Olivia White sat alone at Dante's Pizzeria that was 6 blocks from her new house. Why was she alone you ask. Well, she was waiting for her boyfriend of 3 1/2 years Wen Gifford, to show up but he hasn't showed up. No text. No phone call. She left him 5 texts and phone calls which went straight to his voicemail. She already ordered her food and drink. She had ordered a small cheese pizza with extra cheese and a large sprite.
Olivia waited another hour or so for Wen to show up but he never did. Poor Olivia was waiting at Dante's for over 3 hrs. with no sign of Wen. Dante had the news on and the weather report was on. Olivia was watching the weather report. She also asked Dante to have her food to go so she could get home before the storm hit.
"Well folks. Tonight's forecast calls for 75% of a thunderstorm in our area. So please have your umbrella(s) with you. For tomorrow's weather..." The Weather Lady said.
Olivia hung her head and groaned. She forgot her umbrella. She would have taken her Team's car but it was shop because it needed work done on it. Olivia was about to call a cab when she heard a few people sit at her table until one of them spoke.
"Hey Olivia. Where's Wen?" A female voice asked.
Olivia looked up and saw that Jules Winter, Patty Franks, and two unknown males were sitting at her table.
"Oh hey Jules, hey Patty. I don't know where he's at. He was supposed to meet me here at 6:30 for our date night but he hasn't called or texted me. He did text me earlier to let me know that he would be here at 6:45 but nothing else." Olivia said. "I've been here waiting for over 3 hours for him to show up but nothing."
"I am so sorry Olivia. I know we haven't been always friendly to each other but I have always respected you. But I'm sure we could give you a ride home. Oh this is my boyfriend Ian Martin. He is going to Pima Medical Institute to become a doctor." Jules said.
"Nice to meet you Olivia." Ian said.
"Likewise. You would do it for me?" Olivia asked.
"Of course. I'm Nathan Danielson, Patty's boyfriend." Nathan said.
"Nice to meet you as well." Olivia said.
A rumble of thunder was heard off in the distance. Olivia groaned again. Oh how she hates thunderstorms.
"We can go now if you would like." Patty asked. Olivia nodded her head.
"I live 6 blocks away. I really should have brought my umbrella." Olivia said.
"Why do you live 6 blocks away? If you don't mind me asking?" Ian asked.
"I don't mind. My Gram passed away almost a week ago. I had to move out of the house we shared. I own a 9 bedroom, 9 bathrooms with everything in it, a walk in closet in each room, an in ground pool, a Jacuzzi, and a large backyard." Olivia said.
"I am so sorry for your loss Olivia. We should get going if we want to make it to your house before the storm hits." Patty said.
"Thanks Patty. We should get going." Olivia said.
Olivia and the others got up, gathered their things and were just about to go out the door when Olivia heard the thunder crack overhead. They left the door but Olivia stopped again this time and gasped.
"What's wrong Olivia?" Nathan asked.
Olivia didn't say anything just pointed across the street. Jules, Patty, Ian, and Nathan looked to where Olivia was pointing at and what shocked them but also angered them. They all saw Wen kissing another girl, very passionately and almost in a sexual position inside an apartment doorway that led to other rooms.
She couldn't believe her eyes. She started crying silently from the hurt from Wen's betrayal as the thunder crackles overhead and the rain came down. Jules brought out her umbrella and put it over Olivia while Patty shared her large one with her boyfriend and Jules' boyfriend, Ian.
"Olivia, we should go." Jules said as more thunder rolled over them.
Ian and Nathan got into the front seat of his car while Olivia, Jules, and Patty got into the backseat.
"What's your address Olivia?" Ian asked.
"It's 576 Layman Ave." Olivia said.
Ian drove to Olivia's house and pulled into the driveway. Olivia, Jules, Patty, Ian, and Nathan got out of the car and stared at Olivia's house besides her. It was huge. They all ran for the front porch to escape from the rain that was pelting them.
"What do you guys think?" Olivia asked as she unlocked her front door.
"It's amazing!!" Patty said as she sat on of the large couch with her boyfriend Nathan sitting next to her. Jules and Ian sat on the other side of Patty.
"So what are you going to do about Wen?" Jules asked hesitantly. Olivia shrugged.
"I'm not sure. I should text Mo, Scott, Stella, and Charlie to let them know where I live and about that no good for nothing cheating asshole." Olivia said. They all nodded.
"There's drinks in the fridge if you guys want to go help yourselves." Olivia said as she pulled out her phone to text her friends. Patty got up and got some drinks for her, Jules, and the guys.

