Chapter 21
Oooooh Sora got corrupted heh heh heh, ok i don't own gacha world and I welcome you to chapter 21
3rd POV
Sora pushed herself up and looked around for a minute, with all the rain falling everywhere it made it hard to see for her.
"Give me my friends!" Luna came flying out of the mist and slammed Sora back into the ground, blood shot out of her mouth.
"I don't have your friends!" The summoner coughed, her arms were raised in an attempt to ward off more attacks from the corrupted person.
"Give me back Cyto! Atom! Blaz! Cele! GIVE THEM BACK!" Luna continued shrieking. Anger rose inside of Sora like the tide rising to meet the moon, with a jerk of her arm Sora found herself on top of Luna. Then Sora pressed her corrupted hand to the purple girl's face and forced the little energy she had left from the gacha sword. Luna twitched for a moment but then went still, when Sora lifted her hand she saw tears racing down Luna's face. Clear eyes stared up at her own.
"Please… i just want my friends back" the girls cried, Sora sighed and smiled down at her.
"Your friends are still here, come on, i'll bring you to Cyto" they both got up, one covered in blood and corruption and the other a crying wreck.
Sora POV
The rain continued to fall around me as we walked down the street, thankfully all the monsters had already disappeared when I had destroyed the corruption inside Luna. but now it appeared that I had become corrupted as well… was I still the Gacha summoner? Did I still have the power to protect my friends and family? All these thoughts raced through my head as we turned the corner down another street.
"Sora!" Ellie's voice sounded behind me, suddenly I felt warm arms circling my waist. I turned around to find a 3 foot Ellie hugging me, how had she grown so big?
"Ellie? Oh it's so good to see you" my arms wrapped around her returning the hug that she had started. Her warm body close to mine reminded me that no matter what I could not stop fighting to protect her.
"Master!" a new set of arms wrapped around me causing me to jerk away and whip out my sword.
"Wait! Sora! It's just Shu!" Ellie let go of me and stood between me and the new person. The fairy was actually standing between me and a… slime girl? What the hell?
"Um… who is this?" I asked, putting away my sword I walked forward and examined the girl more.
"You remember that slime from earlier?" Ellie asked, I nodded, I did in fact remember the slime. "Well she ate one of the gems I was going to give you and evolved into well… what you see before you. After talking a bit I decided to give her the name Shu" The slime waved at me with an adorable smile.
"Alright, now explain to me why you're all slimy if all you did was talk… hmmm?" I asked, cocking an eyebrow and doing my best to hide a mischievous grin from Ellie. The Fairy's face turned red and she started stuttering and mumbling. Shu walked… or slid? Over to Ellie and wrapped her arms… no tentacles? Around her and hugged the Fairy.
"Mistress was very cold so I Did my best to warm her up" the slime explained, I just started laughing. My ribs hurt so much when I finally was able to stop myself and whip my tears away.
"Alright, Shu treat Ellie well alright" the joke made tiny little bits of red appear on the slimes cheeks but she still nodded.
"Ok so where too next Sora!" Ellie asked, probably to change the subject away from the pair's relationship. The smile on my face vanished and I sat down on the sidewalk, turning my head so they wouldn't see my eye. "Sora?"
"I don't know if we're going anywhere anymore" I confessed, the corruption in my veins seemed to hum with all my darkest desires and emotions, as if telling me to let loose everything bottled up.
"What do you mean?" Ellie was beside me now, Shu stood off to the side. Maybe she was shy?
"I've become… corrupted…" my voice was only a whisper but I could see the Fairies eyes widen and tears gathering inside. "When I was fighting Luna… I think I died… and then there was nothing but empty darkness in all directions. When I was in there the corruption struck… taking my eye and replacing it… with this…" I turned my head enough for the two to see the new organ.
"Oh Sora…" Ellies hands were covering her mouth as she cried silently, I guess that it was as bad as I thought it would be. Then resting my sword across my legs I started wiping the rain off it and looking at it's new design, the way the veins interlocked was maddening… is that all corruption is? Madness? Suddenly the blade started glowing, and then me, then Ellie, and finally Shu… with a flash of light we were standing on what looked like a rainbow bridge above the clouds.
