Hey guys! Sorry it took so long for an update. The other day was my birthday, btw. July 8th, and now I'm fifteen! Thanks for your patience! I did a bit of reorganizing the chapters, because I want it to be like a real Nexo Knights season. So I made a chapter plan, and there are twenty chapters. Thanks for the reviews, follows, and favorites!

Ace, the squire bot, was tied to a chair in front of a table. Across from him on the wall was a mirror the he could assume had a window on the other side. He frowned. He had been accidentally left behind by Rift, and now he was in the custody of the royal guard. They still hadn't been able to get the power back on, so it was dark. The only light came from Ace's robotic eyes.

The door creaked as two knights stepped into the room. The first had curly orange hair and headphones. His uniform was green, the armor glowing a bit from Nexo power. His eyes were deep brown and freckles dotted his face.

The other knight that followed him was a blond boy, his hair swept out of his face. His skin was pale and his teeth shined white, a nice complement to his cool blue eyes. His armor was clean and white, his family crest held in the center of his armor. And a quite popular family crest too. He was part of the Richmonds.

Ace was tense. He knew he was bad at keeping secrets, and he knew he couldn't let their plan out. He looked around nervously. The knight in green pulled out a crossbow.

"Tell us what's up with that Rift guy, or else I'll make you wish you were never created!" he threatened, startling the robot. The white knight's eyes widened and he pulled back his friend. "What are you doing?" he whispered, though Ace could hear it all. "What? I thought we were doing good cop, bad cop," the green boy said. The white knight raised an eyebrow. "And who are you? Dangerously unstable cop?" he questioned. (A/N, a little Milo Murphy's Law reference for ya!)

The knights turned back to Ace. "Just tell us everything you know, and you can go," the white knight said. Ace avoided eye contact with him. "My lips are sealed," Ace said, crossing his arms. The green knight frowned. "I told you my way was better," he remarked.

Ignoring his friend, the white knight said, "What if I said please?" Ace was confused at why he ever thought that would work. "Pretty please? I'll pay you," the knight pleaded. When Ace didn't answer, the knight threw his hands in the air frustrated. "Ugh, I just want to finish this interrogation already so we can get back to the party!" he whined.

"Lance, chill out," the green knight said. Then he turned to face Ace. "How about we start simple. What's your name, and why were you in the palace?" Ace finally gave in. "I'm Ace, and I- I was on a mission with my master and creator," he explained. Lance raised an eyebrow. "Creator?" he said. "Who is this Rift guy anyways?" the green knight asked.

The robot was quiet. He had already told too much, and if he did ever get out of here, he didn't want to face Ruina's wrath. She already didn't like him as it was.

"Come on, spill," the green knight pressed on. "We could do this all night long."

Lance raised a hand. "Actually, Aaron, we got a ceremony type thing in the morning for beating the Collossus, and I'm already really tired, so I'm not so sure I want to do this ALL night," he corrected.

Aaron shot him a look. "Well, yeah, but he didn't know that!" he exclaimed. Ace raised an eyebrow. Had they ever done an interrogation before? Because he didn't think this is how they went.

"Anyways," Aaron said, getting back on track. "Who is Rift, and what did he have to do with the EMP?" Lance waved his hand around thinking. "And why didn't the EMP effect you? All the other squire bots are offline. Even Denis, and he's the best bot money can buy," he wondered. Aaron put a finger to his chin. "Yeah, good point, I didn't think of that. How come?"

"My creator built me to withstand pretty much anything, including an EMP," Ace explained. Aaron raised an eyebrow. "Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole purpose of an EMP?"

"Rift, your creator? Tell us more about him," Lance said. "He's great with gadgets, and he-" Ace stopped himself, catching that he was telling them too much. "Why did he set off the EMP? Is he working with someone?" Aaron asked. Ace went quiet. Aaron took his silence as an answer. "He is? Who?"

"I won't say anything else! You can't make me talk!" Ace said determined. Lance rolled his eyes. "Come on, you've been so cooperative up until now," he commented. Aaron thought about that. "Yeah. What's up with that?" he wondered.

"Well, when Rift created me, he used a bit of parts from old broken squire bots. That included some programming that requires me to respond to the law and authority," he explained. Aaron let out a chuckle. "A bad guy programmed to obey the law? Now that's priceless," he chortled. Ace frowned. "I can be evil if I want to," he huffed. "Aw, he's trying so hard," Lance teased.

