I'd open my eyes to find myself in a hospital room, an ad for Stark Expo playing on the TV. I didn't get much time to think, as not long after, a doctor came in to check on me.

"We'll just run some quick tests to make sure you're alright, and then you can leave," she stated, "Sound good?" I nodded along, not caring what she wanted do. I had better things to worry over, namely being stranded in a comic book.

I was fucked, so badly fucked. No place to stay, no money to my name, I was on my own. As if I didn't already have enough trouble, I was 14 again, leaving me no way to earn money or do anything really. Fuck!

Okay, calm down Jason, take a deep breath, and think. First off where was I? "Hey uh- doc?"

"Mary."

"Uh, Doctor Mary, where am I?"

"As in?"

"What state, or city?"

"Oh New-"she froze. I waited a while for her to answer, but she just stood there silent.

"Uh Mary?" I waved my hand in her face, snapped my fingers, she didn't respond. To my horror I realized everything around me just stopped, like just stopped altogether. The clock that was ticking away, just stopped, the TV froze in the middle of a Pepsi ad, while a fly that been bugging me for a while was suspended in mid air

"Sorry about that." I whipped my face to see a bald Tilda Swinton smiling at me.

I noticed the Eye of Agamotto around her neck was glowing green. The Time Stone

"I assume you know what this is then, with how closely you're looking at it?" she gave me a pointed look.

At first I contemplated saying no, but realized that the Ancient One might be my one source of help. I was a 14 year old kid in God knows where, with no place to stay or money to spend. Thus, it would not be in my best interest to lie and get off on the wrong foot. Plus, she'd probably know if I lied, being Sorcerer Supreme and all that.

"The Time Stone," my throat felt very dry.

She hummed in agreement, eyeing me with curiosity, making me feel a bit uncomfortable at the scrutiny.

She seemed to have realized this, as she immediately stopped, "I wished to talk with you over a cup of tea, if you wouldn't mind Mr Ward?"

My mouth fell open in shock, but I immediately closed it again. Right, she was a powerful magic user, she probably knew more than just my name if she'd decided to stop TIME to come visit.

I gave a small nod. Smiling she moved her hand in a circular potion, opening up a portal. I watched in amazement, something I'd only seen in movies and comics was happening right in front of me.

"After you."

We had been sitting in the Ancient One's room for almost ten minutes now. I was busy, surveying each and every corner of the room; while she, being the polite host that she was, silently waited for me to stop fanboying, a pot of tea in hand.

"So what is it you want to talk about?" I decided to finally ask, having noted down the details of the same vase for over three times now.

She smiled, pouring out tea into two cups, and offered me one. I took it, but didn't take a sip.

"For starters, I know you are not from here, so, where are you from?"

I did my best to explain in as much detail as I could muster. About Shazam, the powers, the white space, how I was just randomly thrown here. I even went on to tell her about the comic book part, where he held up her hand to tell me to stop.

"This is much more complicated than I thought it would be," she gave me a curious look, "So you can invoke the name of the sorcerer to obtain these powers?"

I nodded in confirmation, "You believe me?"

She nodded, "As outlandish as it sounds, I do. You're either telling the truth or have the most vivid imagination in the world."

She gave a light chuckle, as I smiled in relief.

"So you'll help me?"

"I will, so long as your intentions are for Good, and to help protect earth from these cosmic dangers, you foretell of," She said.

Great! "However, would you mind showing me this power?"

Uh. Well if it helped gain her trust. I took a deep breath, before shouting with conviction, "Shazam!"

A bolt of lightning hit me.

"Impressive," she remarked. "I can sense the energy coursing through you, it's powerful, but it has not a hint of darkness or malice."

"Uh, thank you?"

"Forgive me; I have never seen anything like this before." Yeah well, me neither lady. I waved my hands about; the suit didn't feel uncomfortable, or restricting. I felt…powerful, like I could crush a rock with my bare hands. Knowing Shazam's powers, I could do that and so much more.

I set my sights on the flower vase that I had become all too familiar with. Not truly thinking about what I was actually gonna do, I flexed my finger and pointed it at the vase, willing myself to use the Power of Zeus.

It went well, a bolt of lightning arced across my arm, to my fingers and shot out at the vase, exploding it to a million pieces.

My sense of euphoria lasted for a split second, as I soon realized whose vase I'd exploded. The Ancient One didn't seem to mind that I'd destroyed the vase, she seemed more curious about the fact that I could shoot lightning.

With a wave her hand, the vase fixed itself, and placed itself back to where it was.

"That puts aside the doubt of you channeling the Dark Dimension," she remarked.

"You thought I was channeling the Dark Dimension?" she really didn't believe me after all, not that I could really blame her. At least, she was sure I wasn't evil.

"I did, however, seeing your powers up close have put those worries aside," she said, "Forgive me for lying to you."

I waved her apology off. It was fine. "You will help me now then, won't you Ancient One?"

"I will, but I have a request."

I frowned, "What request?"

"You said I will be killed by Kaecilius in 2016, and that Stephen Strange would take my place after, as I hoped he would."

"Yeah…" what as she getting at.

"In that case, I would like to request you to not try to save me. I have come to accept my death for over centuries now, and I have made my peace with it," she looked straight into my eyes, "Let me die, for the betterment of the future."

I was taken aback by her request, never thought I'd have someone say that to me. I gave her a nod of affirmation, however. It was her wish, and besides, Dr Strange was going to be a very powerful Sorcerer Supreme regardless.

She smiled, "Then it is my honor to welcome you as trainee Master of the Mystic Arts."

Grinning like an idiot I bowed, "The honor is mine. So do I like move in here?"

"I had something else in mind." I wonder what.

"You doing alright there Jason?" Jonah asked the boy sitting at the back of the police cruiser.

He gave small "yes", barely audible. 'Poor kid,' he thought. Parents killed in some archaeological excavation up in Egypt, leaving him the only survivor of the excavation. When he'd read the kid's bio he'd felt horrible for him. No family or friends to take him in, the kid bounced from one foster home to another, running away. He'd ran away from his latest foster home, a week prior and had been living under a park bench when the meteor had struck and he'd found him.

He groaned in pain, at the sudden headache he felt. 'Goddamned migraines'

So after knowing that, he'd talked with Sara, his wife, and they'd both decided to adopt Jason as their own. They'd been meaning to adopt beforehand, and Jason seemed a godsend.

They'd already have two biological kids beforehand, but Jonah wanted their third kid to be adopted, just like him. In a way, he and Jason weren't so different after all. He'd lost his parents young, and had bounced from one home to another before finding home with his stepparents.

He hoped him and Sara would be the same for Jason.

"You want something from the Drive-Thru?" he asked.

"A cheeseburger and fries," he said. He paused for a while before adding, "And some cola?"

Jonah smiled, "You got it."

If you couldn't tell, the Ancient One magicked to adjust people's memories and fabricate the SI's past. The first two chapters were just prologues, the real story's about to begin soon. Hope you enjoy!
