Nagisa was busy playing the new Kate Bishop DLC for the Avengers game when he's phone rang, he knew who it was straight away due to the customised ringtone he had set for the caller.
"Hey honey" Nagisa said,
"hey, what are you up to?" Kurahashi asked
"Just checking out the new Kate Bishop DLC" Nagisa said while he was playing the game
"Wait really?" Kurahashi asked shocked "I thought we were going to check it out together!" she whined
"Yeah, and come on don't make that expression, you know you've been putting hours into Spider-Man Miles Morales without me there" Nagisa shot back
"Maybe" Kurahashi bashfully said "anyway I have two things to show you"
"And they are?" Nagisa asked
"News about the MCU and something soft, lacy and see-through" Kurahashi smiling even though her boyfriend couldn't see it
"I'll let you up" Nagisa said 'I wonder was that is, and how see through' he pondered
"So what's up?" Nagisa asked
"well recently Disney had their big investor's day thing" Kurahashi said booting up her laptop and linking it to Nagisa's TV "Showcasing what they have coming up, which included Star Wars and Marvel Studios" Kurahashi said
"So what did they have in it?" Nagisa asked curious about it, mainly the Marvel section
"Information about new projects, a couple of new trailers and just basic cast information" Kurahashi said shrugging
"Such as?" Nagisa asked
"Well they started off with Wandavision" Kurahashi said showing Nagisa the new trailer
"Still looks like an old school sitcom, but there's something else at work here" Nagisa said as it switched from being a sitcom like situation to something else.
"The glitching could be Wanda's mind fighting back against what is holding her captured" Kurahashi said
"The woman on the bike, she featured heavily in the first trailer, and rumours are that Agatha Harkness, which I don't know that much about" Nagisa said "Hold on was that the mind stone, but I thought that they were all destroyed!" Nagisa exclaimed
"Capt took them back to where they originally were remember?" Kurahashi asked
"Yeah, but how does Vision have it when it was destroyed during the Wakanda siege which still happened post Endgame" Nagisa explained
"We don't know if the Wakanda siege still happened" Kurahashi said
"I think it would" Nagisa said.
"Anyway, it also has Monica Rambeau, Max from the Thor Trilogy in it and it appears SWORD shows up" Kurahashi said
"Cool, kind of looking forward to that" Nagisa said "So what else was dropped?" he asked
"Next was a trailer for the Falcon and Winter Soldier" Kurahashi said as she loaded it up and let Nagisa watch it, after it was done Nagisa smiled
"That looks cool, and the stuff about the legacy of the shield is probably going to fit into it somewhere" Nagisa said
"But then there's that rip-off US Agent" Kurahashi said
"Government approved replacement due to the Accords still being in place" Nagisa said
"I thought either the snap or Endgame would have gotten rid of those" Kurahashi said
"Same here, but obviously they didn't, but they must have lessen since Capt was able to run those counselling groups" Nagisa said
"Probably because they were still reeling from the snap" Nagisa said "Also I thought this was suppose have Zemo as the villain, the only thing we saw of him was that of who I assume is Bucky dropping the bullets on the ground in front of him" Nagisa said
"Maybe those masked people were his enforcers or henchmen" Kurahashi said
"I don't know, but March next year" Nagisa said
"It will fly by, besides you have to wait a bit longer for the next one" Kurahashi said.
"Wait, is this?" Nagisa said seeing footages of Loki's escape in Avengers Endgame
"The Loki trailer" Kurahashi said smiling as she watched her boyfriend just take in the awesomeness of the trailer "So what do you think"
"It's going to be fun, what with the TVA and possibly the Living Tribunal in this series" Nagisa smiled
"The Living Tribunal, I think I've heard of them before" Kurahashi said
"he's staff was in Doctor Strange, wielded by Baron Mordo" Nagisa said
"What does he do anyway?" Kurahashi asked
"He kind of guards the multiverse" Nagisa said shrugging "Hang on, that planet looked like the one where they had to get the Soul Stone from, and that person even looked like Black Widow, only it's not"
"How do you know?" Kurahashi asked
"See in the background, those are pipes, that means there not on the soul stone planet, and that redhead could be the new female villain, you know the one who dumps the lantern on the ground" Nagisa said pausing the scene in question.
"Oh yeah" Kurahashi said
"Oh wow, that looks like a scene from the 'Vote Loki' comic series. Anyway this acts out like a sort of crime thriller" Nagisa said "Still looks cool, so what was the next thing they announced?" Nagisa asked.
