the snow, dusting her off.

"Thanks..." Clara said.

"Don't mention it." The Nutcracker replied.

The two began to walk the long, slow trek to the east.

"We should be approaching Candyland momentarily." The Nutcracker said after a little while.

"Oh, cool!" Clara said. "Say, can I eat the candy over there?"

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!!" The Nutcracker exclaimed. "Look, the people of the candy land don't like...being eaten. Like, at all."

"Why?" Clara asked.

"I dunno...do HUMANS like EATING each other?!" The Nutcracker exclaimed.

Clara gulped.

"Good point." She replied.
