Disclaimers: I do not own PLL or the characters. I do own all OCs.
Spoilers: None.
Rating: K+

Notes: This is written based on my experience of getting a manicure/pedicure, and also how I think the experience may go as far as how the people talk, or what might be available to people who come here on "dates".

This is eleventh grade. Alison is not mentioned. For this prompt, the body found was hers, and the girls got the needed therapy, and were able to properly move on. I mention at the end who Emily is dating.

My longest chapter yet!

Enjoy! :)

*beauty treatments together*

It is an unusual first date, but Aria knows how much Spencer loves these things. It was her favorite thing to do for her birthday when they were younger.

Aria holds the door open for her, hopefully, soon-to-be fulltime girlfriend.

"What do you think?" She asks, slightly holding her breath, preparing for Spencer to be disappointed that she brought them here instead of something like a movie and dinner.

But, the older girl lights up. And she turns to look at Aria with a huge smile.

"I love it."

Aria steps inside the little Salon, reaching out, intertwining their fingers.

"Is this ok?"

Spencer only gets to nod before a woman is coming up to them

"Good afternoon! My name is Laura. How can I help you?"

"Hi, my name is Aria Montgomery. We have an appointment for two."

Laura smiles, "Ah, yes. The Couple's Special. We have a room ready, if you will, please, follow me." She leads them through the large open space that, in the middle, has groups of chairs where people can get a manicure or pedicure, while the walls are lined with individual stations for haircuts, hair styling, etc.

The back has where you would get your hair washed. There are also four individual rooms, and each one has two massage chairs, with a place at the end for a foot bath, and a TV, radio, magazines, and even a… minifridge?

It also has a shelf with fingernail polish along with the necessities for whoever is going to attend to them.

"Here you are. You are booked for one hour and 30 minutes. The fridge is stocked with soda and water, feel free to take whichever. Here is the remote for the TV. Someone will be in to attend to you in just a moment."

They get situated, turning the TV on, flipping through to an episode of Law & Order SVU. Not usually "dating" appropriate, but it is something they both love, though they do turn it off when someone comes in.

For now, though, they are trying to figure out which color polish they want.

"Okay, what about this one?" Aria holds up some shade of light green that has Spencer immediately wrinkling her nose.

"Uh, no. That literally looks like toothpaste, babe."

Aria hides her smile at the term of endearment, glad they agreed before now that it is ok to call each other them. She puts it back and picks up a red bottle.

"What about this?"

"That looks like blood."

"This–"

"– Too brown."

"This?"

"Wow, that's really pink."

Rolling her eyes, (good-naturally) she picks an orangish-red bottle.

"Ok, then how about… this one?"

"Oh, that's pretty." Aria thinks finally, though she can't bring herself to actually be put-out with Spencer's pickiness. "I think I'd like that for my toes."

Aria nods.

"I think I want it for my fingers, and I'll get…" She looks over the skinnier bottles, the ones that are used to draw designs. "This white and have them put polka dots on my… what do you think? Middle fingers or ring fingers?"

Spencer looks it over, holding both nail polishes up, before deciding. "I think your ring fingers would look best."

"Cool! Now we need one for my toes and your fingers. Do you think it'd be weird to match again? Would that be too cliché-couplely?"

"You want the truth?"

Spencer questions, and Aria nods, trying not to look hesitant. Honestly, she would love to match Spencer in the nail polish color but if the older girl thinks it's too weird, she will just have to agree, and try not to look disappointed.

"I think it would be weird if we did the exact same for, say, our fingers. If I were to also get polka dots on my ring fingers that were painted this shade of orange-red. But…"

And here, Aria breathes a sigh of relief.

"We should be fine if we stay away from that." Spencer concludes. Then, she picks up a bottle of light brown, the shade that a new parent may use in their baby's Nursery. "I think I want my fingers painted this, and…" She looks over, hovering her hand around the pinks and purples.

"This. I'll get a stripe on my index finger with this pink. Orange-red, pink, and light brown – Fall colors, since it is October now. Do you want to have your toenails painted to match? You don't have to get the stripe if you don't want, but, ya'know, since my toes match your fingers, I just thought…"

"Yeah." Aria smiles, trying to keep it from getting awkward.

Thankfully, they are saved by the knock at the door, which is followed by it being opened.

"Hello!" It's Oliver Coogan, Ben's older brother.

"Ollie!" Aria is immediately hugging him which he returns enthusiastically once he realizes who the two girls are.

"Well, hello, Miss Aria and Miss Spencer! How are you ladies this fine afternoon?"

"We're great, Ol." Spencer says. "How are you? We haven't seen you and Timothy in forever!"

"My, I know!" Oliver gestures to the two chairs, helping each girl into her seat, then he turns on the little baths to fill up with warm water. While he is doing this, distracted for a moment, Aria notices something, and she gasps, eyes widening.

"Oliver Thomas Coogan! What is that on your finger?!"

Spencer looks startled at her outburst, but then…

She looks closer, and she gapes as she realizes.

"No! Ollie! Is that–…?"

The older man beams, holding his left hand up, to show a simple, gold engagement band on his ring finger.

"It certainly is! Timothy popped the questioned last night!"

Aria squeals as Spencer whoops, and both get up to hug him.

