Chapter 14

Well well well weve made it to chapter 14, and to Xkour. Right now we have one motion sick Fairy, one Sora that wants to find a shop and her memories, and one big corruption issue. By the way if the views on this story rise above 100 i will make a discord Deaths blade fanclub for people to talk about the story and for me to alert people of updates. Ok i've talked enough, without further or due. Chapter 14! (i don't own gacha world)

I munched slowly on a cheese stick as I sat on a ledge overlooking a large Xkour course. My Gacha summoner screen was hovering infront of me, informing that I had acquired several 5 star gacha tickets. I didn't have a light unit currently on my team… and all the other light units I had pulled so far didn't seem to fit the position right.

"Oh what the hell" I pressed use all and watched as several different units appeared before me. Earlier today I had spent nearly a thousand gems on Gacha pulls, I was now down to a little above 2 thousand gems left. A little ding told me that all the gacha tickets had been used. I looked over the summoned units and froze when one particular one caught my eye.

"Kitsune… Mitsuko…" I breathed, she looked so familiar, could she be the one I had been searching for in my gacha pulls? She had to be… I hadn't felt this kind of connection with any of the other light type units I had pulled from the gacha system. My fingers twitched as I scrolled through my current units and switched mitsuko with a dark type neko. Sadly I could feel my attack power and health lower due to the kitsunes low level. But that could be fixed quickly with some combat training.

I looked over to my right at my slumbering companion Ellie. She had spent an entire hour yesterday hurling her stomach over a ledge, she had such a weak stomach when it came to motion. But I couldn't blame her, after testing my limits a bit after Atom left I had spent 10 minutes on my back begging the world to stop spinning.

I finished off my snack and slowly picked up the sleeping Fairy, she looked so cute and innocent when she slept. I wanted to protect that, I wanted to protect Ellie from the corruption. Nodding to myself I launched myself off the ledge and started running along the buildings. There appeared to be more monsters everywhere, this didn't seem like a normal world anymore. I had for the most part stayed atop the buildings, but maybe the answer was down in the slums that made up the streets? Only one way to find out.

Gravel crunched under my boots as I landed in the middle of a destroyed part of the city. It almost looked like this part of Xkour was meant for those that enjoyed apocalyptic surroundings. My steps echoed as I walked with Ellie still slumbering in my arms, man this Fairy could sleep. I checked my surroundings and found one small building that didn't appear to be destroyed or damaged much.

Upon opening the door a little bell sounded from above making me stiffen and reach slowly for my sword.

"Ah welcome to wandering Luxu's trading post, how may I help you?" a man with a cloak appeared from behind a counter directly in front of me, he must be luxu.

"What kind of equipment do you have?" I asked, if this was a store then maybe I could find new clothes, my current summoner robe had holes in it and my shirt was in shreds, whenever i meet other people i'm pretty sure they wonder why i'm dressed in such destroyed clothing. Luxu leaned against the counter and seemed to think for a moment, I could tell he had snow white hair, however he wore a weird black scarf that covered his mouth and nose. As for his eyes, they were the color of a red rose.

"I might have the thing for you, come this way" he motioned for me to follow him, when he finally stopped walking we were directly in front of a glass case showing off a black and purple hoodie with dark grey and purple skirt with matching stockings.

"How much" luxu thought for a minute before answering.

"1000 gems…" my eyes almost bulged out of my sockets, how did he know about gems! Also why was this outfit so damn expensive. I could afford this but still, was it the best course of action?

"Mmm… sora… where are we?..." Ellie yawned and slowly blinked her eyes open before turning her gaze onto the outfit in front of us. "HOLY FUCKING HELL!" she screamed before pasting herself the glass. Both me and luxu stumbled back in surprise, after recollecting ourselves the seller burst out laughing.

"Little Fairy you have a good eye, you see the true value of this outfit" I looked over at Ellie who was now extremely close to my face.

"You have to buy this! It's enchanted with mending, and magic amplification!" she yelled right before grabbing my color and shaking me, how was she this strong?!

"O-o-o-o-ok" I said shakily, I reached into my pouch and summoned the 1 thousand diamonds, well I didn't really use my hand and pluck them out one by one, they kinda erupted from my pouch.

"Alright kid, the suits yours now, enjoy it…" luxu collected his payment and started walking out the front door, I reached my arm out to stop him but he was already gone, no trace of where he had disappeared to.

"So Ellie, what's so good about magical amplification?" I asked after getting dressed.

"Do you ever wonder what the coins you keep earning do? Well you can use them to buy food and some things but their main purpose is for upgrading the amplification magic. Right now the amplification is at 1% but if you upgrade it to 100% or past that it will double or even triple your current power" the fairy explained. Damn… this armor seemed worth it, also it looked pretty cute on me.

"Alright then, I better upgrade it" I patted Ellie's head and started walking out of the store and down the street, towards my destiny. Whatever it was.

3rd POV

Unknown to Sora and Ellie as they left the building, they were being watched. A shadow stood atop an almost entirely destroyed church before vanishing into dust.