"This one" Kurahashi said showing a trailer for an animated series, it gained Nagisa's attention for a bit until he recoiled at one scene "what?" she asked
"Marvel Zombies, why on Earth 616, are they doing that?" Nagisa complained
"What If there were Marvel Zombies?" Kurahashi said
"Still it looks interesting, what with Peggy Carter: Captain Britain, Marvel Zombies, Dar Dr Strange, T'challa the Star Lord, I'm pretty sure that was Steve Rogers as Iron Man. Plus who knows what else, looked like there was stuff in there from Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain Marvel" Nagisa said
"Yep, I'm interested in what other stories they show" Kurahashi said.
"So what else did they announce?" Nagisa asked,
"Just a whole heap of information about their upcoming movies such as release dates, majority of what they showed is coming out next year" Kurahashi said
"Man, I hate how it was delayed a whole year" Nagisa said
"What did you expect, they thought people might need a year off just to recover from Endgame*" Kurahashi said "Well first up he announced that Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness would connect to Wandavision and Spider-Man 3, which is just a live action Into the Spider-verse just without Miles Morales" Kurahashi said
"Interesting, that's going to be a big gamble" Nagisa said
"Also Shang Chi has wrapped in Australia" Kurahashi said "And they revealed some of the character, which I don't recognise any" Kurahashi said
"The only one I recognised from the list was Shang Chi and Razor Fist" Nagisa said "He's a guy with swords for hands" Nagisa explain
"Oh" Kurahashi simply said "That would make things awkward"
"No kidding" Nagisa said.
"So next are some of the newer things they announce, like the main actress for the She-Hulk series as well as both the Abomination and Hulk returning, and there was the hint of other Marvel characters that are going to appear in the series as well, so maybe we may get Daredevil in there as well" Kurahashi said happily
"About time, I just hope they get the actor who played him in the Netflix series to play him" Nagisa said "The cancellation of that show was one of their biggest mistakes" Nagisa said annoyed about that
"No kidding" Kurahashi said nodding her head.
"So what's next?" Nagisa asked
"Just some information on Black Widow, Eternals and Blade" Kurahashi simply stated. "Oh, there was some mention on Moon Knight as well, namely who was directing it, who I have never heard before"
"Isn't the guy playing Moon Knight the same actor who played Apocalypse?" Nagisa asked curiously
"Yeah, Oh and there was some news of Hawkeye!" Kurahashi exclaimed.
"Well don't leave a guy hanging" Nagisa said smiling
"It's in production right now and they've got Haliee Steinfield as Kat Bishop" Kurahashi said happily
"Isn't she the girl who were in the Bumblebee movie?" Nagis asked
"Yep as well as playing Spider-Gwen in Into the Spider-Verse and it will feature heavily on what Clint did as Ronin and possibly feature the character of Yelena Belova" Kurahashi said
"Man the Black Widow movie isn't even out yet and they're already planning how to fit her in." Nagisa said
"Now we got the stuff we never knew before, about the different movies coming out" Kurahashi said
"Such as?" Nagisa asked looking slightly confused
"Well for starters the Thor Love and Thunder movie is about to start shooting and that the actors for Thor, Jane Foster and Valkyrie are returning, and new cast member Christian Bale as Gor the God-butcher" Kurahashi explained.
"Hold on!" Nagisa exclaimed "Gor the god-butcher! That's going to be epic, especially if they give him he signature weapon"
"Which is?" Kurahashi asked
"All-Black" Nagisa said smiling in excitement
"The rugby team?" Kurahashi asked making Nagisa face palm hard
"The sword made out of the symbiotes" Nagisa stated
"Oh" Kurahashi said blushing "Anyway they confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, a series of shorts about Groot as well as a holiday special for them."
"A Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday special?" Nagisa asked confused "Please tell me it's not going to be like the Star Wars ones" Nagisa groaned.
"Hope not" Kurahashi said "and we have more information about the Black Panther sequel"
"Yeah?" Nagisa asked facing his girlfriend
"They've decided not to recast the role of T'Challa for it, and are going to explore Wakanda and more of the characters from there." she stated
"Okay, its good they're not recasting him, but that does put a bit of worries on the fandom that they might not see him again" Nagisa said a bit saddened
"They could use a different T'Challa for a different multiverse" Kurahashi said
"Could work" Nagisa mused.
