Alright. Second ever fanfic! Let's see if I can do this any better. This time it's gonna be all about my OTP SuFin and Christmas. Happy Holidays, Hetalians!
"Are you sure about this?" Norway looked over the ridiculous amount of candles he had on his desk at Finland.
"You said it would work, so I believe you." Finland held the flower Sweden had given him, the start of all this trouble.
"I said it will probably work."
"As long as the spell wears off by Christmas Eve I'll be fine." Finland handed Norway a letter and gave him a nod.
"Alright." Norway began the spell.
In a small fishing boat off the shore of Iceland, Sweden, who had been trying to sleep, disappeared in a flash of light and a storm of blue and gold glitter. Iceland watched in horror as Sweden disappeared, leaving him on the boat with no-one but Mr. Puffin. He pulled out his phone and called Norway, the cell reception was a little fuzzy, but the call got through.
"Hello?" Denmark picked up the phone, he sounded like he'd been asleep as well.
"Den! Where's Norway? I need to talk to him!" Iceland was getting more panicked by the minute. And his panic was not helped by Mr. Puffin going over to Sweden's bed and pecking at his pillows.
"Mph, What do ya need him for? Talk to me! What's going on?"
"Sweden and I were on a boat, and then he wasn't and there was glitter and- "
"Woah, calm down, buddy." Iceland could hear Denmark scrambling across his house.
Iceland waited for a while, then he heard Norway's annoyed voice yelling at Denmark. 'Why did you have my phone?' 'I don't know, you sounded busy!' Finally Norway took his phone. "Hello?"
"Norge! Sweden was here and then he was gone and then there were sparkles and now I don't know what to do. He's gone, Norway!"
"Hey, it's all right, Ice. Just take a deep breath. He's fine. We'll come on over and explain everything to you."
Clamming Iceland down had taken a while, but when he was finished and hung up the call, Norway took a deep breath and honed in on Iceland's aura. He grabbed Denmark as he plunged through the abyss and landed next to Iceland on a fishing boat. Iceland seemed unimpressed by Norway's use of limbo to travel across space, but grabbed his shoulders. Shaking Norway he demanded "What's happening? Where's Sweden?"
"Relax Ice. Finland asked me to let him run an experiment. But it's all fine."
"What's happening?" Denmark didn't seem panicked yet, just really confused.
"It's actually a really cute story, I'll-" Norway was cut off by Denmark's phone starting to ring.
"It's Sealaa- WAIT we forgot about Sealand!" Denmark looked at Norway panickedly. Denmark and Norway had been letting Sealand and Ladonia stay at their house while Sweden was off with Iceland.
Norway took Denmark's phone. He calmly picked up. "Hei, Sealand."
"Hello? Where are you two? We heard you thumping around but we can't find you anywhere!"
"It's alright Sea. We're just with Iceland for a minute. Do you need anything?"
"Well, no. We were just wondering where you were. We didn't-"
"You'll be alright for a while. Yeah? Good. Bye." Norway hung up the phone and returned to his discussion with his brother. "Anyway, it's a really cute story."
"OoOoh! Story time!" Denmark bounced up and down excitedly. Iceland and Norway just stared at him blankly. It's fine. Denmark thought. I'll just be the energy for all three of us!
"Anyway, I made Finland and Sweden human for a few days-"
"YOU WHAT?!" Iceland and Denmark both screamed.
"Do you have any idea how dangerous that is?"
"Why would you do that?"
"Relax." Norway quietly cut them both off. "There's a perfectly good explanation."
Tino woke up and looked around. He was sitting on a bed in a hotel room. The room was nice enough; it was decorated for Christmas with tinsel over the bedpost and poinsettias on the small desk in the corner. He stood up and stretched. On the desk there was a little letter addressed to Tino, he opened it.
Dear Tino, today is the twentieth of December, and somewhere in this town is a man who might love you more than anything else in the world. You need to find him before the twenty-fourth, Christmas Eve, and see if he still loves you and if you love him back. You can thank me later!
-Santa Clause
Tino looked at the letter. His head buzzed with so many questions. Who even am I? And since when was I gay? Also, why is Santa Clause a matchmaker now? This is all so sudden, what do I even do with this information? He took a deep, calming breath and shrugged. Well, who am I to ignore Santa? Tino headed out the door to find the man who would supposedly be the love of his life.
Berwald woke up in a hotel room, or at least, he assumed it was a hotel room because he would never furnish an actual home like this. He sat up on the bed, he had no idea where he was, but he felt an urge to leave and get out into the world, or at least out of the hotel room he was in. Welp. This is weird. Berwald stood up, grabbed the blue coat on the peg which he assumed was his and headed out the door.
"So Finland asked you to make him and Sweden human to see if Sweden would still love him if they were human, no matter the circumstances." Iceland summarized flatly.
"Yeah, pretty much." Norway affirmed.
"And this is all because of one flower?"
"Yeah."
"Wow" Denmark brushed some tears out of his eyes. "So all Sweden wants is Finland and all Finland wants is total, undying loyalty? That's just so beautiful!"
"Yeah, all you two wanted to do was f-" Iceland was cut off by Denmark.
"But how did he know this would work? Like how does he know they'll even run into each other?"
"I don't know, I don't think he's really one to think that far ahead." Norway put his hand on his chin. Suddenly Iceland had an idea. "I guess we could make that happen…"