Ace face palmed. If only they knew their real plan.

"I've got the book!" Ruina called meeting back at Rift's base. She glanced around. No one was there except for Monstrox, but he was currently just a glass shard. "Where's Rift?" she asked. As if on cue, Rift stepped into the bunker. "Nice, you got the book! Now to bring back Monstrox," he said. Ruina set the book out on the table.

"Go get your contraption or whatever and let's get this over with," she said, trying to find the spell. Rift stepped over to Ruina. "Hey Ace, can you go get it?" he called. No response. "Ace?" After a few moments, Rift realized his bot wasn't there.

"Dang it, I knew I forgot something!" he said, snapping his fingers. Ruina sent him a glare. "You forgot your robot!? How do you even do that!" Rift rubbed the back of his neck. "I thought he was right behind me," he said. Ruina face palmed.

"That robot could give away all our plans! Then they'll be prepared for our attack!" Monstrox exclaimed. Rift sighed and moved to leave. "I'll go get him," he said. Ruina grabbed his wrist to stop him. "Wait. We can get him while we make our attack on the kingdom," she said. Rift held her hand. She slapped him. "No!" she scolded. Then she pulled away from him.

Rift smiled to himself. Oh, she is so into me.

"Found it!" Ruina exclaimed. She examined the page of the book. "I found the spell to transfer Monstrox into a hologram," she smiled. Rift went to another room and came back with his invention. It was a set of mechanical legs. The metal was dark and the spider legs were sharp and rigid.

"Alright then, it's all set," Rift said, showing off his creation. Taking her wand, Ruina preformed the spell. Green magic flowed from the shard to the mechanical legs. Soon, the magic formed a holographic image. Monstrox.

Monstrox let out an evil laugh. "Yeah! Monstrox is back baby!" he shouted. Ruina smirked while Rift put his hands proudly on his hips.

"So now what? The three of us won't be able to make a full-scale attack," Rift said. "What other spells are in that book Stoneheart? We could use them," he asked. Ruina bit her lip, flipping through the pages.

She scanned over the pages, looking for anything they could use to their advantage. "There's a summoning spell. We could use that to get some extra force," she suggested. "Now that's an idea," Rift commented. They stepped outside the bunker, out in the open woods. She preformed the spell, summoning several robotic spiders and soldiers out of nothing.

"Now that we've got an army, we can defeat my brother and those annoying knights!" Ruina smiled.

"I've got something special planned for Merlok," Monstrox added.

Ava arrived at the palace and met up with Macy, Axl, and Clay. "I'm here. What's all this about an EMP?" she asked. "Earlier all the power went off. This masked guy used an EMP on the power box and it's fried," Macy explained. Ava thought it over. "The power is out at the Fortrex too," she said.

She followed the knights to the power box so she could investigate it. Looking it over, she frowned. "Well, it's messed up alright. It'll take a while for me to fix it," she said. "But while the power is down, we're vulnerable. Someone could attack us while we're weak!" Clay said. Ava rolled her eyes. He was always so paranoid.

Meanwhile, Merlok was trapped inside the digital world. "What's going on?" he questioned. He couldn't contact the knights, due to the power outage. Specs of data flowed through the digiverse. He walked around, bored. "It must be another glitch. Poor Ava, always trying to fix me," he thought out loud.

"Oh, it's more than a glitch," a voice said. Merlok flinched. "Who's there?" he called. He was used to being alone in the digital world, so hearing someone else was strange. "Merlok, you know perfectly well who I am." That voice was so familiar. Merlok tensed up. "Monstrox," he grumbled.

The hologram of Monstrox appeared before the wizard. He was green with a long dark cloak over him. His hood covered most of his face, but Merlok could still see his expression.

"We defeated you! How are you back!" he questioned. "Merlok, I am the great Monstrox! I can't be defeated! I'm as real as the night and day!" Monstrox announced. Merlok glared at him. "How are you a hologram?" he asked.

"I've made a few friends lately. You might know one of them, Wanda," Monstrox said. Merlok frowned. "What do you want?" he demanded.

"I want you gone. And now that I'm a hologram, I have the perfect opportunity to do so," Monstrox grinned. His hologram sunk into the floor, and suddenly everything turned green around them. Merlok looked around worried. "I've got to warn the knights," he said under his breath. Taking hold of his staff, he tried to start a spell.