I'm good thanks. Just ate at Dante's Pizzeria.
Patty, Jules, Ian, and Nathan sat back where they were before. About 30 minutes later, a knock sounded from the front door. Olivia got up from her chair and answered the door.
"Hey guys, come on in and make yourselves comfortable. Oh take your shoes off by the door and set them by the wall if you would please." Olivia asked which they nodded. They left their shoes by the door and walked into the living room and were surprised to see Jules, Patty, and two unknown men sitting on her couch.
"Hello Jules, Patty, and unknown men. I'm Stella Yamada. This is my boyfriend Charlie Delgado. This is Mo Banjeree and her boyfriend Scott Pickett and of course this is Ray Beech." Stella said as she sat down on the other side of Nathan.
"Nice house you got here Olivia." Ray said.
"Thanks. I have 9 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms with everything in it, a walk in closet in each room, an in ground pool, a Jacuzzi, and a large backyard." Olivia said.
"Damn girly. You looking for any roommates?" Stella asked.
"Of course I am. I can't take care of this house by myself. Do you wanna know why I asked for you guys to come over?" Olivia asked and Stella, Charlie, Mo, Scott and Ray nodded.
"Wen is a no good dirty rotten cheating asshole." Olivia bluntly said.
Scott, Charlie, and Ray sat there looking angry while Stella and Mo jumped up and hissed.
"HE DID WHAT NOW!" Stella and Mo hissed out.
"He cheated on me. Caught him in a lie. I saw him at an apartment complex across from Dante's making out with another girl. Jules and her crew offered me a ride home before the storm hit but unfortunately because of Wen yet again, we were caught in the storm." Olivia said. "Enough about him. Wanna see the house?"
"Heck yea we do!" Everyone said.
Olivia brought them to the kitchen which Jules, Patty, Nathan, and Ian already saw. Next she brought them to one of the downstairs bathroom.
"This is one of the bathrooms I have downstairs. Now would you guys like to see the bedrooms" Olivia asked. They nodded their heads.
Olivia brought them to a flight of stairs which they all climbed. The first door on the left is the first guest room.
Olivia had the others follow her to the next seven bedrooms.
The group was in awe of the bedrooms.
"I'm getting tired anyone else?" Olivia asked. "I will have to show you the rest of the bedrooms tomorrow. Anyone want to stay the night?"
Jules and Ian declined, Patty and Nathan declined as well.
"We would love to stop over tomorrow if that is ok with you Olivia." Jules asked and Olivia nodded her head.
"See you tomorrow." Olivia said. Jules, Ian, Patty, and Nathan said their goodbyes and left Olivia's house.
"So does that mean you guys will stay the night?" Olivia asked. Stella, Charlie, Mo, Scott, and Ray nodded their heads.
"Awesome. Stella and Charlie, you guys can have the first room, Mo and Scott the second room, and Ray the third room. Is that acceptable?" Olivia asked. They nodded their heads.
"Good night guys. See you in the morning." Olivia said. Everyone said their goodnights and went to bed.
While everyone went asleep, Olivia couldn't sleep. She laid in her bed thinking about Wen's betrayal.
He broke her heart.
"I wonder how long he has been cheating on me?" Olivia thought. She heard her ring tone go off on her phone singling that she had a message. She looked at her phone and scoffed in disgust. It was from Wen.

Hey baby, I'm sorry I didn't make it to our date tonight. I'll make it up to you. I promise. Georgie got really sick tonight and with my parents out, someone had to take care of her.

It's fine. Don't worry about it. I'll see you some other time.
Olivia sent the message to Wen and rolled over in her bed but she still couldn't sleep.
"Damn him! Ugh he makes me so mad. I can't sleep so I might as well go enjoy a book." Olivia thought as she climbed out of bed and quietly crept down her stairs so that she didn't wake her friends up.
Olivia didn't notice that Ray's guest bedroom was open as she went by his room.
Olivia made it downstairs and went over to her collection of books. The shelf is located in a small study that is attached to the living room. She grabbed the first book to one her favorite cozy mystery author, Jana Deleon and the title of the books "Louisiana Longshot". She had read the other books in one of the series that Jana had written. The Ghost-In-Law series was by far one of her favorites to read. She hoped this series was just as good as the first series she read.
Olivia wasn't aware that she was being watched by Ray as leaned on the doorframe to the kitchen. He decided to speak up.
"Whatcha reading Olivia? " Ray asked. Olivia jumped about 6 feet in the air and turned around to see him.
