They arrived back at the Dalek lab with the Doctor already raging. "Those people were defenseless! You only wanted us, but NO. That wasn't enough! You had to go killing the innocent because that is what Daleks are good for! Killing!"
"Their deaths were wrong." Dalek Sec murmured.
"Wait, what?"
"Their leader, that man, Solomon. He showed courage."
"And that's good?" Zuri asked.
"That's excellent." He confirmed. "You are the last of your kind," he faced the Doctor again. "And I am the first of mine."
"So what do you need me for?" Zuri noticed the Doctor was trying hard to keep their attention off of her.
"We tried everything to survive when we were stranded in this ignorant time. We tried growing new embryos, but they were too weak."
"Yeah, found one of your little experiments. Just left to die in the dark."
"We were forced to conclude the greatest resource on this planet was its people." Dalek Sec flipped a switch and hundreds of people were revealed. Their bodies lay suspended on racks, medical equipment wired up to them. "We stole them. We stole human beings for our purposes. Look inside. This is the Final Experiment."
"Are they dead?" Zuri asked. The Daleks turned violently.
"Near death, with their minds emptied and ready to be filled with new ideas. Dalek ideas." Dalek Sec assured.
"Is there any way to restore them?" The Doctor asked.
"Everything they were has been lost."
At that point, the Daleks showed the Doctor their plans, but Zuri was distracted by the Dalek herding her out of the room.
She was shuffled into a side chamber, the Dalek nudging her in a way that would be reminiscent of a dog leading you to the food bag if it weren't so terrifying.
"What's going on?" She tried to ask, but it just pushed her back into the corner.
"Lock the door." The Dalek ordered a pig man that appeared out of nowhere. "The Rebel will wait." Then it was gone.
There was a long wait, and then the Dalek returned. "Stand and follow."
Zuri pulled herself from the floor where she had sat against the wall and followed the Dalek. They met up with the other two Daleks and Dalek Sec, who was now chained and on all fours.
"Doctor located. Advance. Advance." The Dalek behind her ordered.
Zuri and Dalek Sec were forced forward as the second Dalek blew a hole in the wall before them.
"The Doctor will stand before the Daleks. You will die, Doctor. This is the beginning of a new age."
"Planet earth will become a new Skaro."
"Oh, and what a world." The Doctor didn't seem to notice Zuri behind the Daleks. She found it odd he hadn't seemed to notice he left her behind, but there was a time limit on him...
"With anything just the littlest bit different being ground into the dirt." He interrupted her musing. "That's Dalek Sec, do you remember? The cleverest Dalek ever and you've done what to him? Hmm, is that your new empire? The foundation for a whole new civilization."
"My Daleks," Dalek Sec interrupted. "Understand... if you choose death and destruction, death and destruction will choose you."
"Incorrect. We will always survive. Now the Doctor and the Rebel will die."
The Doctor perked up at that. "Leave Zuri alone!"
"Exterminate." The Dalek fired, and two bodies hit the floor. Dalek Sec had thrown himself in front of the Doctor, but Zuri wasn't so lucky.
"No!"
A lot happened in the next few moments, but the world seemed a blur to the Doctor. Zuri was dead. So many adventures that would never happen now. In the commotion of dealing with the remaining Daleks, he completely missed her body disappearing with a blue flash...
