Chapter 15
Welcome one and all to chapter 15, now shall we begin? Ok then we shall. I don't own gacha world.
Sora POV
This new outfit really did fit my body well, it wasn't baggy or anything… wait… if it isn't baggy… does that mean this outfit was meant for a boy? Or a girl with a flat chest like me. I could feel heat rushing up to my cheeks as these thoughts circulated through my head.
"Hey you!" a voice sounded from above, a quick look up told me everything I needed to know. There was a red haired dude barreling straight for me, fire burning in his wake. I stepped back and watched as he landed in front of me, creating a crater in the ground. "I challenge you to a race!"
"A race, where to?" I asked, a race could be beneficial to me. I was only level 28 and this could be a way to earn more experience for both me and my gacha units.
"I'm blaz and I say to the top of… that building!" Blaz pointed down the street towards a large office building about 200 stories high. With a small sigh I got into a crouch and prepared myself to run. My challenger grinned and took my position as a yes and got into a similar one.
"On 3, 1… 2… 2 ½!" I almost lept forward but halted myself, embarrassment filled my cheeks and I glanced over at Blaz to see he was grinning like a fool. I decided then that I was going to beat this son of a bitch no matter what.
"3!" at that we both shot off, the red haired teen leaping onto a platform while I sprinted ahead. This kinda reminded me of something from my world, the memory was hazy but I think it had to do with a blue hedgehog, that didn't make sense.
"Sora! Activate your armor!" Ellie cried over the wind, oh yah, she was in my hood trying to take a nap.
"Thanks for the reminder Ellie!" I yelled over the wind that was rushing past due to our speed. The armor I had bought yesterday from a guy called luxu could amplify my current power depending on how much I upgraded it. I had used all of my coins to do that, now it amplified my power by at least 30% when activated. Upon activation my power levels rose a bit and I forced that new power into my legs and forced myself to speed up.
The building was drawing closer and closer, suddenly there was a flash of light and I ducked into a summer sualt. The flash had been the blade of a bandit monster, looks like this race was going to be even more difficult. The monsters in this area were all fire types, thankfully as the gacha summoner I didn't have a type. Instead I could change my power to whatever type I needed.
I did this changing my type to water and creating an aura of Ice around me, this would intimidate any of the lower level monsters to stay back but not the stronger one. My speed had dropped from dodging that blade so I needed to gain some more before I started running up the building.
It was too late, I was at the building and I could only go up, there was no time to stop and try again, I could see blaz already halfway up. I changed my type to wind and began the wall running, my body felt so light with this type, it was useful if you were fighting with water types. But right now it was useful to me for propelling myself upward, I wasn't strong enough to fly but I could definitely propel myself over long distances.
Gravity was my enemy right now, as was time. I only had so much strength, and running straight up drained that considerably. I whipped out my sword and threw it upwards and into the building. Then pushing off with my feet I grabbed the pommel and swung myself upwards taking my sword with me.
I found myself now on a platform about halfway up the building, a quick change to fire type and I was rocketing upwards again just like a rocket. My power reserves were almost empty and pain started to seep into my body as well as almost over bearing heat.
I think Ellie was yelling something but whatever it was she was saying it was lost in all the noise of wind and fire. Finally my power emptied and I was left dangling from a ledge at the top of the building.
"Need some help?" Blaz's face popped over the side, a crazy grin plastered all over his face. I nodded weakly and soon I was propped up against a box at the top of the building.
"That was a fun race, thanks… you really are as crazy as Atom described" the teen laughed, before waving and jumping off the side of the building. Atom… when I saw that bastard again I was going to smack him over the head. But for now… I was going to keep trying to get stronger… and save this world from corruption.