"They also talked about Ms. Marvel a bit" Kurahashi said as she sat down next to Nagisa who was starting the Avengers game back up so Kurahashi could play as Kate Bishop
"Which was?" Nagisa asked in curiosity
"Only the main actress, some of the directors and the fact she is going to be in Captain Marvel 2 alongside Monica Rambeau"
"The same Monica from Wandavision?" Nagisa asked confused
"Yep, and I just looked up one of the directors of Ms. Marvel, turns out she directed an episode of the Punisher' Kurahashi stated
"Okay so one of them has handled Marvel stuff before" Nagisa nodded
"Another thing they announced was the title for the sequel to Ant-Man and the Wasp" Kurahashi said
"Which is?" Nagisa asked getting distracted before turning back to the screen just in time to block and enemy attack
" Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania!" Kurahashi said
"what kind of name is that?" Nagisa asked confused
"One that hints they're dealing with the Quantum realm, and that also makes sense with Kang the Conqueror being the main villain" Kurahashi said
"Kang, they're using Kang the Conqueror; one of the biggest threats the Avengers, the descendant of Reed Richards is being used as the main villain of the third Ant-Man movie!" Nagisa exclaimed nearly dropping the controller, only to pass it off to Kurahashi "Seriously they could have saved him for the fifth Avengers film, but instead they're using him for Ant-Man 3!"
"He could become the next Loki, like he appears in a standalone movie and was still in the Avengers movie" Kurahashi reminded her boyfriend.
"I guess, you think they could be using Quantumania to set up Kang as the next major threat after Thanos?" Nagisa asked as Kurahashi gave him back the controller to which she answered by simply.
"So anything new that we hadn't heard of before show up there?" Nagisa asked as he passed the controller to Kurahashi since he was taken out
"yep four things; first were three new TV shows" Kurahashi said
"Let me guess, one of them is a Sub-Marnier show" Nagisa joked
"Nope, they were: Ironheart along with the actress she was playing her" Kurahashi said
"I'll have to see who it is" Nagisa stated
"New comer I think" Kurahashi said dodging an enemy attack
"What are the other two?" Nagisa asked
"Secret Invasion and Armor Wars" Kurahashi replied plainly
"You have GOT TO BE KIDDING!" Nagisa exclaimed making Kurahashi jump "Sorry honey"
"What's wrong with those?" Kurahashi asked worried before noticing that Nagisa was actually smiling
"They are actually two of the biggest events in comic history, heck the MCU has tried to tackle the Armor wars story line in Iron Man 2. But Secret Invasion was ultimately one of the biggest crossover comic book series that Marvel had ever done outside, heck the online theories were saying that it was going to be the next major arc of the MCU after the Infinity Saga" Nagisa explained
"Oh cool" Kurahashi said using one Kate Bishop's hero techniques in the game
"So what characters are heading those series up?" Nagisa asked
"Rhodey for Armor Wars" Kurahashi said failing to dodge an enemy attack
"No shocker there" Nagisa said
"And Fury and Talos the Skrull from Captain Marvel is heading up Secret Invasion" Kurahashi said passing the controller back to Nagisa who kissed her cheek.
"That was a lot of things they announced" Nagisa said leaning back in his chair
"Actually there was one more big surprise" Kurahashi smiled slyly
"what is it?" Nagisa asked intrigued
"Marvel Studio's Fantastic Four?" Nagisa asked seeing the teaser image; "They're doing a Fantastic Four movie! Well good luck" Nagisa smirked. "It's going to be difficult to make a good movie out of that" he said
"Oh I don't know, given the who the director is" Kurahashi sang
"Yeah, whoever they got must be a brilliant director" Nagisa said finishing the mission
"Well, he has worked on another Marvel property before" Kurahashi said
"Which one?" Nagisa asked curious upgrading some of Kate Bishop's gear.
"the director of the MCU Fantastic Four movie, is the director of the MUC Spider-Man movies" Kurahashi smugly smiled
"You got to be kidding me" Nagisa was dumbfounded "Okay I admit that has gotten me excited for it now!" Nagisa said as he placed an arm around Hinano and pulled her close "I think it might be time to re-watch the MCU movies again" Nagisa said
"Yep" Kurahashi agree. "but release order or chronological order?" she asked looking at Nagisa
"I'll let you pick" Nagisa said helping up his girlfriend so they could go and watch the MCU again.
G'day Guys Grizz here so I know the investor's day thing was a while ago (That's how long its taken me to think of what to write) but here is Nagisa and Kurahashi reacting to things as the start of a new wave of the 'Geeky love series' probably one of my favourite fanfic series to write outside of the ACH...(an idea there) Now I know there was also stuff about Star Wars and plain Disney stuff as well including the new Baymax series, but I just wanted to focus on the Marvel stuff because that contained some of the biggest surprises to me. Not that the others didn' there were some surprises (Namely Lightyear and Rogue Squadron)
Now you may have not noticed that one of these '*' showed up. Well that is the official reason the MCU was detailed in this universe unlike ours where we have a nasty little outbreak here and no I'm not going to have that in my fanfics! but sadly Chadwick did pass away in the Geeky love series
