At last, after much walking, Clara and the Nutcracker had reached Candy Land. The surface was no longer snowy, it appeared to be made from cotton candy—as a matter of fact, everything appeared to be made of some form of confectionery.

Even the houses that made up the small town in front of Clara and the Nutcracker were made from candy—gingerbread walls, gumdrops lining the pathways, candy cane street lamps.

A crew of living gingerbread men suddenly popped out of nowhere. One of them held up a taffy scroll as the others blew on Pixie Stick horns.

"ALL HAIL HER MAJESTY, THE SUGAR PLUM FAIRY!" The gingerbread man shouted.

"Sugar plum fairy?" Clara asked.

Clara's mouth dropped when she saw the sheer beauty of the fairy.

She was beautiful—dark brown skin, bright pink hair, a slim body with a long torso. She wore a mint green jacket with a matching pink tank top and white skirt, with pink high heels. Bright, sheer, pink wings jutted out from her back, and on her face, she had two gorgeous eyes and thin, attractive, pink lips.

A smaller gingerbread man placed a boom box on the ground, and pressed play.

(Instrumental hip hop "Dance of the Sugarplum fairy" plays)

"Yo Yo,

Wazzup',

It's ya girl Suga' Plum,

Keep ya' mouth closed, girl,

Don't be actin' dumb!"

The fairy closed Clara's mouth, even though Clara was still very much in shock at her appearance.

"I gots da magic,

Da pow'uh,

Da supa' fly spells,

They comin' out every hour,

You'll be like, the HELL?!"

The Sugar Plum fairy rapped, while creating a massive shower of sparkles. Some gingerbread men stood next to her—one wrote her name in graffiti, another one breakdanced.

"Kids,

they love ta' eat sweets,

Folks,

they wanna eat me,

Watch yo self,

Before ya get

That di-a-be-tes!"

The Sugar Plum fairy scratched a couple of records, while one of the gingerbread men rode in a low-rider, and another "made it rain" with strips of taffy.

"Hey Nut-cracker,

Covered in lacquer,

Later we'll date,

Are you gonna act first?"

The Sugar Plum fairy walked over to the nutcracker and sultrily waved at him. The Sugar Plum Fairy continued to rap and look at the Nutcracker like she was trying to woo him. Clara groaned a little at the fairy's romantic advances, for she'd seen this before...namely with her folks.

"They say the candy may be dandy,

Yet the liquor is quicker,

My chocolate's so sweet,

It be gettin' thicker an' thicker

Y'all lookin' kinda hungry,

Eat this humanoid Snickers!" The sugarplum fairy handed Clara a small snickers bar with eyes and gloves hands.

One of the gingerbread men jumped atop a chair and pulled on a string, causing a glass of milk to fall on his head and rub it all over his body.

"Now back to the matter at hand,

Ya best run, run, run,

Ya little gingerbread man!

It's my plan to rule this sweet land,

Where I stand,

Is a great place, don't gimmie

Flak, man!

PEACE!"

The Sugar Plum fairy finished by perfectly landing one of her breakdance moves with the gingerbread men.

"Wow..." The Nutcracker smiled once the fairy was done with her performance. "That was...wonderful."

"Uh, you okay?" Clara asked the Nutcracker, who was beginning to get flushed in the face.

"She's my—my girlfriend." The Nutcracker smiled. "And she's awesome."

"Well go on, go talk to her!" Clara replied, pushing the Nutcracker closer to the Sugarplum fairy.

The Nutcracker slowly gazed back at Clara, then started to get flustered as the fairy turned around.

"H-h-hi, Monique..." the Nutcracker giggled awkwardly as he approached the fairy woman.

"Oh, Nutcracker!" The Sugarplum fairy replied. "How are you? Oh! And who is this lovely little lady?" The fairy asked, noticing Clara.

"I'm Clara, your majesty.." the girl bowed, then stood back up. "We are going on a quest to defeat the Mouse King. Will you please help us?"

"I cannot come with you on your journey." The fairy replied, "For like the subjects I rule, I too, am made from confectionery and if I were to leave my beautiful candy kingdom, I would surely melt or get eaten."

"Darn." Clara replied.

"But should you need my guidance, dear, sweet Clara..." the Sugar Plum fairy replied, pulling out a clear-colored fruit that appeared to be filled with sparkles. "Take this enchanted sugarplum—when you're in trouble, take a bite and it shall help you in your time of need.."

"Thank you so much.." Clara took the odd-looking fruit and placed it into the backpack on the Nutcracker. "But what is your na—"

"No time.." The sugarplum fairy replied, materializing into a flurry of pink sparkles. "I have an urgent meeting involving...chocolate fondue."

As soon as the fairy had disappeared, Clara only looked in disbelief.

"Wow." Clara replied. "That was rude—didn't even tell me her name...wait, how'd she know MINE?!"

"It's Monique." The Nutcracker replied.
