"Hello?" Jack asked confused.

Jack just jumped out of the portal to see most of his sprites in his living room.

It was chaos as everyone kept running around making their own sort of noise. That wasn't surprising but at the center, there was a man sitting in the ground.

"Took you long enough-" the man said, turning around and paused looking at Jack up and down.

"You.."

Jack blinked and rubbed his eyes.

"Became a mortal." Jasper sighed. "Figures" Jasper stood up and dusted his pants.

"What's with the escorts?"

Jack turned around to see nothing behind him. Jack scratched his head.

"What escorts?" Jack asked looking at the man again.

Jasper raised an eyebrow and rubbed his chin. "Guess you're still a kid then." Jasper mumbled.

"Anyways, hi, I'm Jasper. Spirit of Summer." Jasper offered his hand to Jack. Jack reluctantly took his hand.

Jasper smiled and squeezed Jack's hand.

Why is the spirit of Summer here? Jack's mind quipped.

"I'm here to officially greet the new Sheppard of Winter." he bowed.

Jack bowed in response. A clap was heard.

"Very nice. The two brothers are now workmates" Pitch smirked. Jasper frowned.

"Yeah well, I waited for a while." Jasper sneered but then smirked.

"Long time no see to you too, grandpa" Jasper laughed at the ugly face Pitch was making.

"Now I get to spend time with my opposite brother" Jasper went and headlocked Jack.

"It was a long time, you know. Seasonal spirits should really stick to each other more. I was super lonely"

Jack removed himself from Jasper. "Why?"

It was a loaded question from Jack.

Why didn't you talk to me?

Why didn't you approach me?

Why haven't I see you?

If you're my brother, why didn't you see me?

Jasper paused, looking at Jack's face.

"I always see you, Jack." Jasper said fondly and walked around. Jack followed him.

"You were always so quiet when you're not talking to yourself that is."

Jack cringed. How can this guy know him?

"Oh and by the way" I can hear your thoughts. You should hear mine, too. If you focus enough

Jack stumbled in his feet. He almost landed in his face except Jasper hold him up.

"Don't worry I'm not telling anyone." Jasper said, face slightly pink.

"Sorry if you're angry but it was a wish I made a little after my old man died." I didn't mean to offend you or invade your privacy

Jack nodded softly. What else can he do? The man in front of him seems to know a lot about him while Jack has no idea who this guy is.

Sensing his thoughts yet again, Jasper gave him a soft smile. "I've been looking at you. It's time you look at me, too" Jasper messed with Jack's head again.

"Now, you must be overwhelmed. I'm gonna take my leave." Jasper put his hand in front of Jack.

When Jack didn't react, Jasper laughed a little.

High five?

Jack nodded again and high five the man

"I'll see you tomorrow" Jasper jumped, hovering with the wind.

"See you, too. Grandpa" Jasper stuck his tongue out to Pitch.

Pitch coughed annoyed.

The winter sprites had been quiet but now that the summer spirit is gone, all of them simultaneously jumped to Jack.

"Guys, guys!" Jack laughed.

"Sorry I'm late"

After taking care of immediate concerns of his sprites, Jack has taken refuge in his room.

This day is just so exhausting.

Jack has a lot of questions.

Like what did he and Pitch talk about?

Why does Pitch have the snow globe portal?

Who is this Jasper and what does he want with Jack?

I'm your brother. Just treat me like one.Jack flinched and immediately looked around.

There wasn't anyone inside his room. Pitch went ahead to Mother Nature to talk about Jack's new role.

Jack was for once alone in days.

I'm not there, Jack. Think of us as telepathy people.

Please stop reading my mind.

It's annoying. Jack couldn't help but think. He was already regretting thinking that.

Jack could hear a laugh.

I figured that. Unfortunately now that you can see me, I don't exactly know how to turn it off. I have nothing to do now, you see.

Jack frowned. Then sleep.

Jasper laughed again. You're talking.

Jack's face paled. Did I kept you up?

It wasn't bad. I don't need to sleep that much anyways.

Jack could only apologize profusely. I'll try to sleep now.

That would be great.