"Louisiana Longshot by Jana Deleon. I couldn't sleep and the cheat texted me with another excuse on why he missed our and bla bla bla. So I figured I could come read a book. Why are you up?" Olivia asked.
"I see. I couldn't sleep either. I got thirsty, drank some warm milk, and was about to go back upstairs when I saw you come down the steps, go into the room over there, and come out to sit on the sofa." Ray said as he walked closer to Olivia and sits next her.
"Is it a good book?" Ray asked.
"Not sure. I just got it the other day. Its by one of my favorite authors." Olivia said. Ray nodded.
"Do you mind if I keep ya company?" Ray asked. Olivia nodded her head.
"I'd like that. Thanks Ray. As long as you don't mind me reading my book." Olivia said.
"Not at all." Olivia said as she opened her book.
After reading half of the book, Olivia put her bookmark in where she wanted to leave off and yawned. Ray noticed how tired she was.
"Was it a good book?" Ray asked. Olivia nodded her head.
"I love it. It's awesome. I'm loving the mystery part of it." Olivia said.
"Wanna tell me what you've read so far?" Ray asked.
"Basically its about a cia agent that has been taken into witness protection program but here's the kicker. She has to go undercover as her boss's niece in Sinful, Louisiana. She meets the townsfolk and mainly her two newest friends. Gertie and Ida Belle. But they are in the middle of a murder investigation after a bone washed up into Fortune's backyard. Now Gerties and Ida Belles friend Marie, the deceased victims wife, went missing and is accused of the murder but I don't believe it. Neither do Fortune, Gertie, or Ida Belle." Olivia said.
"Wow, that's awesome. Glad you like it. Mind me asking why your living here?" Ray asked.
"My gram passed away last week, which he never went to the funeral. Probably out cheating. He did offer his condolence though." Olivia said. Ray looked pissed off but he quickly wiped it off his face.
"I'm so sorry for your loss Olivia. But Wen is a jerk. He doesn't deserve you. Your beautiful, smart, and let's not forget, amazing. If I was your boyfriend, I would not cheat or lie to you. I would be honest, loving and be by your side whenever you needed me." Ray said. Olivia blushed.
"Thanks Ray. I might break up with him. He's been lying to me for over 3 and years and I'm tired of it." Olivia said.
"Good. You deserve better." Ray said.
"Thanks Ray. I'll finish the book tomorrow." Olivia said.
"Sounds good but what you going to do about that loser?" Ray asked.
"Not sure yet. I still need to get a hold of my great aunt who is my gram's sister but she and her family live in the United Kingdom. On top of it, her daughter Perrie Edwards, is in the world's biggest girl group since the Spice Girls." Olivia said.
"What's the bands name?" Ray asked.
"Little Mix." Olivia said. Ray was stunned to say the least. His niece, Chloe Greene is a fan of the group.
"My niece, Chloe, is a huge fan of the group and wants to meet them one day. My sister, Catherine, says she plays their music all the time." Ray said.
"Maybe I can arrange that once I meet them myself." Olivia said.
"Okie dokie. I'll let her know." Ray said. Olivia yawned.
"Think we should go back to bed and try to get some sleep?" Ray asked.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea but at least the storm has stopped." Olivia said.
"Yea it did and I didn't even notice. Let me escort you to your room and bid you a goodnight." Ray said.
"Thanks Ray. You're the complete opposite of Wen. You're a gentleman." Olivia said.
"Thank you. It may have taken some time for me to change but I have since high school and since I became a father to my beautiful triplets. Before you ask. Me and the mother of my children are not together. That was a mistake but I got my kids out of it." Ray said. It was Olivia's turn to be stunned.
"You have kids? I never knew that. What do you have and how old are they?" Olivia asked.
"2 boys and 1 girl and believe it or not, they are 2 weeks old. Michelle, my babies mom, just called me out of the blue on the day a month ago and told me that she was pregnant with my kids and that she wanted me to know that she was signing all rights over to me. When I asked why she waited this long to tell me and she didn't have answer. She also told me that she was in labor. After they were born, she split town and haven't heard from her since. So I'm a single father." Ray said as they both started going up the stairs. Olivia couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"What are their names"? Olivia asked.
"Jocelyn Rose Beech, Connor James Beech, and Gabriel Michael Beech." Ray said.
"I would like to meet them one day if I may?" Olivia asked.
"Not a problem. I'm going there tomorrow if your free to see them. Here's our stop. Good night Olivia." Ray said.
"Good night Ray." Olivia said.
He kissed Olivia on her cheek and walked into the room he was staying in.
Olivia blushed, held her cheek and went into her room, smiling.