To his surprise, the edge of his cloak began to turn green. The virus was spreading. Merlok gasped and worked faster. Using his magic, he created seven Nexo shields. They glowed bright gold.

On each shield was an image. A staff, a hammer, a sword, a mace, an axe, a lance, and a crossbow. He nodded to himself. Then using his magic, he recorded a message. The knights had to know.

The virus crept up his cape. He frowned, not much time left. "Hurry, Nexo knights, we don't have much time!" he finished urgently. Then he shot the Nexo powers out. And the virus consumed him.

Down in the interrogation room, Lance and Aaron had started an argument over nonsense. Neither of them even remembered how the debate had started. Ace just waited uncomfortably for them to stop.

They were distracted from the fight by the a rumbling. The sound of marching. "What's that?" Aaron asked. "Let's go find out," Lance said, slipping on his helmet. The two knights left the room, leaving the robot to himself.

Upstairs, Lance and Aaron met with the other knights. "What's going on up here?" Lance asked. "Looks like we've got an attack on the horizon," Axl said, pointing. Looking over the balcony, they could see an army of men and spiders heading towards the castle.

"I told you," Clay remarked. "Maybe they're just here for the party?" Aaron suggested. One of the men chucked a spear at the green knight. He was just barely able to duck out of the way. "Maybe not," he rethought.

"We need defenses!" Macy called to the guards behind her. They nodded and soon they had all the guards in the palace ready for a fight.

Loud bangs were heard as the army tried to knock down the door. "Knights! At the ready!" Clay ordered. The army burst through the palace walls, and the battle broke out.

Two men jumped on Clay. Using his sword, he pressed back against them. Their weapons clanged together. The bad guys came at him with spears and axes. With one swift slice, he pushed them back. But they were relentless.

Aaron fought of a few monsters. A handful of robotic spiders nipped his feet. "Ow! What the heck are these things! Where did they come from!" he yelped. "They just keep coming!" Macy added, trying to smash a few spiders with her mace.

No matter how hard the knights fought, the hoards kept coming. "We need a combo Nexo power or something!" Lance shouted over the fighting. "We can't. Merlok's still offline," Axl said. Clay frowned. "Sure hope Ava can fix it soon," he said.

Ava worked steadily trying to get the power back on. She heard the sounds of fighting from outside the door. "Maybe Clay was right," she said. Rushing to the door, she quickly locked it and stacked furniture against it. It didn't hurt to be too safe.

As she leaned against the wall, catching her breath, she saw a few small green robotic spiders crawl under the door. She raised an eyebrow at them. "What are you?" she spoke, picking one up. To her surprise, it shot a small spark of electricity, shocking her. She yelped and dropped it. Whatever they were were not friends.

The other spiders edged towards her. She looked around scared. Biting her lip, she thought fast. Grabbing her laptop she had been using, she shut it and clutched it tight to her chest. The laptop had been able to work with the EMP due to her computer skills. She had made it EMP proof, fire proof, water proof, Lance proof, Aaron proof, Gray Knight proof, etc. The spiders were moving fast. She rushed out to the balcony. Glancing around, she looked for any way of escape. She frowned after realizing the only way out would involve parkor, something she wasn't good at.

But she determined it was the only way. Looking back at the spiders, Ava climbed onto the edge of the balcony railing. Over the side, she could see the knights fighting off other monsters. She closed her eyes, not wanting to jump all the way down.

From the corner of her eye, she saw a banner she could use to swing on. She smiled. It was a ways away, but at least it was better than jumped. The spiders were closing in on her. One crawled up her leg, giving Ava the chills. She kicked it away quickly and stomped on another.

Then she took a breath, bracing herself. "You can do this, Ava. They're depending on you," she said. Then she took the leap.

She almost missed the banner. Using her quick thinking, she flung her bag over her shoulder and used it to catch the iron bar holding up the banner. She let out a scream from the feel of falling, but quickly regained her cool. Dangling from the banner, she looked over herself to make sure she was still alive. Holding her computer close in one hand, she tried to climb up the bag strap.

Ava breathed heavily, trying to calm herself. The spiders looked after her from the balcony. She let out a sigh of relief. Making her way across the bar and onto the roof, she started to feel lightheaded from all the action. The most action she had ever seen from the Fortrex was Lance's tablet. Now that had been a nightmare to fix.
