They made their way down to the lake. Emma took a cloth from her pocket and got it wet then put it on Regina's cheek.
"So who's gonna be sharing a tent?"
Emma said trying to distract Regina from the pain of her cheek.
"I'm not sure, now that I know you and captain guy liner aren't a thing, I don't really have anyone in mind"
Emma nodded as she hit a spot on Regina's cheek which made the brunette wince in pain.
"That hurt"
Emma pulled the cloth away and looked at Regina's cheek.
"Yeah, it's bleeding, it's a little deep."
Regina sighed.
"I don't wanna waste my magic on my cheek."
Emma dipped the cloth back in the water.
"You won't have to, it should heal in a day or two, it's not that bad"
Emma put the cloth back onto Regina's cheek. Regina looked up to Emma.
"Well I mean, I guess we could share a tent? I mean I don't wanna sleep next to a pirate and neither do you and I can tell TinkerBell definitely won't want to. So? I mean the tent is big enough that we don't have to sleep as close as your parents do"
Emma nodded as her thoughts wandered.
"That sounds fine"
Regina could tell Emma wasn't all in it.
"You ok?"
Emma looked at Regina in the eyes.
"Huh? Oh, yeah"
Emma nodded but Regina wanted to know.
"Oh come on Miss Swan, you can tell me, I won't bite."
Emma rolled her eyes playfully as she sighed.
"It kind of bothered me when you said you thought Killian and I were a thing, he's the last person I'd love..."
Regina furrowed her brows, she didn't know it bothered Emma so much.
"Oh, I'm sorry I just kind of figured because you guys kinda of have a flirty thing going"
Emma scoffed.
"Flirty? No, he hits on me and I walk the other way! I would seriously rather kiss you"
Emma froze at what she just said, she lowered the cloth.
"I uh- I mean... well like if I had to? Like between you and him, I would kiss you before him, because I don't like him, I like you. No no, I meant I like you, UGH!"
Regina liked watching the blonde panic, it was kinda cute, she smiled softly.
"Aw, now don't panic Miss Swan, I'm available"
Regina gave a small smirk, Emma looked up at the brunette and something in her changed, her panic went away, but her desire for her didn't.
"What I meant was, I like you, I don't like him because I like you"
Regina was shocked at that comment, she stood up to be at the blonde's height. Emma didn't know what was gonna happen but she hoped she didn't fuck up.
Regina grabbed the blonde and kissed her, she didn't know why but she did.
Emma kissed her back as she pulled the brunette closer by her jacket. After about 20 seconds they pulled apart breathing a bit harder and they looked at each other.
"I like you too Miss Swan"
Emma looked up at Regina, she never thought this trip would come to this. I guess they call it Neverland because things that would never happen, happen.
"I... we should get back to camp, they're probably worried"
Emma put her hair behind her ear and walked in front of Regina, Regina followed close behind the blonde. They grabbed the wood and went back to camp.
When they made it to camp Killian was the first to say anything.
"Ah Swan! We missed you"
TinkerBell looked at the pirate she was sitting away from, she rolled her eyes.
"Some of us didn't"
Killian looked at Tink and Tink gave a sarcastic bitchy grin.
"We got the wood, sorry it took so long we... we fell"
Emma was out of sorts, Snow looked worried for her daughter but couldn't even begin to imagine what happened at that lake.
"I- I fell , I need to go clean off. Regina and I will be sharing a tent tonight because TinkerBell needs somewhere to sleep, I- I'll be back"
Killian followed the blonde as everyone else just looked so confused.
"Oh come on Swan, I know you like me, it's paining you to not kiss me! So just do it."
Emma turned around in a little bit of a rage.
"Killian! I don't like you, please just go away and let me cool off"
Killian squinted his eyes as he noticed something.
"You- you have Regina's lipstick on you"
Emma panicked, she touched her lips and noticed she did indeed have some of the brunette's nude colored lipstick on her lips.
"Well I don't know why. Killian please leave"
Killian turned around and walked back to camp confused.
Regina sat on a rock away from everyone trying to process what happened down by the lake. She missed the blonde's lips and secretly wished it had gone a little further.
"Regina?"
She heard a familiar voice behind her and she snapped out of her thoughts. She turned around to see Snow, Emma Swan's mother, the last person she wanted to see right now.
"Yeah?"
Snow sat down next to Regina.
"You just seem a little off, are you ok?"
Regina looked at snow confused, she didn't think Snow actually paid attention to her enough to see when she was acting different.
"Yeah, I'm fine"
Snow nodded.
"You know I'm here if you need to talk, I know we've had a... rough past but, we are still friends"
Regina rolled her eyes.
"Ok, thanks, I'm good though"
Snow stood up and smiled softly as she walked away.
Regina sat there stuck in her thoughts until nightfall finally hit. Everyone except her and Emma had gone to sleep, they just sat by the fire in silence not knowing what to say or do, They both knew it was gonna be a long night.
