Chapter 5! Whooooooop, don't worry this chapter will be a bit longer and don't worry about sora and ellie being super bored, they will have some excitement real soon. Without further ado i present chapter 5 and i don't own gacha world
(the next day)
"Hey Ellie? Do you think that the girl in green we just saved will actually make it to the town we're headed to?" I asked, yesterday after stopping by that creek and talking about corruption, me and Ellie had run into a jester girl in distress. The goblins had been a piece of cake and had died so easily, they were so weak…
"Yah i think jester will be just fine! I taught her a few attacks so if she's jumped again she can at least take a few of them out.'' Sometimes Ellies happiness was a little contagious, I had no choice but to laugh and pat her head as we continued walking. Our stomachs no longer rumbled since jester had been kind enough to give us some food, sadly i only ate a tiny bit since i had been stuck trying to stop a nosebleed. The jester's outfit had been a size too small for her and she hadn't noticed a bit. Thankfully both jester and Ellie were super innocent and didn't deduce why i was bleeding from my nose.
I may be in a girl's body but I still had very male thoughts. My thoughts shattered at the sudden sound of a gun shot followed by the crashing weight of someone crashing into me. I groaned and tried to push whatever fell on me off but instead grabbed something squishy, strange…
"EEEK!?" the weight was suddenly gone and I could breathe again, coughing. I looked over at who had fallen on me and found my gaze settling on a demon with her arms crossed over her chest. Blood was dripping from what looked like a bullet hole in her shoulder.
"Sora! What did you do to this poor girl, she looks terrified of you" Ellie yelled at me as she started petting the demon.
"I didn't do anything! She fell on me!" I pointed at the fairy, she was about to yell something back at me when I felt the cold muzzle of a gun press against my neck. The demon girl did her best to hide behind Ellie, but it wasn't a very good hiding place since Ellie was only a foot tall.
"Hand over the demoness" the guns owner ordered, man this guy's voice sounded like it needed some serious lemon tea with honey or something. I calmed my racing heart and slowly tilted my head ever so slightly before flashing my hand out and up knocking the gun upwards and away from my head. Then with a quick twist and kick I had the attacker flat on his back.
"Next time just ask nicely without putting a gun to people's head" I smiled fakely and turned to the demon girl.
"Yo what's up with this dude" i asked, the girl looked at me and then the fallen dude dressed in black clothes.
"Well one m-minute i'm t-taking a nap in the d-demon realms a-and the next i'm here" the girl stuttered.
"If that is true then you are not the source of evil i am searching for, i apologize for trying to kill you" the gunner had gotten up and was now on one knee bowing to the demon. The dude looked like a dark elf, his pointy ears and dark grey skin stood out a lot in this forest.
"Ok you were saying something about a great evil?" I asked the elf, this had peaked my interest, Ellie seemed to also be enthralled by this and was hovering above my head.
"Well last week while i was out in the forest I suddenly sensed an overpowering dark presence. So i have been searching for it and mistook this demon as the source" The elf explained, me and ellie nodded at each other, this must be the corruption in the forest that we were searching for. We were also searching for a town because we had absolutely no supplies still.
"Alright well thank you, me and Ellie will go deal with this, if you would please just point to where the source is coming from?" I asked, the elf nodded and pointed to the west before walking over to the demon.
"Uuum, would you please accept a dinner paid by me as a more formal apology?" the demons cheeks blushed a tiny bit before she nodded. I sent Ellie a knowing look as we watched the two disappear together into the woods.
"Alright ellie, we have a job to do right?" Ellie nodded and took her place on my shoulder as we headed into a darker more sinister part of the woods.

Ok so in this chapter we see a blooming romance between a dark elf and demon girl, we probably won't see them for a while, if ever. And Ellie and Sora have gotten directions to the first corrupted soul.
