Chapter 16

It took me several days to fully recover from using all of my power in that race with blaz, however I did learn several things. 1. When I run out of power I revert to that of a normal human being, 2. Normal human beings with no affinity to any type are extremely weak, and finally 3… if I don't wish to become weak I sacrifice energy in my body to fuel the gacha sword. This method is extremely painful and dangerous, it is probably only needed in emergencies.

Other than those things I did not learn anything else from that race, except to not ever allow Ellie to take care of me. Her version of taking care of me involves several painful methods of almost killing me. I have already banished the details from my memory as to not shiver in fear whenever the thought crosses my mind.

"Hey Sora, who do you think we will run into today?" Ellie asked, she fluttered around my head before settling on her usual perch on my shoulder.

"I have no idea, maybe it will be someone not addicted to parkour" I answered hopefully, truly I was getting sick and tired of this world and was almost tempted to try and leave it with the corruption still here. However I know Ellie would force me to come back and deal with it at some point.

"In coming!" someone screamed right before slamming into my side sending all three of us rolling and skidding across the ground. I rolled onto my feet my sword out and at the ready to kill whatever had attacked me.

"Ow…" a groan sounded from below and I looked down to see a brown haired teenage girl lying at my feet, I'm pretty sure she was the one who had run into me. She quickly stood and squinted at me through pain.

"Ah i'm so sorry sir, I didn't mean to run into you. I lost control when running away from some monsters." her apology felt like a stab through the gut, sir? Did she think I was a guy, well technically I was a guy stuck in a girls body but still… I had gotten used to this body and to be called a male while in it…

"Sorry but i'm a girl" I sheathed my sword and hid my discomfort behind a fake smile.

"Oh my god… i'm so sorry… your flat chest threw me off!" she covered her mouth with her hands in shock. Her words seemed to stab me all over, was she trying to kill me?

"Anyway… do you need anything" I wheezed, wiping off the blood coming from my mouth onto my arm I noticed that there were still monsters following her.

"Ah no… I'm actually heading to go meet my friends Atom and Blaz… oh and my name is Cele!" the girl stuck out her hand, I clasped it with mine and shook it well.

"I'm sora! And the one on my shoulder is Ellie" Cele's eyes widened a little and she beamed.

"I've heard about you two, atom and blaz really like you guys and are always saying they should train like you" my eyes widened as well and a quick glance at Ellie told me that she was surprised just like me.

"You wanna come with me to see them?" Cele's brownish red eyes sparkled happily and I ended up nodding for some reason.

"Alright follow me!" and with that we started out jogging, more monsters started to follow but they didn't appear to be catching up. Finally Cele leapt into the air and started flipping and wall jumping her way up to one specific building, great more climbing.

With wind I lengthened my jump and ended up on a platform and lept from there to the next, soon I was atop the roof breathing heavily… damn those platforms there so far apart…

"Well look who it is… Sora how you doing" Atom came and patted my back, Blaz got up from his spot leaning against the wall and welcomed me as well.

"Alright now that we're all here let's do a xkour course!" Cele suggested, the others nodded but something seemed fishy about their eyes… all of them seemed to be filmed over… as if they weren't actually seeing things or… not in control of themselves…

Suddenly a hand clamped onto my mouth and I was dragged from behind to some boxes. My attacker pulled his hand away and looked me dead in the eye. God this guy needed a wardrobe change, everything about him was blue, his clothes, his eyes, god even his hair.

"Sssh i need your help, my friends have been brainwashed, we are currently being held inside this game as hostages. The creator of this world won't let us go!" the guy hissed, everything about this suddenly clicked into place… the corruption must have messed everything up with the creator of this world. But the question was… where was the creator?