"Oh, my god, Ol. Have you told anyone? You know, Ben talks about you all the time. He and your parents are going to be so thrilled!"

"We're inviting them over tonight for dinner! We'd love to see you girls unless, of course, you two have plans after this?" He wags his eyebrows, the fact that they are in a "couple's room", meant mainly for couples on dates or solo birthday gifts, does not escape him.

Spencer blushes, avoiding eye contact, while Aria answers.

"We wouldn't want to impose, Ollie. This should be a family gathering for you guys."

"Oh, please!" Oliver waves her off. "You girls are family! You're Ben's best friends, and this is something we'd like to share with you."

They agree to it, after a silent discussion with each other. It is 1:30 right now. They have a little over an hour and 10 minutes left. They can go home, and watch a movie for the rest of their date, before getting ready for dinner, which is at 6:30 p.m.

"Alrighty, ladies. Have you chosen your colors?"

"Yep. We want to match without being… weird." Spencer makes a face, causing Aria to choke a little on her Dr. Pepper.

"Woah there, Pretty Lady." Oliver says. "Take it easy. We don't want you choking on that," He leans in inconspicuously for the next part. "I'm not sure how Spencer would take her first mouth-to-mouth with you having to be in a public place."

He says it in a way that makes them understand the "mouth-to-mouth" part would be more than just what is medically necessary.

This causes Spencer to blush even more, and she pointedly clears her throat, throwing a good-natured glare in Oliver's direction.

"Hey," He holds his hands up. "I'm just sayin'. Timmy and I know all about the importance of… privacy." He winks, then decides to give them a break.

He does their hands first, while their feet are soaking.

"Polka dots, hm? Very chic."

Aria gets the white polka dots on her ring fingers, and she is admiring them as Spencer gets her fingernails painted the light brown with a pink stripe on her index fingers.

While their nails are drying, he does the hot wax on their feet, smoothing out the skin and massaging a little lotion on them, before washing his hands, putting some things up, and getting the necessities for painting their toenails.

Once their two hours are up, Aria and Spencer are feeling much more relaxed, and they have had a blast with Oliver, catching up on his and Timothy's lives post-college. Timothy, Ollie's fiancé, is finishing up school, and is working towards becoming a Veterinarian, while Oliver has discovered he truly loves working in a Hair/Nail Salon.

They go to Spencer's house and end up watching some movies in the Barn. Then, Spencer drops Aria off at home to freshen up before picking her up and going to Timothy and Oliver's apartment.

Spencer takes charge here, being the one to open Aria's door, and help her out of the car. They hold hands going up the walkway to the building, and, since their apartment is on the second floor, Spencer says,

"You take the elevator, I'll take the stairs – race you!"

And then she takes off towards the stairwell. With Aria just shaking her head because, yeah, this is the person she calls her girlfriend.

Surprisingly, Aria beats her, and she goes to stand in the doorway of the stairwell, watching in amusement, as Spencer is walking behind someone on their cellphone and completely ignoring the fact that they are in the middle of the steps, so Spencer is unable to just squeeze by them.

The person moves on towards the third set of stairs, and Spencer makes a face at Aria as she finally comes into the second floor.

"Oh, hush!"

Aria laughs out loud as she takes Spencer's hand and drags her down the hall to the right apartment door.

They are let in and are greeted by Timothy Lawson, Ben and Oliver's parents, John and Melinda, and of course, the other girls – Hanna and Emily – along with Caleb, and Maya, Emily's girlfriend.

They eat dinner, and you can just tell that Timothy and Ollie are having a blast. They keep hinting towards some secret, and are practically buzzing with excitement. It takes everything in Aria and Spencer not to let the others in on the secret only the four of them know.

Finally, though, right before desert, Timothy stands up.

Before now, he had been keeping a hold of Oliver's left hand, always covering up the older Coogan boy's ring finger. Meanwhile, he had his ring on his right hand, so therefore it was also hidden.

But now?

Now he stands.

Now, Timothy Lawson moves that ring from his right hand to his left, ring finger.

Now, 25-year-old Timothy says,

"We invited everyone over for a very special reason."

John and Melinda look like they may know what is going on, and…

"Last night, after getting permission from John and Mel, I asked Oliver–…" He intertwines their hands, smiling at his fiancé. "–to spend the rest of his life with me!"

They hold their hands up at the same time, showing off their matching gold bands.

It is silent for…

Exactly 8 seconds.

Then, absolute chaos.

First Ollie and Ben's parents are leaping up to hug them, then, Hanna squeals and basically jumps over the table to get in the hug. Emily and Maya soon follow along with Ben and Caleb, and it is just…

Spencer pulls Aria into her arms, resting her chin on the younger girl's shoulder. They may only be 16, but…

"Best first date ever."

She whispers in her girlfriend's ear as they watch their family celebrate and be… happy.

Don't know what that ending was but I had Ollie come in for their medi/pedis and yeah. Who loves Oliver Coogan?!

Btw, Ollie is Ben Coogan's older brother. He is 26 years old. He and his fiancé have been together about 8 years. I had this planned out to simply be Sparia getting "beauty treatments together" because that was the prompt, then I added Ollie, and decided to make him gay, and then I had him be engaged, and then the dinner announcement happened, and yeah…

Please review and let me know what you thought! :)
