Chapter 18

Ok whew right into chapter 18 we shall go, also there will be a christmas special soon. So please enjoy these chapters. I don't own gacha world, also i now present chapter 18

Sora POV

Cyto was leading me upon a quick but difficult path towards the top of the skyscraper, I had left Ellie behind in charge of watching over the tiny slime we had found. I silently prayed that the little fairy wouldn't do anything to the little monster in an attempt to get back at me for leaving her.

"Not much further!" Cyto called back to me as he dodged a club, there were an increasing number of annoying monsters attacking us the closer we got to the tower. I swung my sword left and right, cutting down goblins and bats alike, their blood made the streets run red and their bodies littered the ground.

"Why are there so many fucking monster!" I yelled at Cyto, he shrugged in response before slamming a skull mage to the side. Fire leapt up my leg as one of the goblins connected their clubs with my body. I funneled more power into the gacha sword and spoke. "Gacha summon! Mitsuko! Gacha summon! Creator Luni!" the sword flashed as the dual summon took hold and both girls appeared.

Blue missiles rained from the sky and a blazing golden light erupted from twin fans, soon only a few stragglers were left on this street which both me and Cyto quickly dispatched.

"Nice move, the tower is surrounded by more monsters so we should find some shelter quickly!" the blue teen huffed and looked at the surrounding buildings.

"Wait why do we need to take shelter?!" I asked, Cyto glanced over at me before resuming scanning our immediate surroundings.

"It's almost night and well, I don't really wanna be fighting while it's dark" I nodded at this, fighting while it's night is extremely difficult because you could almost never see what you're actually hitting. "I think I've found a suitable place, this way quickly" I followed Cyto as he led me down an alley and in front of a steel door. With a quick kick Cyto broke the door open and walked inside.

Sweat raced down my face and I finally felt how exhausted I was, my arms ached from all the sword swinging and my legs ached from running so much.

"Is there a shower in here?" I asked, the room looked like it probably had one, there was a couch in the corner and a dining room and kitchen off to my left. Stairs led to higher floors and there was a closet right beside me.

"3 floor 7th door on the left, that's a room you can take, there's also a shower in there. I'm going to try and make us something to eat" Cyto pointed over to the stairs and I nodded my thanks. The steps up to the third floor seemed to take forever to climb, but I finally dragged myself over the edge of the last step and lay panting in the middle of the hallway.

I finally mustered up the strength and was able to get to my room and undress myself. The hot water from the shower felt heavenly upon my body and the grime and blood that had splattered all over me washed away down the drain.

After I was done with washing myself and dressing again I quickly made my way down stairs for whatever Cyto had prepared for us. Two bowls of quick to make macaroni sat on the table, Cyto was already half way through his bowl and when he noticed me, he motioned towards the other bowl.

"After this I'm going to check the perimeter one last time before turning in for the night, I recommend you also going to sleep soon. It's going to be a busy day tomorrow" Cyto said through a mouthful of food, I nodded in agreement and started shoveling the macaroni into my mouth, the cheesy flavor burst in my mouth. It was one of the most delicious things I had ever tasted.

After dinner I made my way upstairs and into my room, the bed looked so soft and welcoming… but I had something I needed to do before sleeping. The gacha sword laid on the ground where I had set it before showering, unsheathing it I was able to confirm that it was caked in dried blood and gore. With a sigh I began scrubbing the blood off my blade, in the end it looked like it was faintly glowing silver.

My body began to relax the moment I laid myself upon it, my eyes were so heavy and I was so tired. Sleep took over me quickly and I returned to the dark realm with the pedestals. The silver copy of mine was still chained to the ground, but something appeared to be different about her… black veins were branching out from the sword embedded in her chest. The entire left side of my copy was covered with these black veins, but they had not yet climbed up her neck.

"What is this place… and why are you chained…" I crouched beside the chained girl, I got no response… instead I continued to just gaze into the girls silver eyes as they stared upward. I don't know what made me reach out and touch the chained persons arm… but the moment I did pain flooded my entire body, my vision started doubling and all the pedestals briefly turned into females, I recognized Ellie, Luni, Lilith, and mitsuko among the girls but then they returned to their forms of pedestals and the pain rose.

My vision continued to fade in and out of reality, pain burned through my veins and every breath was like breathing glass. Tears sprung from my eyes, and I felt something brush my face. It was warm and soft and I was soon gazing into large purple eyes, it was the girl who had called me big brother in my fight with kuku… but why was she here… was it a memory?

"Big brother… Have you ever wished to be stronger? To protect those who cannot protect themselves?" my sister asked me, her voice sounded so faint… but I nodded my head, I did want to protect those that were weaker than me. I wanted to protect my friends and… I wanted to protect Ellie, without Ellie I'm sure that I would have already died.

"Then I will help you, so that when we meet again you will protect me from the growing darkness surrounding our world… I miss you big brother" the pain in my body vanished and instead I felt energy growing deep inside of my body. The snap of chains surrounded me, 4 of the chains holding down the silver copy of myself had shattered and the orbs atop the pedestals glowed and rose into the air. The gacha sword appeared in front of me and absorbed all of the orbs before slowly settling onto the ground before me. Upon the swords hilt there were 4 new gem stones, one for each orb it had swallowed.
